About us
Floors of Distinction is 99.95% dust-free. This is for two reasons: First, we are primadonnas who do not like working in dusty conditions, therefore we take every caution to prevent this. Second, and most importantly, we desire your experience with us to be positive in every respect. There's no point in doing a fantastic job finishing your floors if I destroy your home in the process! When your neighbors/friends/family say (and they will certainly say), "Wow, your floors look GREAT! Your home has been transformed! Who did you hire?", it serves me well for you to say, "Floors of Distinction did them, and they were neat and clean and nice and wonderful, etc. etc." They will then reply that they 'want to get their floors done too but wanted to see how it worked out for you first! Give me their number, please!' Too many times homeowners have said to me, "So and So did my floors last time, the floors looked ok, but I was cleaning dust out of my house for 6 months after they left". How discouraging! Now, will there be a LITTLE bit of dust left over? Of course, that's why I say honestly and realistically that we are 99.95% dust free. To say anything else would be presumptuous on my or anybody's part. How MUCH dust? Veeeery little, just 45 minutes with a micro-fiber cloth and you will never know we were there, except for your awesome floors, of course! We have quality people work for us, individuals who can be trusted in your home. Individuals who can be trusted around your valuable things, individuals who can be trusted around your family. My mantra is: Address and take care of the homeowners needs and concerns, and wonderful floors will come naturally. Too many people hire service companies based on 'lowest price' or 'I got a deal'. What it comes down to, after all is said and heard is this, "Who do you want to turn your house keys over to for the next few days?" Hiring a company to work in your home is a serious thing, indeed. We look forward to hearing from you.
Business highlights
Services we offer
We supply, install, sand and finish new floors. We also sand and refinish older floors, and even very old floors. We use both the traditional oil-based polyurethane and also love using the newer, environmentally friendly finishes too.
Services we don't offer
We do not use any moisture cured or acid cured finishes, as the health and safety risks for the workers and the families trusting us with their health and home are too great.
