We did not have work done by A Brush With Success for this particular interior job. However, we did get an estimate from Rich that was competitive and we are planning to get another one for some exterior work and a larger interior job soon. We were very impressed with Rich's service and pricing. The fact that we went with another is no reflection on our experience with this company.

Overall I am satisfied. After painting all but one room in my newly purchased home, I decided to purchase a big deal. It was well worth the relaxation of no more painting. They did a great job.

Within a few days of purchasing the deal, I was contacted by Rich Lyons at the company about the deal. I explained that we didn't want the work done quite yet, and he was very patient and accommodating. While we will definitely update this review once the work is completed, so far we have been very pleased with the level of service and responsiveness we have received from the company, and we look forward to working with them!

I called and spoke to Rich and was able to set up an appointment for the following week. Two painters showed up that morning right on time. They got right to work taping and prepping to paint. I had purchased the deal for 2 rooms to be painted for $199. However, I only was ready to do one room so I arranged to have the bathroom walls painted and they painted the door, trim and cieling as well for the same price. Overall, I thought it was a great deal and they were prompt, professional and did a great job. The lines are nice and straight. They cleaned up everything when the were done and the bathroom looks great. I would definitely use them again.

The contractor did quality work. My main complaint is lack of communication and coordination. A positive was Rich came out to our house to help us pick colors. After that the communication went down hill. His team showed up to power wash without any notice to us. When my wife spoke to Rich, she said he was rather rude. She asked if we could have our chimney painted in a scheme similar to another house down the street. Rich said that wasn't in the original bid and would be extra, and once Rich told us the price, we were fine with that. However, he didn't communicate it to the crew and they didn't want to do it how we asked. I had to have one of the guys call Rich because he wouldn't answer the phone for me, even though I left multiple messages. In the end the work was completed on time and at the cost of the bid, just a lot of undue stress due to lack of communication. Lastly, I didn't think the crew cleaned up the paint chips/debris as much as I would have liked, even though I was out there sweeping myself.

After I purchased the coupons to paint two rooms, Rich (the owner) came out to look at the job and verify the work to be completed. As expected, the bedroom with the extra high ceiling would be more money. This was clearly stated on the coupon I purchased from AngiesList so it was not a surprise. In fact I was happy with the extra amount, it seemed very reasonable. Rich and his employees showed up at exactly the time promised the day of the job. They worked diligently, efficiently, and quietly. I have had the experience of hiring people who seem to "move in" when they show up to do a days work, blaring music etc. This was not the case here, they were respectful of my home and my property. Rich's crew cleaned up completely, there was not anything I could find to complain about. Nothing left for me to throw out or clean up after. The painting job was the best I have ever hired. The walls were cut into the ceiling perfectly, laser straight. They repaired some stress cracks in the walls, and after painting you would never know there was a crack there. I have nothing but good things to say about the job they did, and I have every intention of hiring "A Brush with Success" again. I am 100% satisfied.

They did a great job, exactly as described. Arrived on time and finished in a very timely manner. Very pleased!

There was a lack of responsiveness by email initially. When the date was finally set, the painters showed up promptly. The owner had forgotten he was picking up the paint for me so I had to go get it myself. The painters were very patient, polite and professional. They pointed out quickly that the store had mixed the wrong color, so I had to return to the store for correct paint. The job was then completed quickly and properly. They were very neat and made sure no mess was left. I would use the company again because of the quality of the job, but would try to establish better communication on details.

Very fast response to phone call for work. I needed it done before I had my new carpet installed the next week, They were very professional and compleated the job in one day, Excellent value for the quality of work done.

Overall, I think the job went very well. Rich was very responsive to my service request, and we were able to schedule an initial free estimate within a week of my first inquiry (and on a Saturday, no less!). After the estimate, Rich sent me a bid within a couple days of the estimate, and we were able to schedule the appointment a week after accepting the bid. I think the work itself was done very well. The two-man painting team did high-quality work with nice, clean lines. They also did a nice job of covering existing lines on the ceiling and giving the ceiling a uniform, smooth look as compared to the rest of the ceiling space. I've had other painters do work before, and while it was good, it wasn't as good as the work done by Rich's team. I would definitely hire them for additional work in the future.

I called Rich based on a Groupon. He honored it and added in our bath for a low fee. He and another man came to do the job. They were very quick but very professional.

Rich was extremely responsive and updated me constantly on scheduling and even when his guys were going to be 30 minutes late. His painters were polite and courteous, extremely efficient and did a great job. in just 3 hours they had completed the bedroom (not including molding) and had the bedroom put back together. I would not hesitate to use these guys again.

Rich was very nice, responsive, and professional to deal with from the bid through the completion of the painting work. His painting crew did an excellent job in the prep work ' painting, and clean up. I would definitely recommend this company and plan to use them for some interior work in the next few months.

I purchased this deal on Oct 8th and have been emailing and calling him since to schedule. I just now got in touch with the company. I wanted him to come out and take a look at the room to give me an estimate and paint the room. He wanted me to measure it out for him because he lived farther than his company address. He kind of gave an attitude about the situation, after it took me this long to get in touch with him. He also was going to send part time painters to do the work for him. I ultimately decided I do not want to work with this company because of the attitude and sending part time painters when there is crown moulding and baseboards in the area of the painting.

I purchased "The Big Deal - $109 for 1 Room of Interior Painting" on October 11th. The ad said some one would contact me within 2 days of purchase. It's now October 29th and no one from the company has contacted me. I did receive and email from Angie's List on October 15th asking if I had been contacted by the company. I told them I hadn't been contacted. They responded by saying they would look into it and get back to me. I still haven't been contacted by the company or Angie's list. At this point "The Big Deal" is looking more like "The Big Ripoff". I just want my money back.

When contacting Brush with Success I spoke with Rich Lyons the owner. Explained the scope of the project to him and that the property is occupied by tenants and not myself. I happen to live out of state and would require that photos of the finished work be sent. Rich had no problem with working with me. Within a short time he went to the site and provided his proposal; upon acceptance the work was scheduled and completed. Rich provided the photos as initially requested and in speaking with the tenants the decks look great!

He did good work. It was a small job and he got so busy that he would blow us off sometimes. It took six months to get the work done. Once it was completed, the work was of good quality.

I was able to get information and an estimate immediately on the phone. They showed up on time and did a flawless job. Rich is very informative and personable.

We called this company to get a quote to paint the unpainted brick on our 110 year old home. Rich came out to look at our house and said that he didn't have much experience painting brick and that he couldn't warranty his work because our brick was in poor shape, which surprised me because it has never been painted and has very few areas that needs tuck pointing. We got a quote from another company who said the brick was in fine shape and not a proble. It's been over a week and we still haven't got a quote. I guess it doesn't matter as it is unlikely that we'll use them.

They Showed up on time and kept to the contract. The work was done to professional standards. Yes, I would use them again.

Rich and his crew prepped, sealed, filled, sprayed and brushed throughout. The paint job was very good. The edges were well done, caulking thorough and the end product was outstanding. My wife and I are thrilled with the way the house looks and believe this will protect our investment for years to come. Rich runs a very matter of fact type business. If you are looking for someone who can work around your busy schedule Rich is the guy. Almost all of our communication was via email. The crews came and went as needed and the job got done even though I wasn't home for 99% of it. The only issue was when the doors needed painting and the front edges were hidden behind the weatherstripping. The crew needed access and this wasn't well coordinated in advance. My wife worked from home that day and it all worked out so in the end it was no big deal. The bottom line was a great paint job with little hassle and a competitive price. We are very pleased with a Brush with Success and would recommend to anyone.
