During my job he had sold his business without my knowledge but continued to do the work. I believe that it has been dissolved and that it no longer exists. He sold it to another company. I spent quite a bit. At least the block wall stayed up. They were a little over priced after I started talking to the other landscapers. He kept on wanting more and more money from me. I could not get him to come out and look at some work that was shoddy. I called him quite a few times, at least half a dozen times since the job was completed and he did not come out. He told me that if I tell anybody anything then he will slander and take me to the court. He was a real jerk. I hired him in April and the job was probably done in May but it went on to be completed in June because I kept telling him about it. He seemed very unprofessional. I will never use him again in the future. He had a person come out to do my back steps and my back steps separated from the house after a month. They have shrunk about two inches. The breezeway came apart and it was a big mess. The stepping stones going up the breezeway have all fallen apart. I have told him that. The plants that he brought were so bad that they started to die right away. He was supposed to come and replace them. He was also supposed to come and look at the work. Once he moved on to his new job he just said heck with me and that he did not know that company any more. He also said that he did not owe me any warranty work. He told me to not bother him at work otherwise he would take me to the court. The job finished in June and in one month everything looked terrible. It was extremely frustrating. I have made quite a few attempts to contact him until he threatened me with an attorney. I am under a lot of medications and I don’t need this stress in my life. It is just like I don’t want to deal with him anymore as it is a mess. I kept calling him and he would not return my calls. I took a chance in calling his new employer to see if he was there. I tricked the girl in transferring my call to his department and he happened to pick up his phone. So, I talked to him probably in September. I am not under any litigation with him and I was thinking about it but I was not that well enough to do it. I lost my husband this year and I have been going through a lot. I have taken pictures of his work and so, I have plenty of photos. It was a disaster. I should have used Angie’s List but I was not even thinking about that. I found them through word of mouth. Someone knew him from sports and said that he was a good person but being a good person does not necessarily mean that he can do good work. He was supposed to start the work on the 25th of April but ended up coming in May.
Description of Work: I used the services of Southwest Lawn and Landscape in June 2011. He did my total lawn including the total back and front yards. He had to grade my yard and put in a boulder wall. He sprinkled my lawn, a breezeway glen up my slope and a 15 by 16 paver patio with the walk way. He also did the trees and bushes that died. I was going to send him a certified letter myself as soon as I felt a little better. I will give him an ultimatum as to whether he wanted to come and take care ot it or send someone and pay for it or end up in small claims. I could see it if it was three or four years down the road but it was just a month into it and it all started coming apart. It is right here for anybody to come and see that it is not right.
