PROS: Friendly tech, responsive company. Good workmanship and efficient. Professionals. CONS: Had coupon but wouldn't quote price to change spring on phone. I figured they'd be competitive. They showed up, and wanted $400.00. FOR ONE SPRING. LOL! They did price match another providers price on Angie's List, but that took some effort on my part. Guess they're used to charging DC customers higher prices but this is the burbs where we don't all have that kind of money to throw at a simple part replacement. It was a real turn-off for me, and it was on the company for not quoting me a part replacement price over the phone when I inquired before scheduling. I suspect they didn't make much on my job either...but not my problem. I was happy to send them on their way after the $400.00 onsite quote, but they were already out here and of course wanted to recoup the tech's time and mileage... Too bad it wasn't a better deal for the both of us!

I wasn't too thrilled with this service in general, but you get what you pay for. I had hoped that they would arrive and spend an hour tweaking out my garage door so that it would make less noise and function a bit better. The house is new, less than 6 years old, and the garage door was a bit noisy. My hope was to silence it. Well, they arrived on time and spent 5 minutes looking at the door and 5 minutes asking me if i wanted a quote on a new system, rails, etc. I said no, that i wanted to tune the current door up and not replace anything. The tech was not pushy at all, was in fact very nice, so i went inside to wait while they did the work. Not 10 minutes later they were done. They simply tightened a few bolts and that was it. Not much changed, door still made lots of noise. I am convinced now that either the door has become progressively worse or the work that was done didnt really fix much. Its been several months and it make more noise than ever.

Technician came out and was very polite, friendly, professional and provided his opinion on a few services he recommended for various areas of my house. He was not salesy nor pushy about the services. The installation of the deadbolt and door lock went well and he made sure I tested it thoroughly and was satisfied prior to leaving. Although the price was higher than I anticipated its great to know I have new commercial grade locks on the door after having tenants in prior to me purchasing the home.

Scheduling was not as smooth as it should have been. Coordinating with operator, owner, and eventually technician led to some wasted time and extended delay with getting service. In the end, it all worked out and I was very happy with the service. Had a new garage door system that came pre-installed with the house - but keypad wasn't working and neither was the sensor across the bottom that tells the system to stop descending and start ascending. Wound up performing a complete reset of the whole unit and re-programming everything. The technician was very patient and provided clear instructions on how to do it myself for the next time. Also, walked me through the steps of how to adjust the tension setting on the door. I've read reviews where people buy the $75 for $150 service and wind up paying more - but that wasn't the case here. If we ever have to replace this garage door, I'll call these folks first.

San arrived on morning, and moving on, prompt, care with work, polite and finished quickly.

Everything went fine, there was a little delay in the installer getting there because of traffic. We live in Woodbridge and I think the installer was coming from Maryland. (I'm writing this review 8 months later). Once the order was placed for the work I realized that I wanted the door to match the trim on our house when I called back about that I was told that they have to special order a color and it would then delay the appointment. I did go back out to the website and saw that it was extra for a different color guess I should have read the fine print closer upon placing the order. (I don't recall the exact price either.)

The process went very well. The new lock was re-keyed quickly and expertly. The piece lock solved the problem but is slightly different from the old lock. Keyed In is now seeking to make them the same.

I had a hard time getting a call back to schedule installation even after I left at least two requests on their online customer contact form. The response was to call the 800 number to schedule the installation. I left voice mails that were not returned until finally I reached a live person after several attempts. I had paid $799 upfront for the deal a couple months beforehand. The measuring appointment was in mid November. It went OK, but I had to push for quotes to be emailed to me for the additional cost to get the double door. Since it was getting close to Christmas and colder weather, I went ahead with scheduling the double door. The price was almost $700 more. The installation techs were on time, polite and professional. A couple weeks later, the door started malfunctioning (wouldn't close all the way, kept reversing itself when I tried to close it and finally wouldn't close at all). I called and requested a tech to come check it out and make any adjustments to fix it). The tech came in early January and made the adjustment but did not stick around to let me know what was causing the problem and what he did to correct it. I don't know if the company was just overwhelmed with orders from people who bought the Angies List deal or if this is how they usually do business. Overall I'm not sure if in the end it was such a good deal. Next time I'll do better research and get more estimates for any future large purchases.

As it turned out, my experience was not too well. They just had to take a sledge hammer and drill and I am still cleaning up the mess. Pretty much, they had to ruin the safe. I do not know if there would have been other options. We are still trying to get a key from the safe manufacturer for the lock towards the inside because they could not smash those. We got to try to get this thing out of the basement and it weighs a ton. I think the guy that came was nice, personable and everything else, but I do not think he has a whole lot of experience. He spent most of his time on the phone talking to other people at the company getting directions on what he should do. We were really expecting that they would be able to drill out the lock and open the door without taking a sledge hammer to it. He was clean, but he did not clean up the mess he left behind. So, it took me four-hours to clean all the things out of the carpet and everything. The inside of the safe door is sort of like concrete so I got concrete dust all over everything. They did come when they said they would be here. It was in the time range so that was good. I think that this guy should have been probably still good with it and with a more experienced locksmith than sending him out on his own.

The installers were knowledgeable about the product and the way to install the home surveillance system. They used the least intrusive methods of installing the wiring, set up the DVR. and used my small TV as a monitor. Because of problems with my virus software, they were unable to make a remote connection so that I could view the cameras from my laptop or tablet. They worked for several hours with the manufacturer and my carrier to make this happen. When it didn't work,they suggested how I could resolve the problem with my anti-virus provider. After this was done, the installer returned a few days later and was able to work through the problems with the manufacturer and provide a remote connection through my laptop.

They did the correct work but I felt there was such marketing employed that it turned me off. They kept trying to upsell me a lot. In terms of the work, they fixed what they were supposed to and it works fine right now. It was the same price but they said something else had to be done so it ended up being more. I think it was about $75 to $100 because some additional work had to be done beyond the original deal. They actually did a good job. Their responsiveness was fast and their punctuality was fine. As for their professionalism, there was too much marketing. The work they performed was fine but they used it as a platform to try to sell their products.

It went just fine. We paid more than the 59 dollars because we did need a repair. They were prompt, I was totally happy with it. We needed a couple of things done. I think they subtracted the amount that I got for what I had purchased.

Arrived on time, knew info. very well, gave suggestions, did job efficiently & well. Cleaned up.

I was faced with a same day emergency and the provider was very quick to respond in clear and positive manner I took care the the issue with an alternate solution, but I was happy with the prompt attention to my matter.

Estimates options were explained in person. Upon acceptance, work date was scheduled and work was completed as per the schedule.

I paid extra and it was very expensive too for the amount of time that it took him. It was about ten minutes. It was $100 or more. That's the part the I was unhappy with. I wouldn't use them again just because of the price.

They came out immediately , which was awesome because I had some concerns about security. The lock in the back continued to stick even after being replaced but they came right back as soon as I called to let them know. It was fixed and works perfectly now. The locksmith was professional and helpful. I did think they were very expensive for what was done.

I used Keyed In LLC because they were highly rated in Angie's List and many others in my local area had also used them, despite the fact that the provider was located in Washington, D.C. When I booked the service, the soonest I could be seen was four days after requesting an appointment. The technician was an hour late, but otherwise extremely knowledgeable and personable. I feel like he did a great job. He installed everything beautifully and cleaned up everything before leaving.
