Precision Overhead Garage Door

They tried to make me pay for a door with a large dent hoping I wouldn't see it. They did not have a permit and installed it anyway. I paid for hardware and they didn't even bring on the job. I had to show them the receipt to prove I paid for it. The supervisor had to come out the next day to fix how the opener was installed. He also had to completely re-do the frame. They left cigarette butts all over my driveway and left screws loose around the driveway. I requested that they show me how to maintain the door and they wouldn't. When the supervisor came out he did end up showing me how to use and maintain the door. The job is still not complete. It will be a total of 2 months before I receive the new panel door.

Service was swift. These guys know exactly what they are doing.

Frank came out to give a quote on the day and time requested. He was very professional and pleasant. He gave me several options, did not push for any in particular, just showed me what they had and let me decide. The price was right in line or even a bit less than what I expected. I scheduled the date and time to have the new door and opener installed. Later I went out to clear the 6' space for them to work. When I went to close the garage door, it broke. I was able to get my car out and physically shut the door with a lot of effort. So I called and asked if there was any way I could get the new one installed sooner. I told the nice lady (I'm sorry but I did not get her name) that I would understand if they would be unable to as I was the one who set the appointment, but she worked on it, rearranged some appointments and scheduled it for the next morning. Justin came at the time scheduled and immediately began working. He had the old out and the new in in a very timely manner. He cleaned everything up very nicely and was also very professional and pleasant. I would certainly recommend the company and would use again.

On time and expert work done without any problems

The tune up fixed an issue with the door popping open after closing.

I called them on a Monday morning, and a real person answered the phone. They were able to send someone the same day for the tuneup and said he'd be there between 4 and 6. Sure enough, by 4:15 p.m., the service tech called to say he was 5 min away. Promptly thereafter, a technician named Keith was here. He was polite, and explained everything very well. He installed new rollers, lubed the hinges and the boom/trolley, and adjusted my door so it would close all the way. Keith inspected all of the systems' part and settings. He worked quickly and efficiently, and was done in about 25 minutes. He also explained a problem associated with my 27-yr old garage door that could cause problems down the road, because it wasn't reinforced and was beginning to sag. I'm not in a rush to replace it or make this preventive repair right now, but it was good to know.

It was fine. It was in my former house. They did a little bit more than the minimum that was part of the offer. Some people come in and their primary goal is to sell you something else. In this case, they didn't. They talked to me about what I needed. It was in the plan. So, they didn't try to stretch it out to other things.

It went very well. Sean was on time and was very knowledgable. He explained what needed to be replaced and which parts were still in working order. The work was done faster than I expected and the results were amazing--we now have the quietest two-car garage door on the planet. My only regret is that I know want to replace most of the hardware on my one-car garage door because it is so loud compared to what was fixed by Precision Overhead Garage Door!! (The one-car garage door is still working so I will leave it alone, for now, but when it comes time to changing it, I will definitely call Precision to do the work!)

Precision Overhead Garage Door Company offered a special on garage door tune ups. I purchased the service and set the appointment even though I had no problems with the garage door. However, I felt that since it has been several years without any issues, I wanted to be aware of any hidden issues or concerns. The technician called before he arrived within the time frame given. He was professional and friendly. He answered all of my questions and recommended replacing my garage door opener in the near future i.e. if it begins to give me problems opening. The two overhead door coils we replaced five years ago were still fine, but the side rollers were showing wear. He suggested to have all ten of them replaced soon or he could replace them on the current visit for a nominal additional cost. I opted for the later as it would be a savings of a future service call. He showed me how worn those rollers were and he replaced them in a short amount time. I am glad that my door is in good shape thanks to Precision. .

We couldn't get the garage door to open - and called Precision - who came out the next day. They spent most of the day replacing everything so that now our garage door makes almost NO noise when it opens and closes - that's great. It sounded horrible before!

