Rich was great. I called him on a Sunday and he got back to me that afternoon; he came to bid out the job the next day in spite of having had some car trouble. He was friendly and knowledgable and put me at ease. The guys came to paint last week and did a good job. They gave me time to inspect every room and touched up anything that I thought wasn't 100% perfect. They were punctual, professional, and our rooms look great!

Recommended higher quality paint and we're happy with the result and the quality of the finish. Clean up was very thorough. Certainly helped sell our home quickly this Summer. Wish he had returned to stain the pergola. But that was a separate estimate.

The two men who painted did an outstanding job. They were quick, clean, and professional. I was very impressed with their edging around my wood trim, in particular. The painting occurred about one month ago and I have never noticed any mistakes or missed spots. My only complaint with the company was trying to get something scheduled. I purchased one of the Big Deal coupons and it seemed like they got hit with more business than they could handle/schedule at the time. It took about a week to get the owner to even schedule something. Then, there was a scheduling snafu and the painters got sent to the wrong house on the day they were scheduled to work for me, so they were 2 hours late. However, I would hire them again because the quality of the painting was so good. I just don't think these Angie's List Big Deal coupons are worth it if you have a time constraint on getting work done.

The contractor, Rich Lyons, was not willing to meet with me in person to discuss my painting needs and I do not hire people that I cannot meet in person. He wanted to communicate via Angie's List e-mail instead so he would have written documentation of our conversations. This was very time-consuming for me. I finally got him to call me but he was more concerned about how much it would cost him in gas money (said he only makes $6.00 per coupon) to drive over and meet with me in person. I am in the process of painting the entire interior of my townhome and need someone to do some of the painting for me (such as the stairwell). If he had taken the time and paid the extra cost in gas money, I may have hired his company to paint the entire interior and he would have, in turn, recovered his costs in both gas and time. With this coupon, I thought I would have him start with the living and dining rooms and possibly the stairwell but I was unable to get him to commit to how much painting his company would be able to accomplish in 7.5 hours - especially since he would not come over to visually see what I was talking about. This, to me, is unacceptable. I have never had a contractor verbally tell me they were more concerned about how much money it would cost them to come to my house to discuss my concerns. I struggled to comprehend why this contractor would not go above and beyond to satisfy the customer's needs and why he was more interested in getting a date scheduled on his calendar and saving gas money rather than helping me figure out how much paint to purchase, etc. I also like to meet the contractor I'm hiring and talk to them, get all my questions answered and know what to expect from them as well as what they expect from me. Communicating via e-mail is not acceptable to me, especially when I hire a contractor from Angie's List.

Two painters came. They were both professional and easy to work with. I was pleased with the work they did.

Their were 2 painters. They arrived on time and worked efficiently, professionally and cleaned everything up perfectly!

Travis and Josh showed up on time and with all their supplies except paint, which I provided. (Rich, the owner, supplied his discount code to use if I wanted to purchase paint at Guiry's but I opted for a paint store closer to home.) The young men were friendly but wasted no time getting down to business. They painted an accent wall in my living room and my master bedroom in just about 3-1/2 hours. Everything is well done, and there was no mess left behind. I will definitely be calling A Brush with Success for additional painting jobs.

Love Rich and his team. They always do a fantastic job and I will continue to use them in the future for my painting needs!

Rich and his crew were extremely professional and courteous from the initail bid through the end of the project. Rich came out to look at the job to be done then emailed a bid shortly thereafter. The scheduling process was very smooth. As soon as we selected a date, the crew asked if they could come the day before to pressure wash the exterior (this was included in the special we purchased). They returned the next morning and prepped all work to be done (caulking where necessary, etc) and then painted. Afterwards, they cleaned up and left not a trace. The crew was professional and courteous and performed all duties as promised in the bid. The quality of the paint job was very impressive. I will admit that I was initially hesitant to hire this company due to some mixed reviews on this site but our house needed painting badly and so I took a chance. I cannot be more pleased that I gave Rich and his crew our business. We decided we would like one section of the house to be re-painted a shade lighter and have asked Rich to come out again to give us a bid on this smaller project. Needless to say, we are going to use them again. I had a very positive experience with Rich and his crew and would recommend them to others.

Painters did a good job. The condo had living/dining room, kitchen, bath, and bedroom painted. Also did a good job on some drywall repair to ceiling and wall.

Rich was very responsive to my messages. Although he was about to go on vacation, he was able to provide a bid and arranged for 2 painters to do the job in one day. I had to be out of town on business, but they went in, completed the job in 1 day (although 2-3 walls required 3 coats) and cleaned up after themselves. When I got back to town and inspected their work, everything was well done, very neat and precise (important as I have a lot of floor-to-ceiling windows and extensive trim work) and very tidy - no drips, no spots, no paint residue in the sinks, no trash left behind. The price was a bit high, but the house was in desperrate need of clean walls, so I appreciated the extra effort and professional response.

The painters were under a time constraint as carpet was to be put down the following week. It went fairly well. They spray painted mostly every surface which was unexpected. I guess it is because the walls have a texture and rollers may not have worked well. Any issues I saw were addressed. Like painting the bathroom color in the kitchen. They did a great job of protecting our newly finished floors. All in all the house looks great.

Except for some minor miscommunication around the amount of time the painters worked and what we paid for, great experience, would use again.

They did a very nice job. Quick, clean, and efficient. The guys went above and beyond. They offered to clean up edging from my husband's earlier paint job -- which turned out great. Thanks.

It was a great experience! The owner was very accommodating with our time frame and his two employees showed up right on time and were very professional. They worked very hard all day and did a great job. Left everything very clean. We would/will definitely use the, again!!!

Overall, just fine, some details were overlooked.

Good experience. The painters didn't have rollers so that slowed down the process. Some additional up front communication (including sharing of cell phone numbers) would have made this better for everyone.

Everything went well. The only problem was trying to figure out an exact date for him to come. I guess his schedule was full and he couldn't really tell me an exact date. It didn't bother me much because I'm pretty open ended but it bothered my wife a lot. Overall, he did a fine job. The trim is professional looking. He was super fast. It took 2 hours and he was done. The painters came, got the paint, and went straight to work. No mess, no ugly clean up. Suggestion: Try to get into the drywall and stucco repair business. It would be good for the company. Also, see if you can get a smartphone so you can respond to emails on the fly.
