At first we were pleased with Rick and his employees. We had quite a lot of granite installed in our home that we were building. When we first requested a bid, we emailed him that the small sink in our coffee bar had wall mounted faucets. When the guys came out to make templates, the rough in plumbing was very evident on the wall above the sink. But the workers overlooked this and cut the opening for the sink in the wrong place. Rick offered to pay the plumber to reconfigure the plumbing. We were not interested in this because we couldn’t return the rough ins or the faucet, we liked the old world look of the wall faucet and we wanted the sink to be accessible from both sides of the pass through. Rick agreed to fix his workers mistake and we were very satisfied, although this did delay our timeline for getting our C.O. During the time they were installing, we discovered a small mistake with the granite in our master shower. Jonathan agreed that it was a mistake made in the template, and that it would be fixed. No one ever came and fixed it. I sent an email to Rick about it. He ignored the email. We decided that it was a small problem, so didn’t take the time to follow up. Another (bigger) reason we are disappointed is that when we finally had both the time and money to get shower glass installed, the glass guys pointed out that some granite in the master shower was installed improperly. It would affect how the door would function. A notch would have to be cut out of the glass door. The granite was supposed to be flush with the wall framing, but extended slightly on one corner and 1/4” on the other. The glass guys said they’d seen this problem before and the granite guys could fix it by taking off a little on the corner. When I contacted Rick about fixing it, he said he would charge us $150. I explained again that it was an install error. He ignored that email. I didn’t want him to continue to ignore me, so I asked that the problem be fixed or I would have to write a review detailing our disappointment or contact BBB. He then said I was threatening to ruin his good name. I don’t see how my telling folks what he refused to fix is ruining his name. His unwillingness to fix his workers’ mistake is what ruins his good name.
