 + -1 moreInitial work came in over original quote due to more time and issues involved than were first anticipated. He did warn me that he job was turning out to be more complex than initially quoted. He did get the water flowing, and all the re-wiring done along with a new control box. He also had to locate and repair 2-3 different valves (He gave us a choice of boxes, one more cost effective than the other.) He gave me a quote to repair heads and broken pipes. I conveyed that I needed to keep cost down. When he encountered a break in the main pipe from the well to the system, he advised and offered to forego adding a rain sensor and delay work on a smaller valve to keep the costs down. I appreciated this. The system was a mess and he spent about 3 days total on it, with another person as well. He was always polite, answered my calls and texts and explained the work he was doing. Everything is looking good, and all zones are getting good coverage. I do not know what the going rate for such and extensive over haul should be, but I know our system was a mess from disuse and the lightning strike. He did a good job, and I didn't have to chase him around like I have had to with some contractors.
Description of Work: I have a sprinkler system that has been out of commission for about 7 years. It is connected to a well, which was struck by lightening. The pump and well were redone, but the sprinkler system also suffered damage. Due to financial issues, we did not repair the sprinkler right away as the well was expensive to fix. I contacted Donald at Budget Sprinklers. He came out right away and provided an assessment and estimate. There was extensive damage from the control box, out to the valves and system. He gave me a price to get that up and running, and told me it would be additional to repair heads and broken pipes that might be found.

 + -1 morewould never do business wi a company like this. Too many options out there.
Description of Work: I called them to come out to locate a zone controller box and possible repair to my system. Also have my neighbor that needs a full repair to his 2 acre lawn system. When the tech realized that I might not need more than a simple zone box locate, he said it wasn't worth his time and hung up on me! I called back to inform him of my neighbor, and that his business professionalism needed a tune up. He lauged and said the worst customers are word of mouth and friends. Hope this helps his biz. Caller beware.
