Packing went very well and nothing they packed was damaged in the move. They did significant damage to the house they moved us out of. I managed to repair some of the damage myself but some had to be contracted out. At load time they took extensive notes of existing damage to furniture. Upon inspection after they had unloaded the truck we found they had damaged 12 pieces of furniture varying from small dings to major gouges and broken legs. They also wrapped plastic around five plastic drawer sets tightly enough that they arrived bent and broken. They refused to cover the full cost to repair the damage to many of our pieces of furniture. They claimed some damage was pre-existing even though the bill of lading indicated that there was no previous damage. The claim process was arduous and took much to long. We had to argue our case multiple times and it took over 5 months to get the final claim check.
Description of Work: They provided packing for breakables and heavy items, furniture, etc. Loaded their truck, drove to our new home and unloaded into the new home.

Description of Work: Moved us from Ma to SC Picked up furnishings on 7/22 a day two days before scheduled date and delivered 8/6 three days after last promised delivery date. Cause driver quit and no driver available to bring shipment from New England. We were not advised of the situation until 7/30 the date the shipment was to be unloaded. This resulted in our having to stay in a hotel 6 days. Compensation was given that was based on what were told was a "military policy" of allowing 10% of the shipment weight, $90/day in this case. The mover's claim agent calculated we should receive $180 for this inconvenience... We provided receipts showing for the three "late days" our expenses were almost $400. Why a military policy for a non military move? Who knows? Claims for damages and this item were filed the end of Sept. It took the next three months to get agreement for us to accept what was a "take our offer or go to arbitration (with a filing cost of $250)". The total claim was less than $800 and the points of disagreement were about $200. Needless to say arbitration made no sense. Communication with the ownership was sought and totally ignored until our Ma local mover called the owner. This resulted in a $90 increase in the claim settlement. Exhausted with this whole situation spanning months we agreed to the amount. Would you believe it was almost 3 weeks before a check was sent and that only after several phone calls.
