General speaking, the company did a good job overall. if it is not because of the following issue, I would give this company a higher score: Jose gave me a quote onsite and added $200 to the final contract, didn't notice that until very late and missed the chance to hire other company which give me a better quote.

We did our driveway paving work last Summer. They ruined our asphalt and never fixed although there are 2 years warranty provided by them. In a couple of weeks of their work, the driveway turned to look bad which never happened before. So, we contacted them for check up. Despite of making a few calls and emailing, we finally got sealed the asphalt. They promised that once it was sealed, the problem would not happen again. However, same problem appeared back soon within a week. Since then, they kept ignoring our calls and in a couple of weeks, Home advisor customer service helped us receiving their call. Despite of our request for checking the issue, they kept postponing till this Spring. Finally they came to see saying that they would not repair properly except sealing which did not work last time. They also gave us a fake information of a house with a driveway problem by saying that the house has same problem as ours. We tried to visit and talk to the home owner regarding the issue. But, the address JL paver gave us was wrong. I wanted to give No star for rating, but 0.5 point is minimum I could mark. No recommend!

Jose thought of everything including the gradation on the driveway so that the rain would run off properly to the area where we had a drain. Beautifully done. Thank you!

Great price, great service.

The workmen showed up when they said they would; immediately went to work. Very professional with string line, level to make sure the job was done properly. Had the mechanized equipment required for proper compaction. . Materials arrived just in time; asphalt arrived just in time. Entire job completed in one day. Workers very courteous, cleaned up. No issues whatsoever.

They did not stick to the schedule. They did not complete the job when they said they would...a day late. It was a small job and I felt they were giving me the run around.

They came by the night I called and gave us an estimate by the next morning. They were in contact throughout the entire project and did a fantastic job. I recommended them to many of my friends.

Our driveway no longer floods when it rains after their paving. In order to drain excess water, they cleverly put a hole in one of the Belgium blocks that line the driveway. Their price is inexpensive compared to 3 others I got estimates for. I would definitely recommend them.

JL Pavers was very professional and responsive, and provided a good quality finished product. However, they did not place the asphalt as per the Agreement. They were required to place a 2-inch thick asphalt layer at locations where the existing asphalt was in relatively good condition and two layers, 2-inch thick each, where the existing asphalt pavement needed to be removed. They placed the asphalt in thinner layers, approx. 1.5-inch thick each. Although the finished product looks good, I believe, durability is compromised. I recommend that when an agreement is signed with JL Pavers, they agree on the quantity of asphalt to be placed, preferably in number of Tons for a given thickness.
