Advance Plumbing & Heating Inc - Newington

I am sure the toilet works well; however, I could have bought an entirely new toilet for the price of this repair. Not quite sure why it was so expensive.

I appreciate that Advanced plumbing sends the same service man, when possible, so there is continuity in service. Both services- fixing the faucet and replacing the toilet- were done in a timely, neat and professional manor. I knew the price in advance of the service. I also called Mike, the owner, when I had some questions about a water heater and he gave me excellent information. I recommend this company very highly, and I do not do that for many service providers. They really care about their customers.

Very polite and responsive on the phone. Mike (owner) went out of his way to come by ASAP to help us find out why we were wet and quickly found that our water heater was dripping. The next day, a technician (Sal) arrived with a new water heater. He drained and removed the old one and then put the new one in including a drip tray and leak detector. Unfortunately, the new water heater was about a foot shorter than the old one (same gallon size) so the wiring for the older one didn't quite reach the new one. Sal called an electrician who agreed to come the same day. Sal finished the job and refilled the water heater, cleaned up and left (around 11am) The electrician arrived around 1:30pm and did the wiring and we're back in action. Only minor nit is that my wallet hurts - the whole thing was about $1500. No chance to compare prices, however, since this was an emergency event and speed was a factor. We will definitely call Advance again.

Plumbing company was responsive and timely. They let me know when the plumber would show up and he did. He was very professional throughout. The price was a fixed price for opening up the wall to find a leak. The problem was he spent 6 hours and couldn't find the source of the leak. Then he left with walls opened in three separate rooms and I was no closer to a solution than before he started, and even worse off because the walls were open in several places.

Technician was prompt, did all the week that was quoted in the original estimate. No additional costs or charges.

They were a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

It went well. The project was competed in a timely fashion and they cleaned up after the project was completed.

outside shut off valve was leaking. tried to shut off water from inside valve, that valve also was not working. called advance plumbing that morning and was told someone would be out here by afternoon. they kept their word. by 2:00 pm,plumber arrived and within two hours replaced two valves. worked clean and professionally. would certainly use them again.

I couldn't be happier with the work done by Mike and his team at Advanced Heating & Plumbing. We had had practically no hot water and terrible water pressure for years and had numerous other plumbers out to "fix" the problem, but none of them had been successful. Mike came out and systematically tested all of our plumbing issues and problem solved our hot water issue wonderfully! I now have unlimited hot water and amazing water pressure!! Additionally, his team found a faulty well pump issue that was causing me hundreds of extra dollars every month in electric bills. I would highly recommend Mike and his team and have used them three times since originally contacting them!

Plumber showed up on time. Took 13/4 hours longer than originally estimated., but did excellent work. Cleaned up so that premises were spotless. Cost was more than estimated by landscape architect who requested the job (but he was not a plumber). All in all a very good job.

After a late start due to an emergency for another customer all went very well. Kris had done work at my house previously and he is courteous and doesn't mind me asking questions to understand what the process was going to be and watching him work so I could get a better understanding of the work being done. Kris had a very clear plan of what he was going to do in my basement and filled me in along the way. Since my husband has past and I am now making the decisions and having to understand any work being done it was nice to know that I was not being treated as a bother, but rather a paying customer wanting to understand what was going to be done. Kris worked very diligently to complete this work and cleaned up as he went along and at the very end of the installation. He was here for about 6hrs and did a splendid job in both installation and explanation. Advance Plumbing is a top notch outfit willing to help with any of your plumbing issues and they are quick to respond. I will be using them again in the future.

It was excellent. He came within hours on the day before a holiday and had the job done within hours. Very grateful. He was friendly and professional.

plummer suggested repairing both outside faucets at double the price .He appeared to be more of a salesman than a technician and a bit to "chatty" for my taste.

Very well! They gave estimate, picked up, delivered and installed.

They fixed the problem. One thing I did not like was they did not have the service to patch the wall back up I had to hire someone else to do that.

I called Advance plumbing on a Wednesday morning as my tub would not drain. They could not come out that day but could be out Thursday between noon and 2. I was told in the past by another plumber my tub had a "drum" trap that was made out of lead as was the pipe that tied it into the four inch cast iron pipe. The drum trap had a clean out but I figured if I tried it and broke it I'd be completely without a tub so I figured I'd let the pro's fix it; at least if they broke it they would know how to fix it. Anyway, a plumber named Kris came out around 1:30. He was a very nice man and seemed very knowledgeable about plumbing. He was also very eager to share his knowledge with me which I like as any tips I can get to hopefully perform some simple repairs in the future and save money is always appreciated. He said he would clean the trap and snake the pipe as long as he could get the clean out apart. Luckily he was able to and did the job. He was very professional and knowledgeable and did a good job. He cleaned up so it looked like he was never there when he was finished. The price of $220.00 seemed a little high for the job but I understand how it is to be a contractor as I used to be one and they were a bit cheaper than the last plumber I hired.

