Calling to make an appointment at 9:30 at night, I was surprised to get a voice instead of a machine. We set an appointment Thursday night for Saturday. Friday morning, they called to ask if I would prefer later Friday morning, which was great with me.. When Roy arrived promptly, we discussed my options and what I wanted to accomplish. He brought out three different lock choices at three different price points, and we discussed the benefits of each. There was no pressure to choose one type over another. When I chose, Roy set to work, removing the older locksets and installing the new, changing the tumblers to re-key three locks to one key. The work was done professionally and quickly, the clean up left no trace that any work had been done. From start to finish, this contractor was one of the best I have used in any type of work in my homes. They have a clear website, they are straight forward in providing information and pricing, and they do the job efficiently. Every question or concern that I had was answered. I received good value for the dollars I spent, and will call them again for any service they offer. I entrusted KeyedIn with personal security and property protection, my standards are high. They exceeded my expectations in every way.

This company practices and quot;bait and switchand quot; tactics. Do not use them. Technician arrived over an hour late and wanted to charge me a ridiculously large amount for rekeying 4 simple residential locks. When I hesitated, the technician lowered the price he wanted to charge. I balked and he lowered the proposed charge again. So much for the and quot;Big Dealand quot; I purchased from Angies List, which the Technician indicated covered the cost for him to come to my home. Run in the other direction when you see this company coming! If you let them do work for you, buyer beware. Why is Angies List still accepting and quot;Big Dealsand quot; from this business that has received so many extremely negative reviews?

I had just bought a new home and didn't have the keys to all the locks. Somehow, I managed to lock myself out of the house while exploring the yard with my son and my bulldog even though I had my keys with me. Since I had left my cell phone in the house, I drove to my mother-in-law's and found KeyedLLC on Angie's List. I called and they were there within an hour. First, their locksmith refused to open the glass storm door and insisted that we should open the back door with two locks. Since I had already bought new locks for the doors and had them inside, I accepted his alternative. Once he had opened the door, I showed him what I wanted installed, he wanted to sell me a new lock, but begrudgingly went ahead to install the ones I provided. Somehow, one of the locks broke. He insisted it wasn't his fault. I am not convinced. At this point, I have to buy a new lock from him. As it turns out, he does not have the kind I want, but he offers to bring it the next day. By then, it's been almost two hours and my two year old is not happy to put it mildly. Neither am I since I have a door without a lock (which wasn't so bad since we still hadn't moved in), an angry two year old, and a hungry bulldog. I accept his deal, give him a check, and we agree to meet the next day at 4pm. The next day, my mother-in-law goes to meet him at 4pm, but he doesn't show up until almost 7pm (we called him several times, sometimes he answered, others he didn't). He finished pass 8pm. Three weeks later, the company calls my mother-in-law to collect on my and quot;outstandingand quot; bill. I call them back and speak with someone to clarify since my bank shows that the check was posted 6 days after I tendered payment to the locksmith. A male employee tells me the company is having trouble with its accounting software. I thought all was resolved, but the next day I get another collection call. I repeat what I said the day before and email them a copy of the cancelled check. You would think that would be the end of it, but the next day the second employee emails me, instead of whoever she intended to email, stating and quot;This is from her bank.and quot; By then, I am beyond angry at this company and sent her the following reply: and quot;M'am- You sent this to me ([I'm omitting my name here]) not to whoever else you meant to send it to. Please stop contacting me, even if only by mistake. I have nothing good to say about your company and this is only making things worse. I really don't want to post a bad review on Angie's list, because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this is getting ridiculous. By the way, I never received a receipt and I was not extended the 15% discount your company offers to Angie's members even though I mentioned it when I called and then to [I'm omitting the locksmith's name out of courtesy]. Unless it is to send me a receipt or reimburse me for the discount I was not extended, please leave me alone.and quot;

Installer did a professional job. Very pleased with the results, price and timeliness.

They provided outstanding service. They were extremely responsive (arrived in 20 minutes as promised), extremely professional and extremely affordable. The technician, Leo, was professional, courteous and skilled. Would definitelyuse them again and recommend their service.

Woke up, looked up Angie's List found Keyed In, and decided to call them. We had just bought our house and wanted our locks changed. I spoke to an Person, no voice recording. I was scheduled the same day. a two hour window was given and the locksmith arrived within 30 minutes of that window. Very professional, straight to the point, I decided to upgrade the cylinder. He was done and on his way within 30 minutes. Yes I would call again!

I purchased this Big deal because I got locked out of my house. The company would not use it because they said it would have to be 24 hrs.

It went well and I am satisfied with the work.

Leo was great! A fun, unique and interesting personality and a consummate professional. Leo arrived promptly and was able to efficiently identify my needs and concerns, and present various security options at different price points. I was very pleased with the work performed, the customer interaction, and Keyed In's general responsiveness, and will call upon them when it comes time to upgrade.

He called and arrived about an hour early, which was fine. When he walked into the garage he immediately started saying, and quot;Oh, you need cables, and you need sensors and look at this, yeah, there is some separation here, you need new doors.......and quot; I immediately said that I was not in the market for new garage doors. I felt like I was getting shafted within minutes - or less! I then said just wanted to have the one door serviced as in the and quot;dealand quot; and how much for the other. I never did get to the other door, I just said forget it. There was a little tightening and spritzing, that was it. He did check to see what the issue was with the remote door opener in my car. It wasn't fixed, but at least I now know (I think) what the problem is. That said - I then asked him if he could make keys. He said that he could. I produced my house key that was stamped and quot;Do not duplicateand quot; due to an issue from many years ago. Clearly, it's my key to my house. First he thought he could make it, then called in and couldn't. Fine. We then discussed re-keying my locks. He said it would be $25 each. We walked through the house and counted the doors and the locks. So it was going to be $150. Then he said he might have to charge labor. So he called in and looked at his Ipad again and said it would be $540 to key the locks. To which I replied - forget it. Then he asked me how much I was willing to pay, what was my top amount, etc. to have them re-keyed. I told him I was willing to do the $150 but I didn't want them done at all. I have done several Angie's List Deals in the past and have always been very happy. This experience was awful. I feel like I flushed $59 down the toilet.

I called this company to get a price on programming a remote and cutting a key for my car. They couldn't give me an quote over the phone and told me they would have to come in person to give me an estimate. Does this mean I would have to be at home 2 times: one to price and one to do the job. Ridiculous and very unprofessional. I take this as a scam to sell me other security products for my home. They also couldn't give me whether they could come to give me estimate next day without all my information. I told them I'd give them a zip code, which should be good enough for an appointment. Nope! Not them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL. SCAM ARTISTS TO GET YOU TO BUY OTHER PRODUCTS UNNECESSARILY.
