A Brush with Success Inc

I contacted Rich Lyons, owner, of Brush with Success for a paint bid in early March by phone. He promptly returned my phone call and came out to bid the work needed. I also asked for some "color" assistance and selected his recommendation for the bedroom. Rich was very prompt, courteous and helpful with any question/concern we had. We have allergies to chemicals and he was extremely accommodating to make sure anything we needed was taken care of. The two painters, Travis & Brandon, were brothers that have worked for Rich for quite awhile. They were polite, engaging and most important they did an excellent job on both rooms. They showed up on time, completed the work per request and cleaned up after the work was done. The bid was a fair price and we were delighted with the work. We would highly recommend this company and use them again in a heartbeat!

They were great. They were very punctual and get back to us very quickly. I thought they would have done a good job but we just decided that we can do it on our own.

He did not charge me the whole deal because there wasn't a ton of work, I fully expected to pay the whole deal. They even came back to do a small wall and still didn't charge me the full price. They accidentally painted the ceiling the wrong color so they had to paint the entire ceiling and didn't charge me for that. They were just wonderful. The guys who did the painting were very polite, professional, and prompt. It was a good experience overall. They showed up on time and owned up to the mistake. They were very fast and very efficient. They had reasonable pricing. They never tried to overcharge and never tried to get anything extra. They were beyond fair.

the two young men that worked for Rich arrived at 9am promptly. They were professional and got right to work. Their work was emaculate.

Two friendly young men came over, right on time, and just "got after it" ! They did everything exceptionally well and left the place clean and tidy.

Nice enough man came to our house. It took him a few days to get here, and a few days to get us the requested estimate. When he was at our house, I asked when he could start and he said, upon acceptance of the estimate, he would tell us. He provided us with a reasonable quote which we promptly accepted to paint the inside of our house. We really liked him and thought he would do a good job. Upon accepting the quote on a weekend, I asked by email when we could start. No answer. We wrote again. No answer. Finally, midweek, he wrote that he was on vacation for a week. When he got back, do you think he ever called or wrote? Nope. BTW, he mentioned when he was at the house that he was really doing well and that Angie's list kept him busy. He also mentioned that he has a client who flips houses and keeps him plenty busy - that the guy just bought three houses. Obviously he doesn't need our business - and we stopped writng. Maybe he underestimated the job and realized later, maybe he forgot, maybe he's just too busy - but we were not impressed. We are taking our business where it is wanted! This was our first experience on Angie's list - we were pretty disappointed!

My experience with them went very well. We had an unusual situation with a room. My stepdaughter had decided that she wanted to have this kind of quite shinny color. She decided she wanted the room and the bedroom to be that color, and so she and a couple of her friends did their best, but it was kind of an uneven job. So A Brush with Success Inc came in and basically what we had them do was try to finish it off so that it looked like it was kind of all one color and it worked out very well. I was not there when they came in. They did a neat job. They were very clean. I did not get any complaints, which was kind of unusual because a stepdaughter can be a little picky. Her mom was happy and everybody is happy. They showed up when they said they were going to. They cleaned up after themselves, they did not leave a mess.

Rich, the owner, was very professional in setting up the appointment. The crew of two he sent to complete the work were a pleasure to work with: both very professional and skilled, they did the work efficiently and completed the job to the last detail. Rich came by at the end of the day to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I subsequently asked Rich for an estimate to paint the rest of my interior rooms, and I plan to have him do that work over the course of the next months.

I call to schedule the work and had an appointment in 5 days. The painters, Josh and Travis, were timely in their arrival and very courteous. I had the room ready for them to start. They quickly started to prep walls, floors, baseboards and trim with tape, paper and drop cloths for painting. They guys worked quitely even when they played some music from their cell phones. After the first coat they took a 15-20 minute break to let the paint dry and then applied the second coat. When they completed the painting they had me review their work and then cleaned up after approval. Josh and Travis were polite, helpful, efficient and tidy. They did a good job! Thanks for the service and I will call again.

Rich is a very nice guy to work with. He is professional and responsive. Pros: -The painters were hardworking and professional. -Overall quality of the work was good. -No spills or paint splatter. -Very reasonable price with the Angies list deal, including extra payment for a few hours beyond what was covered by the deal. Cons: -The painters arrived 2 hours later than scheduled. I was notified that they would be late, but within an hour of scheduled arrival. It didn't cause me a problem in this case, but certainly could have. -I've noticed a couple of small areas that didn't get complete paint coverage. It will only take me a couple of minutes to touch up these spots, so no big deal, just want to be complete with the review.

punctual and excellent quality job

I seemed to have slipped through the cracks when it came to getting me on the schedule initially. I had to recontact a few times but always received a response back. I was not told a crew (of 2) would be doing the work rather than the person I had been in contact with so that was a bit surprising when I opened the door. The crew was polite and skilled and cleaned up very well. They returned the next morning to finish and I was happy with the work overall however, they did not concern themselves with covering the old color along edges and corners. I would have liked them to talk with me about the options re the old color. Perhaps I could have paid a little extra to have them cover in white as appropriate or simply ask them to cover the old color regardless of it going outside of the normal area. Overall it was so nice to have someone else do the painting that I'm generally happy but I will address the old color issue with them in the future.

I needed a rush paint job ... the company quickly arranged an estimate followed by a quick response to my schedule request. All arount excellent experience.

We purchased a "painter for a day" deal and what we got were two of the best painters EVER for half a day. Josh and Travis are two young men who are brothers, Army veterans, very clean-cut, extremely personable and professional. They surveyed the job of painting our family room and immediately went to work. They worked together so well and completed the job to perfection. We especially appreciated how much care they took to protect our hardwood floors and furniture. It was easy to work with this company to find a date that worked for them and for us. We recommend this company with our highest recommendation and rate them an 11 on a ten scale for hiring these two veterans who just happen to be great painters.

Went great. Rich showed up when he said he would, gave me the best price, and the job started and finished on time. Seriously, no problems. Out of the whole house I found only two very small errors, which he offered to fix (I took care them because it took me less time to touch up than it would have taken for me open up the door to let his guys in). If I my next house needs painting, Rich will get the job.

The workmanship was very high quality; holes were patched and the lines were very clean. We were quite pleased with the end result.

This deal worked out very well. The work was done as promised and the worker was professional.

I emailed Rich on a Friday and he sent two of his top painters on Monday. I provided the paint and they provided the supplies. They were very efficient and fast. I was originally only going to do about 4-5 walls but asked if they could do a few more once I saw how professional they were and they did not hesitate. I will be using them again in the future for any other paint jobs.

I called Rich requesting an appointment for a quote and within a week the work was done. He was very accomodating and professional. Rich definantly under promised and over delivered. His qoute was spot on with no complications or unexpected issues. His painters were very professional, clean and respectful.
