I found them on Angie's List. The guy was outstanding. I didn't have the worst part. The best part was the guy knew what he was doing. He came here and he did everything I wanted. He did it very well in a good time frame and a reasonable price. I was very pleased with him. I have recommended him to other people. He came three times. After the first visit, I asked him to come back to do more.

On time, professional, work done on estimate. Would use again.

I called for an estimate for roof repair; he asked for more info., by voice mail, which I gave him, by voice mail, and he never returned my call afterwards. Can't seem to get this guy live, even thought he has a cell phone. Cannot rely on this guy.

My 100+ year old home has a rock-walled basement. At the top of the old stairs from the basement to the outside, long since covered over, a hole developed from old wood, crumbling mortar, and deteriorating insulation. A racoon made its way inside last winter and the basement was freezing. I usually tackle my own repairs and had an idea of what needed to be done, but this area was hard to get to, so I started calling for estimates. A couple other businesses came out and wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for all sorts of work-arounds that didn't guarantee the hole would actually be closed. Dave was the only one I talked to who had the same vision I did. And his price was amazingly reasonable. He basically wasn't afraid to get into the tight space to clean out the old materials, then stuff the hole with new insulation and nail up a new wood baffle. Problem solved. He was polite and professional. I will definitely call him again.

Very good service. He arrived on time and with a properly written estimate. The work was all very professional and the quality was top notch. He is a little pricey, $2K for 1.5 days work, but the value is represented in his work. I would hire him again. Be sure to use the Angie's List coupon, which I did not do....Could have save me a little.

Dave Thanks, Alberts Home Repair" Received same email several weeks later - still no call

It went very well. Dave Albert is very professional and polite; he did a very good job.

They have done all kinds of odd jobs. They are above a handyman and he is on time. I will continue to use them.

He was on time, very professional. He did additional work not called in before hand, good about adding in. Cleaned up after himself. Gave no pressure or sales pitch for future work, reliable and trustworthy.

It went exactly as reflected in the above grades. I plan to ask him to do some more work in the future. He is a competent, pleasant and professional person.The work was reasonably priced and efficiently done.

One of our garage doors was severely damaged. Dave and another worker came out and assessed the damage. They explained exactly what they need needed to do and continued to explain to me what they were doing with each step they took. When they were done, the garage looked as good as new. Friendly, professional service at a good price.

Albert did a terrific job, on very short notice. The railings are solid, and look great. I'm very pleased and will definitely call him again for future jobs.

We were able to contact them very easily and they got back to us soon as well. They were very reasonable. They did everything over the phone and we were able to email the pictures of what we needed. They were able to do everything remotely which actually worked out to our benefit.

He did a whole bunch of stuff. We had just moved in and he spent like two days with us, just doing like anything and everything around the house. He did a good job. My only complaint with him is that when I called after, he came and had to do something, he never returns phone calls. It's like impossible to get a hold of him. I tried emailing him and I never heard from him. He was really nice, it was just that I couldn't get in touch with him again.

They were very responsive to my emails but suggested I should find |additional work that needed to be done as I would have to pay for a |minimum of a half day if they came to my home and my project was not |that extensive.

He removed the old hinges. I had previously hired several different handymen (over many years) to repair the cabinet but it always sagged immediately and eventually fell off. Al gave the situation some creative thought and purchased entirely different hinges .The door now would support a gorilla hanging from it. The solution to the problem was creative and effective . I will definitely use Albert's again.

He was excellent and great. He was very affordable and knowledgeable. He was here every day on time and did exactly on the time frame he said he's going to do it. He does excellent job. He did it within budget and I'm going to use him again.

Unfortunately, timings didn't quite work out (due to me, not the provider) and so I ultimately didn't use them. But they got in touch with me promptly, which I did appreciate.

We own a rental property in CT and live out of state. Our insurance company insisted that we install exterior stairs to the second floor deck as a means of egress. Not knowing who to call I joined Angies list and selected Albert's home repair. We met, I explained what I needed, we discussed a plan, he gave an estimate in a few days. I agreed and signed a contract with him and he did the rest. He did an excellent job, on time and on budget. Some contractors would be a problem working with a customer out of state, but Dave kept me informed of what was going to happen and when. He even contacted my tenants and kept them informed of what was going to happen and when. That is above and beyond the call of duty in my book. We are very, very satisfied with his work and the way he operates. We would call him again without hesitation.

Dave Albert was wonderfully professional. I have a very busy work schedule and am often very difficult to get in touch with via phone. I had Dave go to our house and look at the job. He quoted me a price and notified him that I wished to move forward. He asked to meet at the house to be sure our expectations were on the same level. He completed the work in a timely fashion. He just really impressed me with his professionalism. He took the initiative to be sure we communicated clearly, provided and actual written estimate for the work & required a signed contract which even included an estimate of job completion date. Also, the quality of work exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone! Even have additional projects for him in the future.

The work was professionally done. I will hire him again.

It went very well. They arrived at the time stated and did a thorough job. The new sub floor looks very nice .My husband was here when they did the work and said that they even fixed a squeak in the floor that they noticed while they were working, even though that wasn't part of the original work order, because they said they didn't feel it was right to leave it that way. I would definitely hire them again.

The work on the doorframe and the replacement of the clapboard was done well. My big concern was the replacement of the window trim around the outside of the window. Because the other work was done well, I am reluctant to say anything too negative, but wanted to be perfectly honest since I rely on these reviews done by folks too. I may be somewhat at fault in that after the work was done, I did not go back to the window to look at the work. It will probably be fine once we repaint the replaced wood, but I was just assuming that the replacement wood around the window would be the same type, and each section would be a complete piece of wood, and not pieced. It appears that there are at least two different types of replacement wood. Hopefully it will hold up. The lesson I learned was to be sure to go back and inspect the work before writing out the check.
