was contracted in June to finish by June 20. Lots of rain delayed a previous job so promised by July 4. Other customer "started adding things to what she wanted done" so our deck was pushed to July 15. A few things were done. I took pictures each day work was done and entered on computer by date so I can back up my statements. Some days he arrived at 9:00 or 9:30 and worked until 3:00. Two days he actually worked until 5:00. When he was delayed, we were never informed. We had to text him (15 texts in all -- still on my phone). Some days he came at 11 and left at 1:00. His work is EXCELLENT. His time management is not good. He always put our job on hold to do another 'addition' to the other job but, because there was more money involved with the other job, was unable to tell that person he had a job which would take a total of 4 days to finish. If we had not constantly contacted him, this may not have been done by the end of September. My wife was hoping to have it finished so she could enjoy it for the summer before returning to school. NOT. He came highly recommended by a friend. Yes, his work is excellent but he is not able to manage his time or maintain a schedule effectively. If I did recommend him for his work, it would come with with a warning about his scheduling problems. It seems he just takes on too much at one time and the job that represents the most profit means the smaller job gets pushed back. That is how we felt through this entire process. He said he would have finished sooner if we had not had gutters put on. He was supposed to do this as well but kept stalling so we had another contractor do this work (in only 6 hours and 20% less than Bob quoted) so he could proceed without further delay.....wrong... it took 10 days and two texts/calls to get him back here on a holiday weekend. Hopefully it will be done by Labor Day which is only two days away. Of course, our new front storm door is not here yet so hopefully he will get that today and include that in the completion process since it was part of the original contract. Bob does excellent work. The quality can't be questioned. It is excellent as long as you are not in a hurry. UPDATE> only 7 months since it was finished and the concrete step he put in is crumbling and falling apart. The deck is great but this step is very disappointing and we do not want to call him to fix it after what we went through last year.
Description of Work: built a deck to front of our home...8' x 16' wth rails and a new front storm door.
