My only concern was change in start date; it happens but lowered my rate to 4.5. The on-site crew arrived early, went right to work, finished early and left the site clean as a whistle. On their own, they re-graded the old surface such that it is level throughout. I recommend them and found their pricing competitive.

Jose and his team repaired the driveway and installed a drainage underground pipe in the front of house on Sep 27, 2017. I wrote a nice review in October last year, and edited my review a few months later due to two issues we had. As of today, one of the issues - water leak in the basement is resolved. It seems the leak was caused by by the original grass/plants were removed and new ones are not fully grow up after the work was done. Now all the plants on the top of the soil are well grown up, and no more basement leak so far. I apology for the misunderstanding. The other issue (there is a couple cracks along the driveway edge to the street) remains to be fixed, and I was told by JLPavers that they will come to fix it in the spring time.

Jose is a consummate professional. He and his entire crew and staff are nothing but professional. Fro performing excellent work at a reasonable price, to escorting an elderly lady to her door in the middle of the job. Yes that really happened !! Will recommend to all that ask.

Jose DeFreitas and his 6 crew members did an excellent job for less money than 5 other competitors that bid. I picked him because of his many positive reviews, low price and friendly professionalism. I watched the entire project. He is honest, polite, fair and very knowledge about his trade...and hard working. He completely tore out and hauled away my old cracked asphalt 2600 s.f. driveway, installed, racked, leveled and rolled/compacted new base stone, with a new curb/apron cut. He then hand applied, racked, leveled and rolled/compacted 3" of new hot asphalt. The end product looks great and I know it was properly installed. The crew works neat and are very polite. The entire job was complete and cleaned up in 6 hours as Jose has the proper heavy duty machines and equipment and multiple trucks, as well as his total on site supervision and doing most of the very skilled labor himself. I highly recommend Jlpavers! 3 of my neighbors are also going to use him.

Jose redid my driveway and created a beautiful patio for me in the back of my house. He was very friendly and very professional. He was also on site for a good portion of the job. He completely tore out my whole driveway and re-paved it with a beautiful border. The patio also came out great and is a nice entertainment area for my guests. I have gotten plenty of compliments on the job and I even recommended Jose to my dad. He did a great job at my dads house as well! Thanks Jose!

I had a unique job to install a drain at the foot of my garage door. I also supplied part of the materials as a family friend attempted to do the job and backed out. JL came in and installed it very nicely and super quick. Very happy with the outcome.

To my surprise, this job did not take all day. The men (about 5 or 6) were here for 3 hours. Our new driveway looks great, and has received compliments from our neighbors.

They showed up and did a very fast professional job. Jose really knows how to work the equipment. Two and a half hours later we had a nice new driveway.
