The lady that works the front desk was very nice to me when I first went in. They told me the vacuum needed to get sent to another person who would pick it up, call me with an estimate and then i could decide. Before looking at the machine, he let me know that if i wanted to trade in my vacuum for a new one, she would give me a credit for the current machine and sell me a new one. I was intrigued but my decision would be based on the cost. I waited 10 days and never heard anything. I contacted them eventually. They had to contact this other person who was the dyson expert. He said it would cost $250 to replace the cord or I could trade in my machine for a new one and it would cost me $400. I knew i wasn't replacing the cord for $250. I did some research and the $400 price wasn't very competitive. If I waited, I could find a deal for that price online and therefore I was just giving my machine for free. I also found some online prices for the cord replacement and the part was $30. I wouldn't expect the labor to be $200. Either way, that wasn't a problem. He made me an offer, i wasn't interested. NO big deal. When I called back to say that I wasn't going to take the vacuum or have it repaired, i asked to pick up my vacuum. She said she would have to get it back from the other store (or location/specialist). It would probably be in the following day. I called a few days later before I was going to drive over and she said it wasn't there. I asked if she could find out when it was going to be there. She said she could just give me the number and I could call myself. I was in the car with 2 kids so really couldn't take down a number or call. I asked her if she could call since she had called for me previously. (Up to this point, i had never been in contact with this specialist/alternative location). She was like "fine, bye". Well, she never called me back. I called the following day asking if it was at the store and she very abruptly said yes. When I arrived to pick it up, she didn't say more than 1 word to me. I am not sure if she was upset cause I didn't take them up on the offer or that I asked her to call the other location for me but she became rather rude very quickly. Overall, I gave the rating based on the customer service experience and the price.
