I've never had a problem with them. I don't know of anything where they are lacking.
They come, fill the oil tank, and they contact me when it's time to service the furnace. They take care of the scheduling.

They were very responsive and came out when they said they would. We had very little down time on the propane usage and the leak was repaired immediately and with no issues.

"We have been in touch with Angie's list member since he purchased the home. Our account and service managers met with him to review the condition of the heating units and confirmed that tune-ups have been done. The main house was done 5/10/13. The cottage was less accessible due to the tenant's availability but we have been out to perform maintenance on this equipment also. Our Service Manager pointed out that the boiler in the pool room is in good condition and not cracked. However, the boiler has a cracked combustion chamber due to age and wear and tear and needs to be repaired. This is a common, minor repair. While there, our Service Manager quoted the member a price to repair. The air handler blower wheel was out of balance and needs to be replaced. Again, the age of this is estimated to be around 30 years old and subject to wear and tear over time. The oil tank failed and leaked. This was not due to negligence by Gault but also due to the advanced age of the equipment. The necessary environmental departments were notified and clean-up and testing were done March 2013. As stated above, minor repairs are needed due to the age of the equipment. We have not asked the member to pay for any service that had not been done with the former owners Gault had a long-standing relationship with the previous owners and provided them with excellent service over the years. We request that the member contact our Service Manager if he would like to discuss repair options further."

Gault Sales person John Button came to our house in June 2013 to inspect our old A/C unit and recommend a course of action. They proposed replacement of our current defective unit with a new condenser and air handling unit as well as all other wiring etc.- shortly thereafter he submitted a detailed estimate which was competitive. He expalined to me in detail what he would do and also discussed alternatives with me.
I had to follow up with them a bit to schedule an appointment. A date for installation was finally agreed upon for mid July 2013. Their staff came in promptly on the date/time agreed upon. They were professional, well mannered and knowledgeable and finished the installation within one day as scheduled. Had to make a post service call as there seemed to be a minor problem with a thermostat but they came in promptly to correct.
Overall I was impressed with this company and would recommend them to other homeowners.

They were excellent. They kept me informed about what was happening. The initial detailed estimate was incredibly accurate. I was actually surprised, I thought it was going to be more expensive. Before they performed any work, they clearly talk me through exactly what they were going to do. And it was all done in a very timely fashion. All was very good in terms of scheduling appointments for both pre- and post-service and customer service was excellent. They were very knowledgeable about the product and were able to answer all my questions. So overall I'm pretty impressed.

I am doing a conversion to natural gas for the whole house. So I am getting rid of my propane and fuel suppliers because it is expensive. In two days, I am going to be disconnecting and tell them to come get their tank and thank them for their service but I do not need them anymore. They do fuel oil and propane. I am getting away from that. They are good guys. I got a good price from them. They were responsive and they came on their own delivery schedule. I never not had fuel. They were very professional. They are local guys. I would use them again if I had too.

We needed to replace an aging heating system, and Gault was highly professional and knowledgeable in discussing our options with us. Once the decision was made, the installation was scheduled in very short order. There were a couple of technical problems after the installation was done, but Gault was very responsive in sending a technician to check out the problems and solve them.

Work was done in 2 days, including hauling the old boiler. Very professional installation with no unpleasant last minute surprises. Our oil consumption is 1/3 of what it used to be with the old boiler.

I really trust the company. They have done some work for us in the past and they have always been very honest. Last year our hot water tank went out and it leaked all over the basement. They were able to get a new hot water heater installed that same day. Their technician worked late so that I didn't have to go without hot water in the house because I have a small child. They're not the cheapest out there but they get an A+ for responsiveness. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest them to anyone. They go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need; if you don't they are going to make it right.

The person who they did send had zero knowledge of what I was asking him to do, claimed that he was not capable of the things I was asking of him and initially refused to go up into the attic to even LOOK at the unit until we insisted. I got on the phone with his manager who continued to assure me that the technician was capable of doing all the things I had mentioned; the manager had to continue to call his technician who basically balked every step of the way. The technician had a wide eyed look and seemed to be completely out of his element. Long story short, I wasted a lot of my time and my agent's time and very little was accomplished. On the bright side, the company did not contact me afterwards to charge for the visit - I suspect they realized that the visit was a complete disaster.
The company called me to apologize for the mistake and explained that they don't usually do the service I was requesting. I give them a lot of credit for admitting the error and thus find that overall, they are a responsible organization that just made a mistake.

They were great. They were prompt, courteous and knew what to do. They came quickly and fixed it and I haven't had any problems since. The charged a reasonable price. They made a mistake with the billing but took care of it immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again in the future.

Service was reliable but the fuel was much more expensive than at my other house which is served by a different dealer. Their office people are difficult to deal with. Could not get them to even change the billing to the proper address. They never did set up the account on direct debit in spite of multiple requests. Eventually, I gave up asking. When we sold the house, we had difficulty getting them to do a tank reading. They gave the lawyers the wong information and almost held up our closing over a small balance they claimed they were owed but which had been paid.

"Our company apologizes to the member for any inconvenience or challenges he experienced. Our records indicate that on 1/5/11 we were advised that the homeowner we were deliverying to passed away and we did change the billing address to 132 Peaceable Hill Rd per the caller's request. We did mail two direct debit authorization forms in January 2011, but did not receive back the information required to submit for direct debit. We did a final reading on the home and, as normal practice, notified the attorney of measurement and the balance on account that day. Unfortunately, the check for the outstanding balance did not arrive in our office before the closing information was sent. The check arrived and was posted the following day. Gault Energy is a company that offers fair and competitive rates on all of our energy needs. Prices from one company to another can vary on any given day depending on when a company needs to replenish their oil supply. Gault Energy has a reputation for providing excellent customer service. We encourage members to read the other reports posted on the site from Angie's list members as they validate our high ratings."

They are heating oil suppliers and we got the service we wanted. They kept the tank full and I don't have anything specifically negative to say about them. I got a statement from the company a couple of days later. They are a little spendy.

They were fine. There was absolutely no problem. They were quick and came on time. I think the price was fine but I am not familiar with the price. I think it is the going rate in our area.

During the multi day 100 degree record heatwave that impacted the east cost, one air conditioning condensor broke. I contacted Gault and was able to get someone out ot my house the next day despite incredible demand from others with similar problems. The fix was quick and professional. I use Gualt as my heating oil provider, which is their primary business and I imagine this to be a prequesite for expiditious non-heating repairs. I would highly reccommend Gault for heating oil delivery...just be sure to be armed with competitor quotes if you plan on locking in a rate. I find that is the only way to get a competitve rate from any small per unit margin on high volume buisness.

The company was prompt and easy to deal with. Their pricing is competitive, but they are not the cheapest options out there. Service is excellent.
