They were supposed to give us a quote but never bothered.

The estimator was punctual and quick. The company's owner came to the job site several times to check progress. The job was finished on time and looks terrific. I plan on calling Kenny's Concrete again to replace our front steps and porch when our budget allows.

Kenny was punctual for the initial estimate meeting. He answered all of our questions and gave us a list of work he had completed in our neighborhood. Kenny and his team were very accommodating with design suggestions from us. They were able to create rounded steps for our front porch, which was different from what was originally there. They checked the foundation for any damages before they poured the new concrete. Scheduling the actual work was slightly challenging as we were working with multiple variables -- weather, multiple schedules (ours included) and a cement truck. As our work was a relatively small job, we needed to be scheduled with another job close by. (We ended up being scheduled earlier than our initial date.) The work itself took 2 consecutive days -- the first day to demo and build frames, and then the second day to pour the concrete and clean up. They were very thorough in the clean up process as well, and were considerate of surrounding areas such as gardens, etc. We are very pleased with our new porch!

Things went well. Curtis arrived to give estimate the same day I called. He gave detailed explanation of the work involved and worked extra hard to accomodate my schedule. The workers were friendly and considerate and cleaned up very well after the completion of the project.

Received price from Tom Roth. Very friendly and professional. Agreed on price and signed contract on 5/30/09. Tom told me work would be done the next week. I had seen some of their work and felt good about doing business with them and was pleased with the reports on Angie's list. I called about 10 days later and Tom Roth told me that the weather had delayed the schedule. The weather had been bad for 2 weeks and being a former contractor myself I could relate and understood. I called back on 6/24/09, spoke with Tom Roth again and was told I had been taken off the schedule because they could not do the job for the price quoted on the contract we both signed. I asked when somebody was going to tell me this and was told the girl in the office should have called me. If Tom Roth is not qualified to give accurate quotes I feel he should not be doing them. Hopefully the management at Kenny's concrete can solve this issue as the work I have seen of theirs looks very good. I did not haggle over the price. Even a phone call to apologize and say a mistake had been made on the quote and give me the chance to see the right cost would have been the professional thing to do. Not impressed.

I was impressed with the company. They were doing the concrete work in December which presents special problems, specifically snow. Kenny, the owner actually came to my home late at night to make sure everything was ready because we had just got snow. He worked until late at night to make sure everything was set for the next day, including cleaning out the house gutters which might melt and drip on the new concrete. How many owners would actually do that: none that I know of. Excellent job.

I set an appointment for an estimate with Curtis. The day and time came and he didn't show. I called him 50 minutes beyond the appointment time and he said he was having car problems and forgot to call. We set a time for the following day and guess what? He never showed up! I can understand unexpected things coming up, but the fact that he did not call to explain and rescheduled TWICE is unprofessional.

It went well overall. Kenny's bid was one of the lowest and his work was exceptional. Although Kenny no longer does the work himself, he has an experienced crew. The company is not large which makes me feel like they are more responsive and not subbing out their work. We had some trouble scheduling the work because of an unexpected health issue. Once that was resolved Kenny's crew removed the old concrete one afternoon and poured the new concrete the next morning. It looks great!

They did a good job, we have been very pleased with their work. They were prompt. We would use them again.
