+ -1 moreAlex Javalera picked up a check of $1150 for Carpet installation on Wednesday (10-01-2014), and he promised to install Carpet at my house by the end of the business day on Monday (10-06-2014). A check was written out to him on Wednesday evening, it was promptly deposited but come Wednesday, no one would answer the phone. I made repeated attempts to reach them but they would not answer or call back. I left several messages for them to call me back and perhaps let me know if they had encountered some issues that had caused some delays, but, no one answered or returned my calls. I even used several other phone numbers to reach them and still had no response. I noticed that the check written out to them cleared my bank and so, my money was confirmed transferred to them, however, up to today, no work was done or no calls were ever returned explaining why they had not got back to me. I was scammed and I had no other alternatives. They are true scammers and I don't understand why they are still listed on Angie's List. Please do not waste your money calling them, this is how they make their living.....scamming people. Learn from my experiences and do not bother using this company at all....you'll be ripped off!

+ -1 moreThey came and get the measurements of the carpet and told us we would pay half then. We gave $1,000 deposit. They said the carpet would be here in one week. The week has passed. This has put us another week behind. My parents are on oxygen and life alert and everything is in the back yard. It has rained and damaged our furniture while we wait for the carpet. We keep calling and they will not answer the phone.
Description of Work: This company was to replace carpet for us.

Description of Work: I visited the store in person and spoke with owner, Alex. He showed us carpets that applied to his ad on Craig's List which offered 50 square yards of basic carpet, padding and installation for $599 or a slightly higher quality carpet package for $699. Alex wrote out a quote for us that day, knowing that we needed 56 square yards of carpet, which he wrote on the quote itself. Long story short, when my in-laws when into the store to place the order for the carpet, they were "greeted" by Alex's sister who was extremely rude and demeaning and said that he "made a mistake" in his quote. The price then jumped to $820 for the carpet they picked out. After several phone calls and e-mails back and forth, Alex agreed to meet us in the middle of the two quotes at $750. We set up the installation. Upon arrival, when the installer brought the carpet in, my mother-in-law questioned whether they had the right carpet. Alex assured her by phone that yes, it was the right carpet, and that it just needed to fluff up from being rolled up. Sure enough, when all was said and done, it was realized that in fact it was not the right carpet. They had installed a much cheaper version than what had been picked out. Alex argued with my mother-in-law by phone after installation, demanding payment. My mother-in-law paid half of the $750 and agreed to come to his store to compare carpet samples and discuss the situation that following Monday. My mother-in-law has now left him several messages about a good time to meet him at the store, and Alex has not returned any of her calls.

+ -1 moreI found this companies prices to be roughly half of that charged by some of the other more well known companies, yet there is no drop off in quality. Another advantage of this company is the fact that they are bilingual. I also found it important to monitor the installation, so that the seems are not placed in the wrong locations.
Description of Work: I purchased and had installed carpet and padding for my sixteen hundred square foot rental property.