We contacted Precision because our Operator arm torqued itself out of the bracket on the door. Carlos Morales, our technician, was early and did an exceptional job. He thoroughly communicated to myself, and my spouse, what his recommendations were versus the 'just getting it fixed' option. Option One: Install an Operator Reinforcement Bracket, re-attach arm. Option Two: Perform Option One, plus replace the items mentioned above (Springs / Wheels / Bearings / End Plates) We are new home owners, and we panicked. I am the type to 'do the right thing' and not band-aid things so I put my trust into Carlos & Precision, based on the reviews I read on Angie's List. I look at some of the pricing in these reviews, now, and I'm seeing people getting almost entirely new garage door implementations for what I paid to have an existing one refreshed. I will never knock Precision for the quality of their work, or their technicians. But, I feel as though if I had shopped around, the pricing would've been substantially less. There was no discount given as an Angie's list member, either, but I'm not sure if they have one or not. Our opener's motor was intermittently failing on us, which our Technician Carlos was able to reproduce. Unfortunately, he could not give us a definitive answer on whether the board in the opener needed to be replaced, or if it was the motor. Carlos was the technician who performed the work on the house last time and came back this time around too. Awesome guy to work with, nothing but praise there. Before I called Precision back out, I figured we were going to wind up replacing the unit. After all, at this point, only the door itself hadn't been replaced so I did some shopping. The total cost for a belt driven system with beam, installation, 2 remotes and a keypad was a little over $600. Believe that this was fair, based on pricing I saw. And now, Precision is on-the-hook for the entire door system (lol), due to the warranty we got with the new unit. Overall, very pleased with the decision to call Precision back out.

William Garcia, our Service Technician, did a great job! He was punctual, respectful, and completed the job in the time he stated that he would. He also took the time to show us several features of our new system, and he was able to work on a busy Saturday afternoon with lots of distractions like dogs and children. He was kind and friendly, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing their garage door serviced. We are very pleased!

From start to completion I was happy with the service. Ben Elliot was our technician and he was on time, very professional, inclusive of his findings, and really great at offering varied options (sort of a good, best, better offer) based on our needs and budget of both time and money. As it turns out our garage door opener is over twenty years old, and even new, isn't ideal for the large door that we have. It was determined that the circuit board was melted by the motor which had to work so hard to do its job that the heat generated caused the damage. This allowed our neighbor's garage door remote to open ours whenever in use! In addition there were safety issues due to the age of the various components...springs, ball bearings, etc and they did not appear to have been addressed in quite some time. All of this was clearly shown to me and Ben made sure to tell me where and why he thought my priorities should be. I have to say that I was taken aback by the total amount needed to get everything resolved. I did not do everything suggested, but did do a lot of it. In the end my "B" for price is more because of pure sticker shock and also because of my time constraints and lack of knowledge of what the average cost to be expected is. That being said, our garage door operates like a dream now! You get what you pay for in this world and even though this turned out to be far more than we anticipated spending, we are very pleased with the outcome. Most importantly, I trust their expertise fully and I would definitely hire this company again after having such a positive all around experience.

They allowed me to go through payment plans. I think they were great. He worked with me to cut down on costs and it was very nice. They have pictures on the computer after they send you an email and they take pictures of each of the workers and there is an article so you feel a little more safe about the person coming to your home.

Ryan came on time and went to work. We just moved into this home and the garage door hasn't been serviced in years. He came and did a tune up and replaced the roller and it runs almost like new! We'll be purchasing a door in the next couple of years and definitely will use Precision Garage Door Service. Thank you for a great experience.

This is the fastest review I have ever done. Matt Leto showed up at my Mom's home. Prepared to work. Great attitude. Very knowledgeable about the his product. We originally prepaid for Wireless Keyless entry. After talking to Matt we decided it would be best to replace old springs (dangerous) and shore up the door, he replaced the rubber on the bottom of the door also. I can't say enough to explain to you how professional and with a sense of humor Matt was. Of course my Mom thought he was adorable! I would recommend this company without any reservations. I would also recommend Matt, if all of the techs are like Matt you can't go wrong. Great company sticks to what they advertise. Don't get much better than that. Thanks

Not only did they come out on a Sunday but the cost is the same. The tech was very knowledgeable, and nice. He looked over the entire garage door system and told us what we needed and what might be needed soon. He also did the repairs in a very timely manner and was very professional.

They showed up with in the time range they gave us. They actually looked at the job and told us it was less severe than they had forecasted it would be over the phone. They cleaned up the work area after they were done. It was a good job. They did it at a fair price.
