He was very knowledgable about the brick and mortar. He knew what the problem was and how to fix it. He did not think that his guys could do the repair based on the age and damage of the structure. He gave me a referral and was very pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend him.

They showed up on time, was able to get an appointment rather quickly and the service technician was knowledgeable.

Great experience. Alex gave us an estimate for the work and was very friendly and professional. My only concern was timing as the repair was needed before our house closed in a few weeks. Alex and Jeanette worked with their schedule to ensure the work was completed before our closing. I appreciate that they cared enough to accomodate our needs. Alex did a great job and I wish I'd done this work years ago. They followed up with a thank you note.

All and all, everything was handled extremely well....from start to finish. Even mailed us a Thank You note following the appointment with our receipt enclosed.

They were really good. He was very punctual and he got the job done. He did it nicely and cleaned up.

We had scheduled an afternoon appointment so that I could be here during the work, but unfortunately the crew came in the morning and were finished and gone by the time I arrived home. When I looked at the tuckpointing, I could see gaps on several surfaces where the mortar was not evenly applied. The overall appearance was not neat and finished. I called the company', and the crew returned shortly and applied more mortar to the gaps. Now the chimney looks tidy and well-finished. I would have appreciated them arriving at the scheduled time, and doing the job more thoroughly the first time. The crew explained that although I had requested that the chimney be swept, it looked very clean when they inspected it from the rooftop, and a sweep was unnecessary. I appreciated their integrity in not charging me for an unneeded service. All the people I interacted with at Chimney Jack, both by phone and in person, were courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful.

The bad smell continued. Also, my top flu didn't open on one occasion (during a fire, which resulted in a lot of smoke in my house..most likely due to my very wet dirty wood i was burning). Chimney Jack came out the next day and replaced the top flu with a simple cap, cleaned my fireplace and emptied my ash dump. The smell is gone (I suspect it was my ash dump). Fantastic service and very professional. I couldn't be more happy with the responsiveness and the results. They definitely stand behind their service. I highly recommend them! Everyone was stumped and with a few tries we got to the bottom of the issue.

I had a good experience with Chimney Jack. Last spring Tracy came out to give me an estimate for rebuilding part of my furnace chimney that had crumbled. He did a visual inspection of the outside and also made sure I didn't have any water damage yet in the portion inside the house. He also agreed to do an inspection of an unused fireplace chimney and gave me several options on what could be done with that (cap, line and/or add a damper). I called in the fall to have the furnace chimney repair work done. They were booked out about a month at that point. They kept to the week they gave me on the phone and called to confirm the day the week prior. The guys that came out were punctual, professional and the chimney is now back to normal (with new blond bricks that match the old ones). Tracy's estimate was right on.

My 110 year old house has brick foundation walls which have deteriorated over the years on the inside. I hired Chimney Jack to stucco some of the walls to stabilize the brick. They were very accommodating to my needs and schedule. e.g. I needed to coordinate with the plumber who came out to move the hot water heater and then return it when they had completed the wall behind it. Tracy, the estimator, came out again to estimate after I added some additional work to the order. The three young men who did the work were competent, on time and cleaned up before they left. I am completely satisfied with the work.

I have an 80+ year old house that had never had any brick repair work done on it. There were holes in the mortar a small critter could fit through (and probably has in the past). My estimate was given promptly and Tracy went ahead and checked my fireplace out for me before I even awarded him the job. The workers were very efficient and pleasant. I would certainly recommend them.

We used them in about 2006 and we had problems with it. We called them back and showed them that they did the work before and that it hadn?t held up. They were very accommodating and they came and did the work correctly. I think they had used a subcontractor and they weren?t aware that the job had been done improperly. We were upset at first but then we were happy that they did the work right the next time. They could have tried to blow us off and put us on the back burner but they didn?t and they were appalled about what had been done. We got a couple of other quotes that were way more so I think the price was fair.

Overall it went well, they were prompt and courteous, but some of the reset stones are now not quite flush with the others. Before the reset, although they were loose, they were flush.

Good. He provided and inspection and quote first. He was knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to us, which I really like. It must have been busy though, because it sort of took a long time for him to come do the work. Since the work was all exterior and was a quick job, he said he would drop in sometime soon and do the work instead of scheduling a date. After a couple weeks (maybe more) I thought he had forgotten us, but then we received a courteous call indicating that he would be in the area the next day to complete the work...that was nice. The work, as far as we can tell, was great. No complaints. Very nice to work with.

Arrived on time. Did the job and cleaned up after themselves. It works fine. No complaints.

It was during the winter and we use the stove for heat so the house was cold. I had thought I needed a stove company but could not find one serving my area of town. Tracy Zimmer from Chimney Jack was able to make the needed repairs and we were able to use our stove again quickly. He was pleasant and friendly and got the job done. We recommend him highly.
