Firstly, for a project of approximately 600 square feet, it should not have taken eight people. Team arrived around 10:30 a.m. on the service date, and within an hour were seen just standing around talking. At one point when pouring one of the smaller areas, I looked out to notice that two individuals and the press were in the herb garden next to the poured area. I asked them about it and in a snarky tone was told "oh, we didn't realize it, but had no choice...ooops". They did not move from that site or make any apology. When I made a remark that I didn't believe what they said, and returned to the home, I heard them speak in Spanish, and then they used a derogatory term (that I know) about me, and laughed. Then, as they were all packing up to leave, I advised my husband by phone that they had left clumps of concrete throughout the yard and had not picked up materials. Additionally, at this time my neighbor came out to ask why they had a bunch of equipment in his yard and were using his yard to move wheelbarrows to the job site? They did not respond to him with an explanation; and once he went into his home, continued to use his yard for moving equipment. Upon hearing me complain about the concrete clumps, only two individuals hastily cleaned those up, while everyone else sat in their trucks. As they were leaving, one individual came to my door demanding a check. I told him the project was contracted with the contractor, and they had performed a horrible job, and I would not be giving them anything. He said, with a smirk on his face, that was 'the way it is' and left. I inspected the property after everyone departed and noted that the hose was left on, the concrete on the patio was poorly stamped, and there were beer can thrown under my deck. Shortly after this, we had rain come through, and immediately noted that the concrete had been poured so that it pooled next to the foundation. Once my husband came home and inspected the work, we contacted the contracted who the next day inspected the situation, and concurred with the poor job. He is in the process of tearing up the concrete to re-pour himself. I have a destroyed herb garden, a patio which had to be redone, was treated rudely and with vulgar language, drinking on the job, minimal clean up, etc. I do not know for how much the contractor contracted the project with this company, so cannot give a cost of service for Pilar. We have received no apology from the company owner. This company should be out of business.
Description of Work: This company was a subcontractor hired by the contractor to the concrete project at our home. It was utilized to pour and stamp the concrete for patio and retaining areas.
