We have been forced to work with this company due to our home warranty company's selection (2-10 home warranty). It has been three weeks and we still do not have air conditioning (in June) as a result of this company's lack of responsiveness and follow-through on our claim. And their technician has been extremely rude, even hanging up on us at times. Every time we call the home warranty company we are told that they cannot further process our claim because they need more information from this company. We will update this review once the issue is resolved, but for the time being we would HIGHLY recommend not using this company.
Description of Work: Diagnose air conditioning problem - lack of cooling.

A good portion of our frustration stemmed from the confusion of working through the home warranty company (HMS), and hearing (at times) conflicting things from KC and HMS. I think it was honestly a long and frustrating process for all of us, and while I didn't feel that KC was the most professional company, for the most part the guys I worked with were nice, did their best to work quickly through HMS's process, and performed quality work. They treated our property respectfully and cleaned up after themselves pretty thoroughly. They also correctly diagnosed the need to conduct chimney repairs/modifications to bring it up to code with the new boiler system. Despite this, I wouldn't work with them again (unless required by HMS) simply because we've had better service with Vito and I like to reward not just quality workmanship but professionalism and good business practice at well. But you could do worse.
Description of Work: KC was contracted by our home warranty company to install a new boiler for us. They also had to replace the pressure valve and install an expansion tank to comply with code for the new unit.

A/C broke on 6/2. Home warranty provider was called on 6/3 and selected this company to service the air conditioner for us - we did not choose the company ourselves. According to warranty provider, company is allowed 24-hrs to call me back, or I can call 4 hours after claim is filed with warranty provider. I started calling 5 hours after claim was filed. Subsequently, 5 calls to company in next 26 hours all provided same result: answering machine picked up; there was no company or business name provided. The machine only said "you have reached 301-877-9363. The mailbox at this number is full and can take no more messages." and then the phone hangs up. So either they're out of business or they're not interested in promoting their business on their answering machine and are not picking up their messages in a timely fashion.

Terrible. The appointment was for 9AM. I spoke with the dispatcher probably about ten times that day and the technician still had not arrived. The dispatcher did not answer the phone several times. He also hung up on me once. That went on all day.
Description of Work: KC was supposed to service our HVAC, clean the ducts, and diagnose some heating and cooling problems in the house.
