A few days after I called him, Paul came to my house and gave me a price for the job. I was immediately was impressed by his professionalism. I accepted his bid and we set up a schedule for the work. Every appointment was met as scheduled. There was never a mess left behind. A call prior to their arrival was always made. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

Both chimneys were very dirty. Paul was extremely careful, neat and professional. We were having a new heating system installed on short notice. Paul adjusted his schedule to accomodate our installation requirements.

Punctual, professional, well-trained technicians who did a thorough job and left no soot traces behind. I have used this company for several years. I have them inspect our chimneys each year and (can you believe it?), they actually tell me when the chimney does not need cleaning. In other words, the techs drive over, do the inspection, find the system clean and charge me nothing. In past years, I had them install a new top-sealing damper/chimney cap and when this 50+ year old chimney started spalling, creating a water leak in the room below, I had them do a partial rebuild of the chimney. The house in question belongs to my aunt who is in her 90's. Paul was sensitive to that and offered me some less expensive options that would resolve the problem on a shorter term basis. Tho I ultimately decided to go with the rebuild, I really appreciate a company that respects the customer's situation and tries to work with you to find the best solution. Bottom line -- this company may not be the lowest price around but you can count on their honesty, high quality service, and exceptional professionalism. I can also mention that I shop around for the best oil price each year so have used a number of oil delivery companies. When those companies do the system annual tune-up and their techs see the sticker that shows we use Paul's for chimney inspection/cleaning, they've often commented that Paul's does quality work.

He is good. His professionalism, service and cleanup were very good. With regard to price, I don’t know. I had other people come, but they weren't that knowledgeable. So I really can't compare him to other people. His quality is good. He is coming back to do more work for me.

Called for a quote to have chimney cap repaired. Talked to someone in office that said they'd send someone to see the job and give an estimate. Called after not hearing from them for two weeks and the same person in the office answered said she remembered me calling, but they hadn't sent anyone yet because they thought my neighbor may call for some service.

Cleaning services were acceptable. Engaging the company top actually complete the repairs were frustrating and unsuccessful. The company was unresponsive and did not return multiple phone calls. Rather than being helpful on questions related to necessary permits, etc. or we received the run around and decided to not to proceed.

Paul & his associate arrived on-time and explained in detail the job they were performing. After completion, they reviewed the entire process. Would definitely use them again; call early for dryer vent cleaning.

Great visit. Explained details of the work they would be doing prior to beginning. Efficient and friendly. Cleaned area afterwards.

They shoveled approximately 8" of soot and cleaned up extremely well. They provided an estimate immediately. They were great with my son and my dog. They were professional and friendly. They explained what was necessary and what I could put off for later. They also provided referrals on companies for other projects for my home.

Overall my experience was positive, Paul provided abundant educational information regarding chimney work and was very thorough and detailed in his approach. Its obvious that he takes his job seriously. I have only two issues - first the time between our agreeing to have the job done and the actual job getting down was extensive - at least a month. I nearly forgot that I engaged his services, but I recognize that the winter weather might have made it hard to schedule our work, however, it probably would have been nice to get a reminder phone call. The other concern was a bit of unprofessional work on the final day of the job. We didn't get an advance phone call or even knock at the door to announce that a workman was coming over. My wife was at home and tried to leave the house, only to find one of Paul's worker's cars in our driveway, blocking her exit from the garage. The worker was MIA, the car wasn't marked with any logo, and we nearly called the police, not knowing who the car belonged to. Paul addressed this issue promptly (with both us and his employee) which I appreciate but honestly it was a bit shocking that such a well respected company could have such a service gaffe.

As stated, I have 2 chimneys and wanted them cleaned for safety. The men who came checked out the upstairs chimney and were honest enough to say it was clean, just a few cobwebs, and I didn't have to pay to clean it. I was thankful for their honesty ( we haven't used that living room fireplace in over 5 years, since the last cleaning.) The family room fireplace did need cleaning and they did a very good job. It was left very clean. They had to come back after the snow had melted from my roof to evaluate the chimney vents. They returned in about a week and provided me with a very detailed recommendation for work on the chimney. There was enough detail that I could tell it was more cosmetic than a safety issue so I will hold off a while longer. They were very honest and did not try to talk me or scare me into making additional improvements.

We found him through Angie's List so everything that everybody else said that was good was true. He seems to know what he is doing and found things with my chimney when he was on the roof that should have been done but were not done. Paul went ahead and fixed them. He was thorough and seemed educated. I thought he was expensive.

They were very professional, laid cloths everywhere, efficiently cleaned the chimney and restored the logs to the correct position, thereby solving the problem of extra gas smell when the fire was lit.

The two young gentlemen arrived on time, took off their shoes before entering the house. They were very nice and polite. We had scheduled a cleaning for both the fireplace and furnace chimneys, but upon inspection we were told the fireplace chimney didn't need to be cleaned. They did an excellent job cleaning the furnace chimney without any mess. The price was as quoted on the phone less the $25.00 coupon. They will call us in a year to do a free inspection.

Paul did a great job - he was extremely pleasant to work with and professional from start to finish. He covered the whole room with dust sheets and left no dust or dirt behind. The new chimney cap has made a massive difference to the performance of our fireplace - no more smoke in the room! I would certainly recommend Paul and plan to use him again for my regular maintenance.

The technician Matthew arrived on time and was courteous to my wife. They did a very thorough job and were careful and neat, when finished the whole area was spotless. They did a full inspection of the interior and exterior of the chimney and left recommendation for some repairs to be made in the springtime after the snow melts. We were very pleased with the service and would recommend them to others.

Paul was on time and did a thorough job. He inspected 2 flues but only one needed cleaning. He put down plastic to protect our rugs and repaired some work that had previously been done incorrectly. His charges are on the high side but he did not charge more than he quoted.

Prompt and courteous as well as knowledgable. Answered all questions and provided information brochures for review at our own pace. Very neat - covered all areas to and around fireplace and cleaned up everything like the fireplace was new. Even though this is the busy season, and we originally couldn't book an appointment that was any closer than about 2 months away, they let us know when a time opened up and we were seen 3 weeks earlier than the appointment we had booked. Attention to detail and friendly service as well as a reasonable price is why we highly recommend this company and will be using them ourselves, in the future.