The plumber was very prompt in returning our call. He returned our call within 10 minutes after we left a message! He came out the next day to fix the problem. We were pleased with the work that was done, and especially pleased with the timely response.

terrible, guy said he can't do compression fittings, wanted to replace 10' of perfectly good piping and was outrageous in his price of $1150. Bond plumbing did it for $450

The old unit was removed and a new gas boiler installed in the same day. The workers kept the area neat and clean. The boiler install with it's associated plumbing appeared to be done in a professional manner. It was installed on a very hot day and I guess we won't know how well it works until the cold weather arrives! The owner of the company kept close oversight during the day and wanted to make sure that I was a happy customer.

It went very well. Jeff was extremely professional and helpful. He was punctual, too, in fact he was able to get here earlier than expected, but called first to make sure we would be here. Overall an excellent experience with this company.

Overall - we are very happy with our new water heater - we are seeing a 20% reduction in our electric consumption! Mike - the sales guy was friendly and professional. We he came out to the house - he brought the AO Smith rep to talk about their system and help size the water heater. This wasn't a normal practice - but he was in the area and Mike brought him along for the initial visit. It did take a bit longer than I had anticipated to receive the quote ($4500) and it included a water sensor that was unexpected. The water sensor is a device that sits in the pan and if the system leaks or is purged, it has automatic shut off valve that prevent water from leaking in the basement. A great feature and recommended (if you don't mind paying the extra money for it). Once we agreed to the proposal, they dropped off the water heater in two weeks. We did have some challenges of getting the install started due to schedules and vacations - but we finally agreed to a day to have them do the install. The install took the entire day as they moved the water heater position in the basement to a better location and they needed to vent it outside. I paid for everything at the end of the install. The next day - I called because I wasn't getting enough hot water - it was sorta hot - but not HOT. They said there was a valve on the top of the water heater that I could adjust - which I did - but it was broken. I called back again, they were aware that the valve was broken and were planning on coming the following day to replace. (why they didn't tell me that before they left the install is beyond me). They replaced the valve - and the water was HOT - and everything worked great for about 2-3 weeks. Then we lost hot water. I went down to make sure everything was OK - and the water sensor had gone off because water had purged into the pan. I reset, soaked up the water, and it happened two more times. I called their service department on the weekend - and didn't get a call back. I called the sales guy 4 hours later and he returned my call in 20 minutes. Long story short - there was nothing wrong with the water heater- it was doing exactly what it was suppose to do. However, for some reason, the water pressure into the house had increased to 150 - over 2x times what it should be. When you have high water pressure and you are heat it the pressure will increase further and the water heater is designed to vent that extra pressure so it doesn't explode. Everything worked as it was suppose to. This is why didn't score them the highest on quality as I feel this is a test they should have performed before doing anything. It was a 20 second test and was very easy to complete. I also deducted for them not telling me about the broken valve before they left. It was great that they already had the part ordered and had scheduled a time to install - but they should have told me this so I wouldn't have called it in. Overall - the techs were great and was very knowledgable. They walked me thru everything which provided me a great understanding of what was going on in the system. Unfortunately, it was necessary to spend another $850 to fix the pressure (added an expansion tank and an adjustable valve which they only charged me their cost ($450 total) as they felt they should have caught this during the installation. I was pleased with their professionalism and the fact they cleaned up their mess (even wore booties when they were in the house). I would use them again - and their pricing is much more reasonable than Avon Plumbing.

Technician Chris was fantastic. Very professional, my dog loved him !! Went to least expensive fix first, with this economy thats very much appreciated. Thought we needed new garbage disposal, but didn't. Will deffinately use this company again. Thankyou

The tech (SAL) was great! He was very professional and efficient. He did want me to be a happy customer. The pricing structure was confusing--but, in the end, the job was finished in a couple of hours.

Response time from initial call to visit was very good. The only thing I could say wasn't perfect about the experience was that the workman was as few minutes late on the morning the job was done. Just as I started to wonder about him- there he was. So all in all this was minor. He worked efficiently and quickly. I am an older woman and being able to converse with a service person and not feel belittled is important. All interactions with these gentlemen were respectful, pleasant and professional.
