had them come out twice actually. first time was when i had just moved into a new house and had a list of things i wanted repaired and replaced. the 1st man came out promptly and was very nice. he gave me a list of what i needed to buy at the store and didn't bill me a trip charge. unfortunately his list wasn't thorough enough, because when i got to Home Depot they told me I needed more specifics before I could purchase the correct parts. i appreciated the fact that he said it would be cheaper to buy the parts myself (there is a trip charge / surcharge on items purchased for a job) and it sounds kind of silly to complain about something like that, but he had created an entire list of parts for my bathroom fixer-upper, and I was with my 18 month old at the time so it was a waste of an hour of my day to make the trip. the 2nd man came out a few months later to perform some of the tasks I decided I had to have done, and to give me estimates on a few more. I had to reschedule him a few times because the schedulers kept messing up times and availability of their workers. unfortunately he was 1.5 hours late because he had been scheduled to do work at a location very far away from mine. he was nice and professional, and was able to get several of the tasks completed that i had wanted done, but not all of them. his estimate of other work I was contemplating having done was kind of wide (2-4 hours for a few different jobs), which made me doubt his knowledge level. he also was a bit slow in getting tasks complete and was texting someone a few times on the job. unfortunately, he charged me for 2 hours worth of work even though he was at my house for 1 hr and 45 minutes. he also said he would call me back regarding a faulty bathtub drain, which he never did.

It went very smooth and the quality of work was excellent

I called after-hours and had a repairman come out within a reasonable time. He fixed the leak, then rescheduled to install a few feet of copper pipe leading outside to a water spigot. Very thorough and professional. Great job!

Excellent, they were punctual and very professional. I will most definitely use this company again. They had to reschedule due to a heavy snowstorm but were there the very next business day.

The work was fine. The guy was creative and got things done. I would hire them again.

Their quote was too high. We ended up having the work done for $650 from a local contractor. I probably wouldn't hire them in the future because they seem to be at the high end of price.

Quick response came out within the week that I called and on time to perform the needed work. Craig was very professional and helpful and good with the dog and grandkids that were in the house at the time. The work was done well and looks good and what we wanted done. Craig also gave some good advice on a tub repair that needs to be done. I will definitely call on this company again for needed repairs around the house.

As work progressed, it was obvious that whoever had done the bathroom in the first place was not a quality handyman. None of the walls were plum and the floors were uneven. This translated into a lot more time than expected and many pieces that had to be individually cut. Throughout the whole process Craig and Kevin were great. Their work was first-rate! They listened to our ideas, and answered all our questions. There were days that they stayed longer than expected. The bathroom looks wonderful! They did a really nice job!

The experience has been great so far. They have been very knowledgeable and everything that has been done looks like quality work. The communication with the company has been very good.

The job took about four hours. The price was competitive. They gave me a quote over the phone and actually did the work for less. They were very friendly and cleaned up well, which was very nice. I would use them again in the future and have already recommended them to others.

After two and a half weeks I called him back because he hadn't called us like he said he would. He was pleasant enough, but I would never tell anyone to hire him. He also charged us $35 to come out to tell us if he could even give us a bid. When we did get the bid, it was an enormous price. In the end, he didn't even seem to be interested in the job. I think that the owners of Handyman Matters should have given us a follow up call because they would have had our business.

He was really good and did what I wanted him to do. He was really good with informing me of what it was going to cost me to get it fixed. He was very professional and on time. He did the work pretty quickly and I would definitely use them again.

The workman (Tom) was punctual and very professional as was the customer service (Karen) provided by phone before and after the project was completed. I will definitely use them again.

Overall, we were happy with the work. Company was very responsive and got me an estimate via email within a day, unlike several other handyman businesses I tried. They were booked through the week, but I was in no hurry, so we scheduled the work about a week out. We had originally asked for a quote on more work, but were able to do some ourselves, which lowered the cost. Mitch was on time and knowledgeable. It was a little odd that he didn't come with a ladder, even though I had told the company that the work was on the second story. Fortunately, the windows in question have a porch roof below them, so he could crawl out the window and stand on the porch roof. He sized up the job and went shopping, charged us $65 an hour for 3 and a half hours of work, plus materials and an additional $35 service charge (which kind of irks me, although they did tell me about it up front). Only complaint is that he left a corner piece of wood untouched that needed some caulking and paint- we didn't specifically ask him to do anything with that piece, but asked him to fix anything he saw up there, and it was a foot from where he was working. Also, he left the wood below one of the windows dirty and it really needed another coat of paint. We never saw a receipt for the materials purchased, so we can't know for sure that they cost what we were charged, but it seems about right. I guess the bottom line is that we were satisfied with the quality and price of the work, but feel like an extra 15 minutes would have wowed us.

HANDYMAN MATTERS SAVES US A LOT OF MONEY BECAUSE AT FIRST WE THOUGHT THEY WOULD HAVE TO RE-TEXTURE THE ENTIRE WALL AFTER WE REMOVED OLD WALLPAPER. HOWEVER, MOST OF THE WALL ONLY NEEDS TO BE WASHED AND CLEANED TO REMOVE THE GLUE.
