We had a horrendous lithium battery explosion on 11/9/22... fortunately we made it safely out of our home and God willing distinguished the fire and explosions. Unfortunately the damage due to smoke, chemicals, flames, etc. was so bad we had to be out of our home for 8 long months as the battery manufacturer was litigated, insurance red tape and finding multiple contractors to help mitigate, clean, demo and rebuild. We interviewed 4 Fire mitigator companies to understand their process, equipment, team of employees (not temp workers), if they had an actual fire division, length of experience and online ratings. This was. Tough process on top of insurance headaches, my families PTSD, losing everything for months and trying to work, BUT Chris Buxman with Service Master was/is the way to go. If you find yourself in this predicament, it's tough, there is no handbook, not many go through this and your insurance adjuster/agent really isn't much help. Was everything perfect, nah. We're there at times moments I had to follow up, yes. BUT, that is completely normal in this day in age with anything in this field due to red tape, and consider construction contractors, same thing. Did they exceed my expectations and given it was a whole home of stuff was 98-99% done great? YES! I can't ask for more than that and This team was one of the only contractors to actual display empathy due to what we continued to go through. If I could do it all over again which I never want to, I would choose this crew again. Chris Buxman is amazing and his team. They cared about us and our home. They were extremely fair, courteous, they get it, things were better vs. before and after my wife and kids feel safe. I can't ask for more and this was my hope. Reach out to me if you are going through this and have questions, wish I would have had an ear and perspective vs. journeying alone.

He did a marvelous job! Every part of the job from beginning to end was done well. He was attentive to every detail that was required, contained the mess, was very communicative, and we were extremely pleased with the work!
Description of Work: He came out on a Sunday to clean up and drain water out of our basement.
