They were delayed because the parts ordered came in later than anticipated. After installation, the skylight leaked, however they spent an entire week reisntalling and sealing to make sure the project met the quality. I was impressed with their commitment to customer satisfaction.

They do good work. I did not like the hourly service. I prefer fixed fees.

Professional, productive

I learned about Sound Shore Construction from Home Advisor and the reviews. I called for an estimate as a result. The reviews were spot on! Paul is not only a pleasure to work with, but his estimate was fair, and the workmanship of his crew was impeccable, timely and detailed. We needed an exterior door replaced and refitted, siding repaired and a damaged gutter repaired in a rental unit. In addition to the high quality of work, Paul checked after the work was completed to make sure everything was done as expected. I let him know it was better than expected, and asked him if he could complete some other jobs on my own home. One of the jobs, which included replacing another external door and replacing a wall with insulation in the basement, needed attention immediately, and Paul arranged to have his crew come the next day. Again, the estimate was fair, the work was detailed, beautiful and beyond my expectations. Paul's follow-up is very helpful, and he patiently answers any and all questions. He gives you all the time you need. I have already asked him to look at some other issues that need attention, and I look forward to working with him. It is extremely comforting to know Paul because of his vast knowledge, creativity, problem-solving ability, fairness and "can do" approach, which will make it possible for my husband and me to keep our home well maintained going forward.

The project was top notch. Not only did they consistently show up on time, but they finished the project early. Paul was GREAT!!! His workers are very professional, courteous, organized and clean. I received pristine quality work for a very affordable price. I plan on continuing the working relationship as I have many other projects that I will use them for.

Paul at Sound Shore Construction replaced a kitchen fixture, and did electrical work for me. I was pleased with his work and plan to use him for other projects in my home. I highly recommend him.

Hired them to replace trim on home and some deck flooring also soffits on a shed. The shed job was acceptable but the trim work on the home was not. I purchased lengths so there would not be joints but there are. All work was suppose to be caulked but it wasn't. The caulking they did do was done on a rainy day so all the white caulk ran down the grey siding. I was told they would come back to finish but when they called to do additional work and finish up the previous job and I declined I never saw or heard from them again. They were paid in full so it couldn't have been about the money. The more time I spend correcting their mistakes the angrier I get. So I am finally writing this in the hopes it helps someone else. I was contacted by a "Senior Consultant" and he reviewed the work. Several places he admitted the work was not done properly. There were some portions he said that were not completed to what I thought was agreed upon because the estimate was to low. I was told they would be in touch when the weather was better. That was several months ago. If you use them or anyone get exactly what you want done in writing and make sure its understood on how the work is to be completed. Good Luck!

Pleasant to deal with; provided a competent substitute brick mason when the regular person could not show up; work completed on time and I have no complaints. Would I use Home Square again? Yes.

We just had a broken drawer track and couldn't find a replacement. John at HomeSquare repaired the track and provided very good service at a very fair price.

They were fast and redid my three story deck in a day and a half. They cleaned up all of their work, including the demo work and the price was in line with what others had price quoted to me. In general they did what they said they would do and they were also quiet and I would highly recommend them and would consider them for future projects.

home square responded promptly to an emergency situation. The handyman, Fabian, was an efficient, pleasant, willing worker doing an unpleasant job. He's the reason I give Home Square a five star rating.

I had an unusual situation. They came in advance, talked to me and others to determine the best course of action. Very much interested in doing the job right. Repairs can be tricky. I will hire them again in the future if I need work done to my house.
