A-1 Landscaping

Excellent.

The owner, Frank, was very professional, prompt and reliable. He was respectful to me and my neighbors (condo). I had no choice but to keep the concrete patio already in place but wanted to enlarge it. Frank did a great job with what he had to work with and even made a terrific suggestion to cover the old, ugly concrete!

yI had hired A-1 Landscaping last fall to replace the front walkway and to put in a back walkway. His work was excellent and prices reasonable (compared to two other estimates I obtained) so I hired him again. After living with the back walkway for a winter, I decided I needed an extra step because the slope was dangerous when it was icy. He added another step along with a retaining wall. He also replaced the concrete patio with the same pavers as the walkways. He covered up the existing concrete front steps with stone. Everything looks amazing, but especially the front steps. I wish I could post pictures. I believe he has some on his site. I highly recommend A-1 Landscaping. Frank does all the work himself. He is professional, reliable, and does an excellent job. I was amazed at how quickly he got the job done.

Frank is very professional and attentive. The patio turned out even better than we had imagined. Many people walking by in our neighborhood make positive remarks about our patio. Our next door neighbor liked our patio so much that they ended up firing the person that was doing their patio (who was doing a horrible job) and hiring A-1 Landscaping to re-do their patio. We even had a huge rain storm wash away most of our grass seed and Frank offered to put some seed for us. He is a class act. The only reason I gave him good on the price was that I am pretty cheap and the price could always be a bit cheaper for me. I would say that we got a lot of bang for our buck. A-1 was pretty close to most of the other bids I got, too.

Beautiful, I get many compliments. He was on time, completed the job, left the property clean and landscaped the areas that needed work.

I am very pleased with the responsiveness of A-1 in giving me an estimate, including being honest and not trying to oversell me on what was necessary and what wasn't, and in the courtesy and promptness of communications in terms of scheduling the work. All work was performed well and on time by the owner and his son. I expressed some concern after day one about alignment and sightlines and he was both polite and responsive to my concerns. I am very happy with the work as performed, and eager to see how it settles after a year or so. (Things often look great when they are new, but depending on the way they were done won't necessarily hold up over time.) A-1 was a pleasure to work with, especially in comparison to some of my previous experiences in seeking estimates and having contractors try to steamroll me into thinking I had to have all new materials and a much larger job than I wanted! A-1 was very respectful to me as a woman client and did what I asked without being patronizing.

At my request, Frank Pascale came to see the area in need of attention. After discussing the pros and cons of various options for the space between house and garage, we decided to install a blue stone patio. Frank shopped around for the blue stone in order to get the best price. Over the next few days, he worked quickly and efficiently to dig out the area, install the base layers of crushed stone and finally, the blue stone. Each day, he cleaned up the work area before leaving. His work transformed the area. It is evident that he pays attention to detail and does not cut corners. We were very satisfied with the entire experience.
