Heating and air installed with what we thought was no problem. Later discovered where they left the gas line crimped. The girl my husband talked to was very rude and only worried about what was on our contract and investigating the situation. She was not worried about our safety at all. It looks like it could start leaking at any time. Finally called back 4 or 5 days later offering their salesman to come and give a quote to replace. They will never work on anything of ours again!

Service Today quoted us a price of $518 (labor) to install a new dehumidifier (parts warranty). When we inquired as to why the cost was so high, we were informed that it would be a two hour or longer job. As Service Today had already diagnosed the problem (at a cost of $219) with the dehumidifier (failed compressor) and would be able to obtain the replacement (a new “plug and play” total unit) under the manufacturer’s parts warranty. When the technician arrived with the replacement unit at 8:30 AM on August 16, I asked him how long the job would take. He responded to the effect “not long, it’s an easy remove and install.” Sure enough, 45 minutes later the technician and his assistant were loading up their van preparing to leave. The assistant asked me for payment but was not able to explain the $518 charge for 45 minutes of work. It was at this point that my wife noticed that the dehumidifier was not properly connected to the remote (no readout, no ability to set humidity level). The technician was notified and returned to investigate. After 10 minutes or so, I asked him if the remote was working as he was entering his van. I didn’t get an answer and shortly thereafter observed him in the van on his phone and reviewing what appeared to be a manual and on his cell phone-- apparently trying to get help on how to fix the remote connection. Thirty-five minutes later, he informed us that the remote was connected and asked for a payment of $518. The technician became very indignant with us when I again asked for an explanation of the bill--- he came very close to demanding that we pay and when I asked to be sent an itemized bill, he stormed out of our house. After the technician left the job, we discovered that the remote was not working properly. Service Today continues to refuse to share any details about what their customer service manager referred to as a "proprietary" billing system. While they are scheduled to return to try and fix what they could not the first time out, we are highly reluctant to recommend Service Today. In fact, we do recommend you retain another outfit with a better track record for competency and transparency.

Ryan & Wade were very prompt arriving at 7:15 am and finished the furnace and Honeywell F 50 air cleaner install by 2 pm. There were no significant issues to speak of. They took precautions to keep our home clean by wearing booties over their shoes and laying tarps from the front door to the basement. They were thorough cleaning up after themselves and left our home in the same condition it was when they arrived. They will install the Mitsubishi system when framing begins to finish our basement.

I was promised an 8:00 AM appointment. No one showed up until 9:20 AM. I called at about 8:20 AM to find out when the technician was coming. The person answering the phone said he was on his way. I called back at about 9:15 and asked to speak to the person in charge. This person said that the earliest appointment they schedule is 8:30 and that the technician could come anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30 and she was somewhat rude and dismissive. This is not the first time that this has happened but it will be the last time because I won't be using them after my current contract expires. Two years ago, I had a similar situation. I had an afternoon appointment (Maybe 1 or 2 PM) After many calls a technician showed up after 5 PM. After speaking to various people in charge, I was told that if I wanted them to be there on time, I should make a 8 AM appointment. This year I did and I still had problems . I've been a loyal Service Today customer for over 10 years but in the last few years I have noticed that they haven't been as responsive as they were initially. I believe that they've grown too quickly and are having issues with the growth.

They came out on a holiday weekend in just a few hours. Diagnosed the problem. Sent a salesman the next day to discuss my needs with regard to a new AC. Installed it a week or so later.

The professionalism of the techs was excellent. The professionalism of the salesman, office and executive staff left much to be desired. When I asked for a statement breaking down the costs of each item - furnace, pumps, materials and labor, I either got lip service or was stonewalled. That makes me wonder if I was overcharged. As a former auditor, red flags are flying all over the place.

We have a contract with them. They have to come twice a year for our warranty to be in effect. I pay once a year $198 and that gives me two visits. One in the winter and one in the summer. It is $198 once a year, but then they come twice a year. They were so good.

We use Service Today. They come twice a year. It was for regular maintenance. They check everything. They check to make sure the airflow is good. They are always here for about an hour. They check all the lights, I don’t know what all they check, but they were checking all kinds of stuff. If something else was wrong, like we have had to call them out before and there was nothing wrong with it and we had to pay for the visit. We thought it was the airflow, something was kicking off too much in there.

The air conditioner had stopped working and that is when they found out it had a shorted out circuit or something. We had these bugs here in the fall. They were imported from Asia somehow a number of years ago. They are kind of like these little beetles and they stink really bad. If you go to grab them like with a kleenex, they smell a lot like cilantro. They call them stink bugs, but they are asian stink bugs.Anyway, they got somehow into the outside control and they were covering this thing, and they shorted out a circuit in the outside panel of our air conditioner system. We had to pay for that. Stuff like that is not free just because we have the service. We kind of didn’t want to have to pay for it because we thought that the unit should have had a cover. It was inside the unit, it was an open circuit inside the unit. My husband said, that should have had a cover on it all along. That part frustrated us, but that wasn’t their fault. It was just the way the unit was manufactured by Trane or whoever it is. Anyway, the guy got a cover for it and we have a cover on it now.

They come out spring to check my AC and fall to check my Heating. You need to call them to set up the appointment. They will call you when they are about a 1/2 hour from your appointment time to let you know they are on their way.

I 'm fairly happy with them. It's a general overall take a look at an make sure everything is running service you have to pay, you have to pay that to make sure your warranty is intact so that's one thing that's kind of annoying you have to pay two hundred dollars a year and they charge you all at once but the guys are awesome that comes they are all really good they all work hard at what they are doing.

It was outrageous it was really expensive I had to get a loan I mean obviously it was a whole new system that need to be. I was a bit frustrated with them at that point I think they didn't know the equipment well enough we had to keep having come back because it was ;like well blah blah blah the sales person said that it will be this they were very responsive. Good it's a ten year warranty so that's good I expected a much better our monthly bill would be less and then in the winter that first year in the first two year was really cold here and so but I definitely notice a big improvement in the summertime bills and that's what of the service guy says you know these energy efficient your not going to see any changes in the winter once they told me that it's like just never trust a sales guy I guess.

Avoid these guys like the plague. I call them up, asking if they have a part in stock that is needed to repair my AC unit. They straight up refuse to answer the question, multiple times. They want me to pay $200 for them to send someone out to my house just to get an answer as to whether the tech has the part needed to repair my unit in stock. That's like calling Best Buy, asking if they have the iPad Pro in stock and them demanding $200 for the answer to the question. An unconscionable way to do business. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Would have given an A but serviceman left a number of screws off of the heat pump. Company sent someone out to install right away. They installed out unit about five years ago and have serviced it twice a year. Great service.
