It went Amazing. I called for a quote in May, and they promptly called me back and said, it was summer, busy time, rain had caused some delays, but Jak would get to me as soon as he could. About a week later he came by, did his measurements and such, and I received an estimate the following week. I agreed and I believe we began work in Jun. The large dump truck came and the crew came the following day. I was introduced to the super, and he explained everything they would be doing. I was told to remove paintings and such off the outside wall as the noise and pounding may cause some to fall. I did, but nothing fell or would have fallen as I forgot to remove one painting. They installed the outer layer and the chicken wire. They protected my windows, covering them all up and the front door. They also laid the ground with plastic. They they were gone. The crew was very courteous, respectful and knowledgeable. Everything, they moved was put back in its place each they upon their daily departures. They left no residue of their lunches or drink bottles. Step 1 was complete. On their last day, I thanked them all. Phase 2 - crew came within a week. Nancy called and informed me the rain had caused more delays, and I was fine and told her, I would be here. The second crew came - and begin laying the foundation for the pop outs, and quoins. I was fascinated by the work. They were here for about a week. They laid the first part of the out stucco (laith, I believe is what they called it) This is the concrete mix that goes on before the actual coloring stucco goes on. My home was surrounded by metal barriers and boards for them to walk on to do their job. There was absolutely no horse playing, every was working each and every time I went outside to see how it was going. Again, this crew was polite and courteous. Upon their final departure, the yard was not left with any residue from the concrete. My windows were clean as they had been covered up with plastic. Yard still looked good all around the house. Nancy, then called to explain how the actual color works, and that she would send someone over to put up the colors I chose. This was the most difficult part of the entire process. I was glad the rain had cause the last crew delays as I was not ready to pick colors. Nancy sent the paint guy to do swatches on the wall for me. After about a week, I still couldn't decide. I was a mess. So she allowed me to pick more colors, and he came back and did more swatches on the wall for me. After about another week, I chose my colors. But, while this was going on, I had painters(suggested to have the gutters, downspouts, and soffits painted while the barriers were up as the painters would be able to utilize the ones already in place. There was a long lapse between my phase 2 and final phase due to my indecisions, (totally unable to pick colors). Nancy was patient with me. As Halloween rolled around, I picked my colors and asked if I could just have it done my Halloween since i didn't want anyone to get hurt trying to get to my house. Keep in mind, my doorbell and outside light had been removed during this entire process. Luckily, they got me done a few days before Halloween. I could not stop looking at my new home. My neighbors were ascetic. Lot of them thought it was finished during the 2nd phase as that concrete had been up there for at least a month, but it was getting compliments undone (if you will). Upon completion, everything was back in it's proper place. When the inspector came by, he asked me questions about the crew, etc. I had nothing but absolute "good" comments to give him. All three crews were very professional, courteous, and helpful in explaining things to me. Bottom Line, totally-completely satisfied with the work. It turned out better than I thought it would. Jak came around for his final inspection after the inspector had come and gone. He noted a few minor things, and the repair guy came out very promptly to take care of them, and to install my outside light and doorbell back. Nancy purchased a new doorbell for me, since mine had cracked - no fault on them or their guys. Everything worked fine, When I finally chose my numbers, I called Nancy, and the repair man was sent out to put them up for me. There was no stone unturned in this job. I respect the company, and all the guys. They all seemed to love what they do. To me, it was like getting a brand new home. Thanks Condor Crew, Nancy, Jak, and Ray. Two thumbs up. Job worth every penny, nickel, and dime.

Called Condor and left a message to ask for a quote to do stucco repair. After about one week the owner's wife called and said her husband would call when he was in our area. It has been about three weeks and have not yet received a call. When I first called, the phone message (as I recall) said repairs would scheduled about 6 weeks out. The point is it certainly seems they are very busy and unable to do repairs. It may make sense to try to contact another stucco repair contractor. I believe past behavior is inductive of future behavior. I contacted two other stucco repair contractors and they were very responsive in making an appointment, giving a quote, and doing a follow up contact. If only Condor was able to be more responsive I could have had another quote.

