Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We have used Roto-Rooter for 20+ years and have always been happy with their service, but onight I was completely shocked by the price difference since the last time I used them, it was $100 more. We have them come out roughly once a year and have never thought twice about calling them, however after the incredible price difference I will definitely call and get price quotes before I select my next plumbing service. The technician was very professional; he has been here before and took great care of me tonight including giving me a discount for an online coupon. The service was up to the standards that we have come to expect as long time customers, but sadly the price issue is enough to keep me from making them my first call from now on. The technician was prompt, pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable of our system since he had been here several times before. I can recommend Rotor-Rooter as a reliable, pleasant and efficient company, but be aware to check the price before or be prepared for a shock like I was.

It was great and they did a good job. They stand behind their work. They have the largest blade in town. They are good at what they do and I can count on them.

Juan Lightfoot came and ran my mainline to remove a sewer back up. He was very informative and funny and removed the roots out of line. After he was done he ran a camera in line and showed how bad my line is. Overall I was very satisfied with the work performed.

Had a backup sometime last night which caused some flooding in basement. Called Rotor Rooter about 8 AM and a technician showed up about 9:15 AM. We discussed the possibilities of what may have caused the backup. Tried to recreate the backup but nothing happened. The technician (Michael Vossberg) explained to me what all the different possibilities that might have caused the backup and what course of action to take. We could leave it as is as it could have been a one time thing; have the pipe scoped; or to have the sewage line snaked and see if anything was blocking the line. I decided to have him snake the line and he did find some roots in the line. He discussed with me some precautionary measures to deal with roots in the sewage line that would help from reoccurrence of this problem. Have used Rotor Rooter before and for the most part my experience with them has been great. They are professional and always explain and discuss course of action to take.

Service was an emergency. Came on-time. Service was provided in professional manner. Had good equipment to do the job; as such, were able to get my sewer line back in service very quickly and with very little mess. Yes, they may cost a little more than others however, service and response was excellent.

The flooding accured the night of July 2 2014. The next morning I called Roto Rooter. We had tried to clean up the mess ourself. He told use to stop becuse the water had surage water in it. and seek professional Cleanup,which we did. This being my frist overflow of this magitude I did not know who to call. I was given the name of serval companies to choose from. .

They were responsive. I probably would not use them again. My sewage pump went out over the 4th of July. When he came out, he had the wrong parts. He finally got the parts and dropped it. He broke all of the work that he had done. He had to re-do it all and it took him about three days to do it. Instead of it taking a couple of hours.

I am very satisfied with the service and would definitely use Bill from the Town Center Roto Rooter again. See above for details.

Quick and friendly service! Also, when I called them they returned my call immediately to let me know that they were closed but the service guy would call me first thing the next morning :)

I am a Association Manager for a 36 unit Condo complex. I got a call about 10:00 pm there was a sewer back up in one of the three buildings on the complex and two of the two units on the bottom floor were having sewage backing up in their bathtubs and toilets. Called Roto Rooter and they told me there would be a charge for after hours service and the plumber was thirty minutes away. I told them to send a plumber and the after hour fee would be acceptable. Dispatch said plumber would arrive at 11:00 pm. Plumber arrived at !!:00 pm. Plumber then found out back up was in all four bottom units. He proceeded to snake the drain. The water cleared out of the backed up units. He then used the camera to view the drains to make sure they were cleaned. He found that even though the water had cleared there was still a blockage in the pipes. He change the snake head and was able to root the lines again and clear the clog of baby wipes and grease until it was all gone. He used the camera a last time to make sure the pipes were completely cleared. I was very impressed that the plumber stayed until the all the pipes were completely cleared out instead of just rooting the pipes until the water drained and calling it good. He was there until 1:30 am. Have not had anymore sewer problems.

We had to dig up the line and replace it and they suggested putting in a pump out trap for future use, which we did.

I was very happy someone was available on a holiday. I called in the middle of the night expecting a answering machine but got a real person. Made a appointment for first thing, received call 30min before tech arrived. Chris Wright showed up as planned, took care of problem quickly and efficiently. Was very pleasant to work with.

I will never use this company again and neither will anyone in my immediate family or friends

