I was able to receive service within a couple hours of contacting the company. The company gave me a call when the service provider was on his way. He was polite and professional, examined my garage door and suggested replacing the spring that was broken and also replacing the rollers that were old. It was all installed quickly and my garage door works like a charm. I don't know the going price for this type of service. I had a $35 coupon from the internet and the total was $399.

We had never had the garage door or opener looked at in the 13 years we've owned our home. The door was incredibly noisy and it had gotten to the point where it was difficult to close on sunny days. It would start to go down and then lift back up like there was something blocking the sensor. We assumed the sun was hitting one of the sensors and it was confusing the opener. We purchased a special through Angie's List for a tune-up plus keypad installation. After purchasing the special, we were immediately sent a message online to set up our appointment. The technician arrived just when they said he would. I told him what our problems were and after operating the door a few times, the tech said he thought the drive chain (?) probably needed to be replaced. There was no pressure at all to purchase one but I went ahead and okayed it. He oiled the rollers, tightened some loose screws, installed the keypad and replaced the drive chain. When he was finished, I couldn't believe how much QUIETER our garage door was. In addition, we have not had one single problem with getting the door to close since he was here. It works like a charm! Sometimes there are things that bug you more than you realize...until you don't have to worry about them anymore. This was one of those things. Seems silly to be excited about having a quiet, working garage door opener but I am!

He was here on the dot of when I expected him. He did the job and my garage door was much quieter when he was done. And the work is guaranteed!

Technician called ahead and arrived ahead of appointment time. He started with replacing the rollers, lubricated and adjusted the tracks. Adjusted the spring, made sure door opened and closed with no binding. Has worked like a charm since.

They were prompt, courteous and professional. He oiled the track, tightened all hinges, cleaned the track and chain and it has never worked better. We would absolutely recommend their services.

This was a routine periodic maintenance visit prompted by an Angie's "Deal." After I replied to and accepted Angie's Deal, I was contacted within 24 hours by the provider (by e-mail) and asked to pick three convenient dates for the service. I replied , and shortly after was contacted by telephone when we settled on a date and I was provided a 2-hour service gate of 9:00 am to 11:00. On the service date I was contacted early in that gate and told by the serviceman he was on the way and would arrive in about 19 minutes. Upon arrival he politely introduced himself and offered his card for identification. He was wearing a neat, clean uniform with employer identification on it. He told me exactly what he would be doing and I advised him of some minor problems or adjustments that needed to be made. He then set about inspecting the door for any other problems and shortly returned to the door and noted that he had found no major problems. He then began servicing the door by adjusting and lubricating as indicated. When he finished, he operated the door for me and I found it to be operating in a smooth and quiet manner. He had eliminated any problems I had noted to him. He went over the statement of work he had prepared; I signed it readily and he was on his way to the next job. He was a pleasant, professional, young man.

We purchased an "Angie's Big Deal" for a "tune-up" from Academy Overhead Door. This was the first time we had used this service provider. The technician was prompt, courteous, and thorough in his work. Later in the day, we noticed some binding of the door's operation. When I contacted the company, they sent the technician back the very next day. He made the necessary re-adjustments, and now the door operates smoothly and correctly. We were impressed by Academy Overhead Door's prompt response and professionalism.

Went great. I bought the deal. They called to schedule and were out in no time. I was very happy with it and the process.

Arrived shortly after 2:30 pm Shaved antenna for better reception. Did a test with car opener - still weak. Suggested I buy a new door opener. He then oiled rollers and when I went in the house he went to his truck and talked on cell for 10 + minutes. I sat in garage and waited for him. When he returned he said oh there you are! On site less than 30 minutes

I had the $39 coupon for a tune up and he didn't charge me anything more even though he re-bolted a rail that had come loose. Also, he left the can of lube that he used so we could touch up the door if needed.

Overall Im extremely satisfied with the work Braxton did. I think he saved me a lot of money by repairing the parts I already had and fixing the problem. He finished the repairs in about an hour, whish was very fast considering the repairs he did.

The service was fine. There was a problem after the first technician left as the garage door kept going up and down. We had to lock the door at night and that same technician came and tried to get it fixed but he could not figure it out. They sent a different person per my request and they were able to get it solved. The experience was still good as they were very responsive.

The repairs only took a short period of time; approx. 1/2 hour total. When he was finished, the serviceman explained what he had done and some things that I could do the next time I need work done to make the working of the door more efficient and less noisy. He also tightened the door to the 3rd car park area to make it work more efficiently. The price was reasonable. Serviceman called to tell me he was running a bit late, which was great.

A LiftMaster specialist installed the new garage door opener. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Academy Overhead Door worked with me on payment which, being on a fixed income, was very appreciated.

They were okay. They were quick, they got in and they did a nice job. They did what they needed to do. But they were a little dirty. They left some dirty hand prints on my garage door and stuff. They did not clean up by themselves.
