Keyed In LLC

Was on time, friendly, and quick. Offered several choices of lock and door knob styles and colors. Would use Keyed In LLC again for locksmith services.

Owner does accurately describe what a and quot;service calland quot; includes. Were going to deduct $22 from overall charge. Before purchasing a big deal from them, I would call first to understand what a service call is and additional charges. I was very upset at the time of the appointment, to find out they were charging more than $150, etc. I could have hired any handyman from Angies list for $50-$65 per hour to do this job. Guy negotiated with me and the owner to bring the charge down to $50 plus the $22 I already paid for the big deal. Make sure this is really as competitive as it sounds. I don't think he understands the big deal at all. The reason I rated so lowly is because the work itself was not professional and certainly not worth $72. The young man, Guy was very nice, professional and truly wanted to please me. However, I don't think this was a professional job because the results look sloppy and damage to the door was done. Not just paint (which I expected) but a gouge that I now need to fill with wood filler, etc. So now I have to repair it or hire a handyman (an additional cost). Part of the reason I called a professional locksmith was so I would not have to do that! Also, the lock itself on the side is uneven and looks like an amateur did it. He said it was due to the thinness of hollow six panel doors--- I don't know. The lock and door work properly which is good news. I would be more upset if this were one of my exterior doors and would have asked for a refund. This work was not worth $72. Big deal lesson learned!

The service guy explained all the options and did not try to sell me something I did not need. The installation was quick. Company was running late, but kept us informed of the arrival time.

They came in the next day. They provided advice and gave a 15 % discount. Good quality.

I bought one of the specials offered -- $75 for $100 work of work. First off, I was disappointed because I was unable to locate and view a price list. Secondly, in addition to the $75 I already paid, my daughter was quoted a price of over $200 just to have the lock installed. All we wanted was a simple lock replaced. I never would have guessed the price to be as high as she was quoted. I wanted to cancel the order, however, we were told there would be a cancellation fee and I would loose my money anyway.

The service went well. They were prompt and courteous. I would definitely use them again. The workers were friendly and knowledgeable.

They had to drill holes in the doors to install the locks. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. But it ended up costing more than I anticipated, but that might have been my lack of having anything to compare it to. One of the keys they left me didn't work and one of the door knob locks is very finicky, it has to be just so or it won't open. I probably should have called them back about these things, but it's hard to schedule repair persons.

They were on time, provide an estimate before work. They did exactly what they said and the price quoted.

When I purchased the 2 service calls from Keyed In I mistakenly thought it would cover the cost of whatever work had to be done, minus materials and supplies. It only covered the arrival of the locksmith so the entire bill was still over $200.00. He was very polite, friendly and professional. I was expecting to just have the locks rekeyed but he convinced me it was cost-effective to have them replaced. He said the new locks were Schlage brand but there was nothing to indicate that on either the doorknobs or deadbolts so I'm still not sure they are actually what he said they are.

The locksmith was upfront, honest, and gave thorough justification for his recommendations (installing a brand new regular door knob lock instead of changing the lock on the old one). His work was done in a timely fashion with regular updates on how things were going and changing. For example, he estimated the cost of drilling into a metal door (his initial assessment) and then changed his pricing later once he realized the door was filled with foam and not metal all the way through.

It went well. They didn't have enough time to finish the job because the drywall needed to dry and be sanded.

Guy was very helpful and will return anytime or night on 30 min. notice.

I was searching around for a decent price rekey given a purchase of a new house. KeyedIN was responsive and offered same day service. Once the technician arrived, he evaluated the doors and locks , and broke down the cost and service fee. It was quick and seamless.

They came on time on 2/20/13 and installed 6 new locks. For, one of them, they had to cut the holes necessary. The locks on the front of the house worked for a few days, but they stuck. I called them back and they came to fix them. There were many excuses as to why they didn't work, but they sort of fixed them. The locks were still hard to use, but we learned how to deal with them. One week ago, the top, new lock would not work any longer. On 3/18, we had some workmen in demolishing a bathroom in the basement. They had to use the back door (which is rarely used) that Keyed In put in a new lock. The door was unlocked, but they had to open it frequently to take out the demolition material. The door knob froze and they couldn't open the door any longer. In order to meet the deadline for the truck to pick up the demo material, we had to remove the door from it's hinges - we missed the deadline anyway. I called again today and they fixed the from doors, but refused to do anything about the back door. Again today, the excuse for the front door was that the door was sagging down from the last time they were here. I would not use this company again as: - They are more expensive than most locksmiths in the area - They don't do go work - They do not stand behind their work - 3 of the 6 locks they installed were not installed correctly

I left a message of inquiry. My call was returned quickly to assess my situation. I was told a locksmith was available to arrive in one hour even though it was Saturday. They arrived as promised on time and were professional and friendly.

Perfect! Guy was not only on time, but early! Very professional, efficient and explained everything to me.

I am very pleased with the job done. All my locks are working. I had problems with my back door locks and they are all fixed now. Guy did an excellent job.
