Response from Superior Home Services
SHS Inc. has been doing work in Fairfield & Westchester Counties for the past 25 years. This is the first time a client accuses us of lying. It is deeply insulting to me personally and it calls to question the integrity of the company. First some facts: We have received from Angie's List to provide 16 hrs. of labor, paid by the member. It did not specify as to 8 hrs initial & 2 follow-up visits. Subsequently member's wife called to confirm the date, time, and specific requests. She also requested from us to clean windows which was not included in the original work order. On our part we asked for her or her husband to meet us at the start of the project. When my team arrived at the agreed upon time & date no one showed up. I called her and she promised that her husband will be there by noon. In addition the house was full of contractors still working, making our work extremely difficult. Still my crew managed under difficult conditions to do the work. We even did the windows as gesture of good will, although it made the project costly for us since we put in a total of 21 labor hours. We worked until 1:30pm and then left without meeting either the member or his wife. At 6:00pm we received an angry message asking of our whereabouts and that there was still unfinished work left in the house. I returned the call and spoke with the member's wife. She admitted that contractors were late with the work they were suppose to finish before our arrival and she understand that contractors probably created some more dust after we left. I offered to help with the situation despite being in the red on the project. At no time whatsoever did I raise my voice with her. Later on in the week I received a call from the member demanding additional service at no cost and refusing to discuss the matter claiming to be very busy. We always provide our customers with 100% effort. Being insulted in return is unacceptable.
