Service Master

Great communication with frequent emails. Flexible - - we couldn't be home during the beginning of the service call "window". They waited until we were home. The technician was polite, answered our questions and fixed the problem very quickly.

I would say it went as I expected. The repairman was polite and knowledgeable and I have no complaints. I suspected it was the damper but I am not the do-it-your-selfer I used to be. I was happy to hire an expert. Considering that the part was more than half of the total cost, I feel that I got a good deal. The repairman had to make 2 trips I did appreciate his comments on how I could improve upon my organization of my refrigerator shelves. After he left I removed everything and rearranged my fridge. I am quite happy with the results. .

The guy who came out didn’t seem to know what he was doing. He said I needed to replace the pump. I had another company come out who is authorized in Bosch dishwashers, and they said there is nothing wrong with it.

The company not only told me that they could come out the next day (I had called around 4 pm the day before) but he also walked me through some simple troubleshooting, when he easily could've sent someone out for a service call. We unhooked our vent as he suggested and the dryer worked fine. Turns out that the bottom of the vent was clogged with lint and by cleaning it out saved me the hassle and cost of a service call.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal. It turned out okay. There was a part necessary for the refrigerator which was about $55 additional. They were efficient. I don't really have any dislikes. They did an efficient job and I was happy with the result.

We were not in their service area. They were very kind and they apologized in their email and I did appreciate that but it would have been helpful if they had been a little more specific in their description of the areas that they serve.

Provider came out first visit and could not find anything wrong with the dryer even though it was not drying. He said to call back if the problem persisted. The problem got worse. After a second visit, he found the problem was a broken timer.

Since we were not at the unit they were great to come out at a time and date that was convenient for us. They got the part on A Friday and came back out a few days later. It was very simple. They were great.

It went well. Very professional and came on time. The service provider could not perform work because unit can not be repaired, it will have to be replaced.

Appointment was scheduled for between 2-5om, I left office early for this appointment.I called Service Master today at 4pm to check status of the technician arrival. I was told by Manni that the tech was still working in DC and with traffic, Manni couldn't provide an updated status. Although I realize that appointments can run longer than planned and the component of DC traffic, especially during rush hour, it would have been much appreciated if Manni could have been pro-active by calling me by 4pm of a possible delay. Very disappointing customer service and not sure why this company receives such high ratings on Angie's List. Their start time of 7am is also misleading as technicians don't start until 10am.

They came to my house to repair my oven. When we turned the oven on, it was no longer malfunctioning. For that reason, I only paid the service charge of approx. $49 and no longer needed the full repair voucher from Angie's List.

The company was extremely helpful and they scheduled an appointment for the same day. They were honest about how much it would cost to fix the dryer versus buying a new appliance. I would definitely recommend them or use them again.

The service was excellent. The tech (H.P.) arrived right on time, after calling ahead 30 minutes. My greatest concern was the condition of the electric clothes dryer which had not been cleaned in many years and was overheating and drying poorly. He opened the dryer and found that a roller on the drum was stuck and making a noise. I had not focused on that but was pleased to have it repaired. He then cleaned out years of dryer lint that was causing the overheating. H.P. then worked on the kitchen range which was quite old. I mentioned that one of the upper oven elements was not heating well. The tech removed the element and found it was defective. He would have to order the part. I then asked him to check the function of the lower oven elements. Despite working for some time and testing many leads, he was not able to find the problem. The lower oven had been worked on before, had parts replaced, and had not worked properly. I was not surprised that he could not find the problem. Bottom line: I was very pleased with the level of service. The tech, H.P., was friendly, very professional and knew his trade. He worked very hard to make sure that I was completely satisfied. The dryer is now safe and functioning well. Unfortunately, the very old kitchen range is too old for replacement parts and will have to be replaced in the near future. I am very happy with this company and will use them again for any future appliance repairs.

We woke up to find the freezer section of our refrigerator thawing and the whole unit losing temperature. We immediately called Service Master who told us over the phone they would be there within 3 hours. In just 1.5 hours they were at our house and diagnosed the problem within minutes. We agreed on a price and all the work was done in less than 45 min. They were fast and professional and so speedy that we did not lose any of our food through the entire process. Highly recommend!!

I opened the freezer in the morning and noticed condensation on everything. It must have blown in the middle of the night. I hopped on Angie's list and called. They were out by 1:30 and everything was fixed by 2:00. Great service!!!! Would definitely call again.

The technician was able to diagnose the fix the oven with 2 visits, since he had to order a part. It was painless and we are pleased.

The technician was prompt, very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We wrestled the double oven out of the cabinet (without doing any damage I might add!) in order to access the rear access panel and re-set the thermostat. Even though the repair was easy, the access was not. I know of three or four appliance repair companies that would have balked and requested that the appliance be removed and reinstalled by a professional installer, but not this guy, he was steadfast and persistent, did some quick research and then went to it undaunted. I would highly recommend service master if all of their techs are like this guy! It was a great experience!

how to The company customer service contacted me within hours I bought the Big Deal. Service was scheduled for the next day. The technician soon called to discuss the issue I had. When I told him the washing machine was displaying a code indicating door assembly error only a few months after the assembly was replaced, he suggested that he order the parts before coming to the service so I wouldn't waste the Big Deal. I agreed that was a sensible suggestion. We had to reschedule the service again when the part took a day longer to arrive. On the day of the service, the technician came around 2:30 for the 11-2 appointment, but kept me posted of his ETA. When he came, he tested the machine a few times. He explained to me in detail how the newer models work and showed me step by step how to replace the door lock assembly. "Next time you can do it yourself," he said. Lucky, his name, took time to work on every step during the service and was very patient in explaining what he did. I hope all service technicians are like him. The fact that he demonstrated how to do it myself shows he is really interested in helping me rather than just making money. I'm impressed by the efficiency, professionalism and honesty of this company. I'll definitely use its service in the future.

My dryer was not working properly. They set up appt for the next day. Lucky from Service Master first helped me troubleshoot on the phone. Then came out and was able to fix the problem within the hour. Very professional, punctual, knowledgable.

Got an appointment for the second day after I contacted them. He arrived on time. He identified and repaired the problem very quickly. I was very pleased.

Though he was able to diagnose the problem, the washer and dryer were old, and Bosch no longer carries the parts it needed. The technician was very helpful in recommending a new washer/dryer to purchase.

We called the evening of the 13th and they came out the next day. There was no charge for the service visit and while Lucky didn't find anything wrong, he left us with some helpful tips and suggestions to make it run better in the future. Will definitely call these guys for any appliance repairs in the future!

I contacted them on a Wednesday evening and they offered an appointment for Friday. I was unable to accept, and we scheduled for Monday. They provided a window of time, called a half hour before arrival. They arrived promptly. In a short amount of time, the technician fixed the problem by cleaning and adjusting the burners. I was pleasantly surprised that no additional charges were added to the trip charge.
