This is the second time we've used A Brush with Success, and they are THE BEST! Very professional, very meticulous, they do what they say they will do, and remain cheerful and positive throughout the entire process. We had a number of additions and changes as our week long project progressed, and Rich always does well with this. He is positive and helpful, finding the best solution and colors. Mostly, he's a nice guy, honest, dependable, and he and his helper are amazing painters. You won't be sorry if you hire them. We will be using them again, that's for sure!

Rich was very prompt and on time. The work was finished in 1 1/2 days. Very well done and will definitely use him again.

I called and ask for a quote and Rich stopped by. Then helped even with the color being it was a yellow he knows how it will look when it is on the wall and with light or shades.

They really did a wonderful job. They were quick and efficient and reasonably priced. They were professional.

I am very satisfied with them. I called Rich Lyons up and he said that he was in the area and can stop by in about an hour. He underbid our contractor and he was able to be much more flexible and work with a lot of other contractors who we had to end up bringing in because we ended up firing our general contractor. He really did a good job. However, later on I had noticed that there was one closet that wasn’t done and his bid had been on doing everything. It is a small walk in closet. So, I called him back about it, he said he looked at it and it looked fine to him but it was white where as everything else in our room was either colored or cream. I said that wasn’t the deal and he said he would come back in a couple of weeks because he was all tied up then but he hasn’t done that. It was so stressful in here because we had the hardwood guy, the carpeting guy, the electrician, the mud people where just finishing up and he was painting all at the same time.

When I first contacted Rich at A Brush with Success, I wanted him to come and look at our home at first. We had a large family room, the size of two regular rooms put together, and I wanted to make sure the coupon would cover painting this space. He was very agreeable and came out to look at the room. At that point, I also asked him for an estimate on painting the ceiling of the same room as well as the ceiling in a connected hallway. He gave me the estimates and we scheduled a time. They were punctual and the work was completed in the time he said it would be. When I noticed an area of the ceiling that had been missed (it was a little lower than the other ceiling), Rich came out and finished it up. We were very pleased with the professionalism and the work done.

We signed up on Angie's List when we purchased our home and my husband received notice of a $98/room special (2 per household) with A Brush with Success. We were planning on painting the rooms ourselves, but the offer was too good to pass up. Rich was very responsive when I contacted him about scheduling a time. He even purchased the paint for us with his discount, which saved us additional dollars. Rich and his assistant showed up on time and spent the morning doing a beautiful, professional job of painting (two coats) in our two rooms. The rooms look fabulous. Rich has a great personality, which always makes having a contractor in your home so much more pleasant. He is definitely our "go to" guy for painting and I will definitely recommend him to my friends and clients as well.

I tried to paint a house for sale myself, quarter way through, I gave up. It took me 6 hours to paint just one wall. So I called up this company since they are offering a $99 coupon. They showed up ontime, very responsive and did the rest of the house in just 8 hours. They painted a bedroom, my hallway with ton of door trims. Yes they painted door trims too, which is a tedious work. They also finished my living room that I started. It was a pretty good deal. I am already calling them again for another bid. If the price works well this time again, I will use them for a much larger project.

I can't recommend him and his workers enough. Very professional, very knowledgeable about what colors he recommended, showed up on time, worked hard, and I swear there isn't a drop out of place. Lines are absolutely crisp, which I love. Can't go wrong with A Brush with Success.

The guy showed to paint the first room 3 coats. Then said he didn't have time to do the other room and would have to reschedule. I had to hunt him down to get him to eventually do the 2nd room and that is when he responded that he wanted me to pay an additional $150 because he did 3 coats on the first room, and the 2nd room had slight horizontal walls so that was more and he wanted to do 3 coats on a room that has never been painted and then charge me for that. He barely even looked at the 2nd room before he started throwing out charges. It was apparent that he was trying to make as much money as he could rather than just do the job and gain a referral. He was a snaky businessman. This is odd because what is written above isn't even half of what I wrote in my original report. But I want to add that I have all the emails that indicates I had to contact him for each job, they also indicate the additional charges he had listed. It also shows in the emails where I told him I was not going to pay anymore and to just subtract the cost of the first room from the $200 and give the rest back to me and that I would do the second room myself. He then agrees to come and finish the second room and not charge me rather than giving me my money back. And now he has a change or heart and wants to charge?? We have an agreement on email. I also want it noted that he told us that we needed to gallons for each room but during both jobs they ran out of paint where we (my husband and I) had to run to Home Depot to get another gallon at the last minute. We had to buy the paint. So the total cost for buying the 6 gallons to do two rooms came to $60 and and gas and the hour I had to have myy neighbor girl watch my daughter so I could run and get the paint exceeded my expectations in the cost as well.

