I found Krackers phone number in the DEX yellow pages and called for an estimate. Rob was 10 min away and asked if he could come over right then to review my problem. I agreed and he arrived 10 min later. After approx 30 min he had taken his measurements and pictures and told me he would email the estimate within a couple of days. (Side note: he had his dog with him and asked if I could refill a water bottle with cold water. When I inquired if he would like some for his dog, he told me that the bottle WAS for his dog. I liked him a lot then being a dog lover myself). Anyway when the estimate did not show up in my inbox after 3 days, I called back thinking Rob had an incorrect address for me. He promptly verified my email address and determined that his provider had messed up, then resent the estimate. My husband and I reviewed it, then checked with Angie's List and the BBB. Krackers was not listed on either, but I liked Rob and the estimate was reasonable so I emailed back with the proposal acceptance. Rob set up the work to be done two days later, requesting that the only prep work I needed to do was move all items in my garage away from the walls and off the expansion joints. This I did the evening before Rob was due to start work. He had given me an arrival time window of between 10am and 12pm, expected to do the garage in the afternoon and finish the driveway the next day. Well and good, but when he hadn't arrived by 12:40pm, I phoned him and was told he had been delayed on another job, but was on his way. He arrived at approx 1:20pm and began work in the garage. He was very thorough, carefully cleaning dirt, grit and dog hair out the joints, applying the Sikaflex caulk, then putting sand down to help cure the compound. I couldn't complain about the work itself, but it was 6pm before he finished the garage. I still had to put all my stuff back against the walls so I could park my car back in the garage. Rob completed the driveway the next day while I was at work. He did a beautiful job fixing the cracks and my only complaint was the time. Perhaps we miscommunicated the time needed to complete the job, but I guess I kinda expected Rob to begin earlier in the day and finish by the end. I was mildly miffed that this wasn't the case. If I need Rob's services again, I'll make sure to get the first appointment of the day. Overall, the completed work looks very well done and our driveway and garage floor are now protected from the winter storms.