At first, I was very pleased with promptness and supposed dedication to the work required. I am a widow and have to rely on my own judgement when it comes to household matters. The workers that did all of the hard labor were very nice and seemed to really care about this job. after a day and a half of digging and replacing pipes, I had an approx. 6 ft deep hole in my front yard. I watched them replace about 1/2 if the dirt that they had dug out and haul the other half away. I figured they were waiting for it to settle and then would return to refill again. We had tons of rain that week and my hole kept sinking more and more. I called them several times about it and didn't get much action, which turned out to be a good thing. When my yard company came to mow my yard ( colorado stoneworks and landscaping ) they informed me that, in the process of digging, my sprinkler line had been cut and approx. 18 inches of line was missing, so when my sprinklers were running late at night, it was just pouring water into this hole. I can understand how this sort of thing could happen when they were digging, but why did they not at least tell me, so I was aware. After looking at the work, it was obvious, even to me, that the line was broken and needed repaired before the hole was refilled. The same day that I had scheduled my sprinkler repair to be done, mysteriously, that hole was filled to the brim with land fill, not dirt but land fill. They had to do this very early in the AM, before I was even up, because I did not see or hear any of it. When my sprinkler repair arrived at 10:00 am, he had to remove all of the "crap" that had been dropped in this hole to get to my broken line. After he dug and dug, he arrived at the broken line and commenced to fix it. I have talked with the owner of Colorado Landscaping and he said the line was definitely severed during sewer repair, so when Roto Rooter filled in the hole for the final time, they knew that they were just covering up broken sprinkler line. The gist of this is, why did they not inform me from the beginning that the line was damaged ? If it were not for my lawn people , I would be running sprinklers that were just emptying water in to hole, my yard would look awful and my water bill would be out of sight.. All I wanted was honesty. Have not received the bill yet for the sprinkler repair, so I am not sure how I will handle that.

The technician, Craig Wright, was fantastic as always. He has visited our house off and on over the years and is always punctual, amiable and VERY knowlegeable in diagnosing and remediating the problem. He job was very physically demanding and he carried through with the work with no complaints or hesitation- all the while assuring us he would get the problem resolved- which he did. He will continue to be our special request "go to guy" for our service through Roto Rooter.

It was excellent! They know what they are doing. They are a happy bunch! I was surprised. They brought in a big piece of equipment and they had to dig up our front yard and they were very careful with our landscaping. We also had to have asphalt replaced. It was a very smooth job. I would recommend them! They are a well-known company. I was very, very pleased! They were one of the best companies I have dealt with recently. I used to be in customer service and they lived up to my expectations.

They had to go under the deck and shoot a liner in so they didn’t have to mess up the deck. They did an awesome job! We were very happy with it. I can’t say anything bad about them. They did everything good!

I have used them several times over the past 10 years. It’s always turned out great!

Our septic tank backed up and we noticed at 9pm on a Sunday night. I called Roto-Router (by the way, don't be fooled by the local number, it is dispatched to Chicago or somewhere far away). They didn't charge extra for the late night call or weekend call. The lady on the phone said he would be there between 11pm and 2 am. He showed up a few minutes after 11pm, took a look at what was going on and told us what need to be done and how much it would cost. It was 4250, and he took the $40 off coupon from their online website. He was all done by 1am. I would definitely use them again!

They gave an estimate that was almost $8000.00 and included things that did not need to be done. They said the piping all the way to the street had to be replaced and they showed us what appeared to be an extensive root blockage. By manipulating the diagnostic camera, for $150, they made it appear to be a total obstruction of the pipes. Another company, Olson Plumbing & Heating Co, came out and did the same diagnostic procedure and diagnosed the problem as a root ball. We went with Olson’s and it cost us $135.00.

I was displeased with Roto Rooter and wrote a review stating that I was not pleased. I have used Roto Rooter many times in the past at this address and at my own home with no problem. The problem this time was that I was not given all the options available to me. After writing an unfavorable review. I was contacted by a service manager to follow up on my complaint. He explained that Rotot Rooter could have provided the service that was successfully performed by another company. I explained that I was not offered that option by the service technician who came on the call. He apologized, offered me a refund and said that he would speak to his service providers and let them know that they should let the customer know of ALL the options. I appreciate the follow-up and will try using Roto Rooter again.

When I called Roto Rooter, the receptionist was very nice. Within 10 minutes, Jay called me and said a technician would be at my house within 40 minutes. Sure enough, Steven showed up. He was very nice and helpful and explained what he was doing and how much it would all cost. I really liked him and was very appreciative he came out on a Sunday. I would definitely use Rotor Rooter again.

Main sewer line backed up into the basement and lower level bathroom. Called Roto-Rooter, they had 2 service techs at my door in under an hour on a Saturday. Techs found sewer line had tree roots blocking line in several places. They cleaned it out and life is good again. Both techs (Jason and another gentleman whose name I don't recall, sorry) were very professional, explained everything in detail and repeatly asked if there is anything else they could do for me. The also provided some suggestions to help keep the drains line open. I was very pleased with their work.

The experience was just fine and I have no complaint about their service. The price seemed very high. They recommended excavating and replacing the broken section of sewer pipe outside the house. Given the multi-thousand dollar quote that they gave me, I decided to get a second quote. I managed to get the job done by someone else on Angie's list for significantly less than half of that. Even the charge for just rooting out the sewer was significantly higher than the other company.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services was very good at getting here when I needed them, do their job well, took care of my needs, and the price was appropriate.