I do a lot of my own interior painting, but after a major basement remodel, painting a bathroom and 2 bedrooms, primer, ceiling, walls, doors and trim, I just could not face the final leg of the project. I decided to have it professionally painted, and I am so glad I did. The entire experience was great from start to finish. Rich (the owner) was very responsive in coming out to check out what I needed and he got back to me within a couple of days with the bid by e-mail. The price was less than I was expecting, and he was able to put us on his schedule for about 10 days out. Rich and Juan arrived right on time and got immediately to work. Except for the smell of fresh paint, I barely noticed they were here, they worked so quickly and quietly. The finished product is just beautiful and I doubt I will ever do my own painting again. I only wish I had thought to call him before I was down to the last room in the house! I would highly recommend Rich and A Brush With Success, and will definitely call him again in the future when I need painting, interior or exterior.

My overall experience was good. The price was very affordable. The quality of the work done was excellent. They were very good with responsiveness. They were very professional. I would use them again.

,.Handyman was hired to fix problem areas. Whole house was power washed. All trim was hand painted (color went from dark to light and took several coats). Body of house was sprayed. No damage to shrubbery, no overspray onto brick. No extra charges except for extra paint because of trim. Very professsional job, even worked overtime to finish up before our fiirst 10" snowstorm. Would highly recommend.

The work they did was great. I was able to trust them enough as I didn’t have to stay and watch them paint. I left them with my clamored. I left them there in my apartment by themselves. They did the job completely trustworthy and honest. It looks beautiful.

We took out one of the Angie's List deals where we paid $198 for painting two rooms. Rich and his assistant Juan came out in early August and painted an upstairs bedroom (a main color and an accent wall of a different color, which was a small additional fee.) This took one day. We were out of town for awhile in September and wanted our living room painted when we got back. So in mid October Rich and Juan returned and painted the living room. Rich suggested we might want to use the remaining paint from the living room to paint the walls leading upstairs and the upstairs hallway. A week later they came back and completed that work. The original deal did not include the baseboards and door frames, so we paid extra for that. All of their work was excellent. Everything looks much cleaner and brighter. I would definitely use "A Brush with Success" again!

Absolute perfection! This company is the BEST. Rich is extremely responsive, dependable, easy to communicate with, and follows through. The painting couldn't be better--very precise work, and fast, too! We couldn't be happier with the 2 different times they were here, painting walls, and trim. A+++ for the entire experience. Hope to use them again soon for other areas of our home.

My experience with A Brush with Success, Inc. Company was good. They did a good job. They were thorough. Their price was good. I would use them again in the future.

I was looking to get my master bedroom painted and was excited when I saw the $99 Angie's Big Deal for Brush With Success to paint one room. After I purchased the Big Deal I immediately emailed Rich Lyons, the owner of Brush with Success and he emailed me within the same day. In that email he said he would get back to me with a date when he could come over and paint, but it would definitely be at least 2 weeks before he was available. I was completely fine with this as I was not in a rush. Well the 2 weeks passed and I had yet to hear from Rich with his availability, so I emailed him again to follow up and gave him my available dates instead. And once again, he wrote right back and said he was "meaning to get back to me" and would once again let me know in the next few days when he could come over. And then another week went by and no word from Rich, so I emailed him again and this time asked that he confirm a date with me and he was again quick to respond and finally scheduled me for the following Monday. Once we got the date on the calendar he showed up on time as promised and his work was fine. But when he and his partner first showed up they were not very friendly and did not seem all that happy to be at my house. In the end, when he finished he was polite and did an ok job, except for the paint they got on my white vanity in the master bathroom (which I now need to fix!). So in the end I felt my experience with Rich was a little bit frustrating. And I understand, you get what you pay for, but vendors should not participate in the Big Deals if they are going to make the customers feel unimportant because they are not paying full price. I put that I would not recommend him again. While his work was decent, my overall experience was sub-par. But if there was a maybe category I would have chosen that instead base on the fact that getting my entire bedroom painted for $99 was a great deal!

They were an excellent company and great to work with and quick, clean, and did a great job. They were good people to work with and I felt comfortable around them I felt like I could trust them in my home and like I said they didn't leave a mess behind. So many times I have had people in and out who don't do a thorough job and leaving your place they it was before they came in. I appreciated that and there was no mess to clean up after they left. We have people who want painting the same as my husband and he passes out his cards because he felt comfortable referring.

Overall, Rich and crew did an outstanding job. Rich responded very quickly to my first phone call, and he came to my house within 3 business days to perform a pre-inspection (identify any potential problem areas), to estimate how much paint would be needed, and to provide a quote. Rich and crew fit me in their schedule within 2 days of me buying the paint. (Rich can purchase the paint, as well. I chose to purchase my own because I had a particular paint in mind.) After each day, they cleaned up and organized equipment neatly together in the back yard. A Brush With Success is a small operation, and the quality of the painting reflects extra care. Everywhere I looked, the paint was applied with a healthy and even thickness, and the edging lines were superb. I found no signs of paint splatters on the porch, walkway or driveway. Overall, I would highly recommend A Brush With Success for any painting jobs you have.
