Description of Work: Eileen is wonderful. There was no pressure. They were very professional & trustworthy, did a great job on time as promised. After they installed one of my windows they noticed an issue that I never saw. They let me know about it & let me know they would order a new window & re-install it for free. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Paul and his crew replaced a picture window with three double hung windows. Professional, prompt, courteous - excellent service and product. I can't think of enough superlatives to praise Paul and his work.

This company will support the customer from teaching how to do it yourself through town Adult Ed seminar to installing everything for the cutomer. They are sensitive to budget constraints, like installing a few windows at a time. I did some prep work; all the curtains, window shades were removed, cleared away everything in front of the window, etc. Eileen, a partner, promised they would be here by 7:30 and they were! Work began at 8:00 am sharp with an hour for lunch. There was excellent teamwork & communication between the four workers. They put the shades and curtains back up before leaving. They were done and cleaned up by 5:00 pm. Amazing! The subcontractor returned a few days later, we agreed to a date & time, to seal each window. That took about 8 hrs. and can be done without the customer being home.
Description of Work: I replaced 8 wooden double hung windows, 1 triple pane casement and a sliding glass door with white aluminum energy efficient windows. This qualified for tax energy credit. Price includes windows, supplies, labor, wrapping and removal. Eileen gave an in home demo, helped chose color, screen size [full window or bottom half], etc. 30% deposit required prior to ordering windows and as promised, it took three weeks for the windows to be delivered to my home. The wrapping, sealing the outside of each window against the elements, is paid seperately to a subcontractor. The subcontractor installed the sliding glass door with the rest of the team. I chose to get the building permit, however they can do that for an extra $100.

I had gone to several "big name" companies, and even had a deal in place with one manufacturer based in Iowa. Unfortunately, plans fell through after we found out the local branch had received a lot of negative feedback, and the Massachusetts store wouldn't work with us because they were too far away. I looked into taking a course on window repair through Farmington Continuing Education, and that's where I met Paul and Steve. Paul was actually willing to help handy homeowners install their own windows - only charging for a few, and helping supervise the entire job. Steve initially came out to measure all the windows and check out the general bones. Then Paul emailed me an estimate, came back out to the house to re-check all the measurements and work with me on the price. He walked every room on the inside, and walked all around the outside to see the existing structure and figure out what was best. Paul even considered what issues we might run into having a security system, and nodes in our current window sills. Harvey was offering a $500 rebate, and Paul took $1000 off the price. After all - we were buying 31 new windows al at once, something people don't normally do!! The installation took only two full days - for 31 windows! The job wasn't hired out to subcontractors - we had Paul, his sister, and Steve there doing all the work. It was freezing cold when they did the install but they worked quickly and we had no problems. They easily removed the quarter round molding from the existing windows and reused it. Overall we were very pleased - we would definitely use them again (although we don't have any more windows to replace now!!)
Description of Work: We had 31 windows replaced in our 1971 home - mostly double hungs, but some were picture windows or bay windows. We also had four basement windows replaced, the casement type that are built into the home's foundation. Previously, our home had wood windows that were leaking air - you could put your hand up to the window and feel a breeze

Excellent in all respects. Paul came for both the initial estimate (with samples), and returned when I had followup questions. The windows were installed on schedule, exactly as per the contract. The whole team was very efficient. A very thorough job; the workmanship was well insulated. The resultant installation very functional. They were very tidy; no cleanup on our part was necessary. The whole job, including what I thought would be a rather challenging bay window custom install, was done in just two days. We're very pleased with both the process and the outcome.
Description of Work: Replaced 19 double hung windows, including custom work on a bay window.
