Keyed In LLC

The service provider has not (yet) provided service. I found scheduling to be a challenge as the office initially told me they couldn't come out for a week. Then, changed their mind and said they could come the same weekend. Once scheduled, the technician was very professional. I felt like their prices were high, but I often feel that locksmiths are very expensive. Additionally, there was a lot of up selling that happened, even trying to sell me laser cut keys for a residence. All in all, I'm happy to use them but I will take their recommended products with a grain of salt and will only use them for difficult installations I cannot do myself.

From making the appointment to when they sent their quote, the whole experience was great. The tech came out, was friendly and personable, and did an excellent job of analyzing the security of our new house and answering our questions. They offered great insight where we should and should spend money and were prompt with their quote. Though we decided not to use them for the security system, we will definitely use and refer them for locksmith projects.

Keyed-in LLC contacted me within 24 hrs of buying the coupon to arrange an appointment date. They were able to come out 2 days later which worked well for me. They called the day before and about 1 hour before arriving which was well within the time period promised. So far, excellent response. The tech that arrived was Dan R. He was very polite and efficient. He was very informative about my garage door and very old door opener. Although everything was working, he did note that the system was comparatively noisy to newer units. He suggested replacement rollers and quoted me for those plus a replacement door opener motor and drive, all at my request. Dan explained everything to me and was quite pleasant to deal with. He tried to program an extra remote for us but our 1996 Craftsman door opener was too old to be compatible with his replacement part. In summary I would say Dan R. did an excellent job representing Keyed-In LLC, and was very professional throughout the entire visit. We believe we got our money's worth for the Tune-Up, and would recommend them. They get an A rating.

He called me the day after I made the Big Deal purchase and as we were discussing the work he ascertained that I was outside of his service area and he wouldn't be able to perform the work. He was very helpful and advised me to contact Angie's List in order to get a refund of the Big Deal purchase. Angie's List has since refunded the Big Deal.

The repairman was on time and did the repair in a timely fashion.

The service provided was excellent and the 2 men (Roy and Dan) were very knowledgeable and professional. I have nothing but good things to say about the service that was provided. Roy even keyed my car garage door opener for me which is something I was never able to do while following the owner's manual for my car. My garage door was getting very noisy and now it is much more quiet. They really know what they are doing. The keypad they installed works great as well!

It was easy to schedule and he came out quickly. The service was fine and he was a good guy to work with. The support for one of the rails had pulled out of the wall and he fixed the rails. It was well worth the price.

Very prompt and efficient. Everything works great a month or so later.

The locksmith's agent was Leo, he came on time, explained everything in details, answered all my questions. He did an awesome job installing my locks and everything works wonderfully.

I wasted 20 dollars and still have a broken lock on our front door.

He said the lock was an expensive one and that the entire assembly would need to be replaced, not repaired. He told me that there was no evidence there was a broken key stuck in the lock (as I'd self-diagnosed) . When I expressed surprise at the cost and asked if it was possible to replace it with a less expensive model, he said that would cost even more. I reluctantly wrote him a check for the full cost of the replacement, including labor - but only after I told him I was surprised to be asked to pay in full before the work was done. He said he would do some of the labor right then, and he worked on the lock for awhile. A couple of days later,, when I went to turn the lock, I found it to be working smoothly again. I texted the locksmith to advise him that the lock was fine, and I would prefer NOT to shell out $800 to fix a lock that was now working. He called immediately to say that because the lock was a special order, there was no way to cancel it (even though it would not arrive for another week). He said he'd oiled the lock, and that was why it was now working -- but that the problem would return. This confirmed my nervousness about writing that check in advance. If merely oiling it got it working, why am I paying $800 to replace it?

I really did not need a locksmith for the job; I needed another professional for doors. Unfortunately,while the locksmith knew what I needed, he proceeded to work on the door in order to collect the minimum fee, /afterwards, he told me that I really needed another type of contractor. I really felt that his actions lacked integrity.

Very polite and professional, and the locks all work well. Good communication before visit about timing. Punctual.

The door company employee arrived in the time slot provided, diagnosed problem, replaced springs and adjusted as needed. Works fine now.

They were prompt. I wanted a realtor's lock box for outside of my home. I asked him to bring one and they gave me an estimate for $70 for the box itself so I ended up purchasing one off amazon for $23.

These guys showed up on time and answered all of my questions thoroughly. They were very knowledgeable and very budget conscious. They even knocked the price down some to give me the safety I wanted at the price I needed. Extra compliments to their technician Leo who did a fantastic job making sure my family and I were taken care of.

The locksmith was okay; I thought it was a little pricey. The only savings was on the house call. He charged me $25 to rekey the lock, but then charged me $75 to take it out and put it back so the big deal only covered the drive out to my home.

The technician did not seem to understand locks very well. He suggested I get a new lock from Home Depot. He said he fixed the lock but it did not work when I went to try it so he had to work on it some more. The lock still does not work.