Some of this members information is inaccurate. He called our business on 2-23-15 and I returned his call the following day at 11:30am and left a message. We would love to help every customer in a timely manner but there are things that effect this goal. We have had several weeks of snowy weather and frigid temps, which brings our business to a halt. We are in very high demand because we provide great quality work and most customers understand and are willing to wait. This member could have contacted us again, to check the status of the estimate, instead of complaining in a review. As the co-owner and president of Condor Plastering Corp., I do feel I could have explained things better to this member. I will cancel the estimate. Nancy Vallez

They got back to me promptly. They reviewed the Stucco Inspection at length and got a letter to us within a couple days, with facts from the state building department to back up their opinion, that the structural that we were being required to make by the relocation company were unnecessary. This will potentially save us a lot of money.
Description of Work: Reviewed an inspection by a local inspector of the stucco of our house required by a relocation company. They then determined that many of the structural changes we were being asked to make were unnecessary. And wrote us a letter.

It is truly our pleasure to help members, not only save money but to lighten their burden. We have done workshops for "home inspectors" to provide the proper information they need to know, when inspecting the stucco on a home. We clarify what is necessary and what is acceptable regarding the condition of stucco. Our schedule is very booked, so even though we weren't able to provide the stucco repair for this member, we were happy to go the extra mile to help and pleased that our efforts were beneficial.

Description of Work: Repaired many large and visually awful cracks all over our 30year old 2story stucco home and front wall. Other stucco companies try to upsell you and convince you to coat the home, paint the home, etc. |Nancy and Jak Valez, the owners of Condor, on the other hand, were prompt and professional. We are military and live out of the area, so they went above and beyond to make extra trips to the house to take dozens of before and after pictures. They worked around difficult Spring weather. Upon completion, Jak personally inspected the repair work and insisted upon further touchups before we were ever asked for ANY $$$. These guys are head and shoulders above their competitors. Hire them for all your stucco needs. They will not take advantage of you and they go the extra mile even on small jobs. |

I called Condor Plastering right after noticing that the the stucco on one section of my backyard wall was cracked and falling apart. After reading reviews about some stucco companies not wanting to take on small repair jobs I was pessimistic. I shouldn't have been. Nancy called me back promptly and Jak came to the house to assess the damage within 24 hours. I had a written estimate by email within a couple of days and the work was started a couple of days after I accepted their very reasonable bid. The completed repair is flawless and they were willing and able to use the leftover acrylic stucco I had so the color match is perfect. They also took the time to find caulk that matches my stucco and repaired a gaping seam between the house and the gate pillar. I know I'll have repair issues come up again in the future and I won't hesitate to call Condor Plastering again.

Jack and his crews were great to work with. Everyone was knowledgeable and professional. Whenever the inevitable problems arose, we were able resolve them quickly and then move forward. We've received lots of compliments on the house and are really enjoying the thermal stability and sold feel that the stucco has given our home. A beautiful job!

Stuccoing a home is a huge project involving most everything on the exterior walls of the house. As a courtesy, we handle the accessories, rather than the homeowner having to hire several more contractors to deal with their lights, downspouts or other things attached to the house. Once in a while, a problem arises but we do our best to take care of it. We are grateful to homeowners who are understanding. Thank you for this wonderful review.

We bought a home that had a stucco crack, which the owner/agent promised to have fixed to our satisfaction. The contractor he hired covered over, but did not texture, the crack, & after two attempts at matching the surrounding stucco, both of which failed, he refused to come back again. A member of our HOA's board recommended Condor Plastering because she'd been so pleased with the work they'd done for her. Jak came out very quickly & had a quote for us within 24 hours. When we called a few days later to schedule the repair Nancy alerted us that there was a chance that our job could be worked in, but that they were very busy for the next two months. Much to our surprise, Ray and his helper came over just a couple of days later & did the job in an hour! The texture & color are perfect, & the bill was only $110.

Jak has been in the stucco field for over 40 years, so his experience is a true asset in determining solutions to stucco issues. We provided another option for this member, to re-stucco the entire area, but it would have cost almost 2 1/2 times the repair estimate. We are happy that we were able to repair the stucco so efficiently and to keep the cost down for the homeowner. A big reason for this is our repairman, Ray; he is very good at repairing stucco, which can be difficult. In stucco repair, matching the existing stucco color is the biggest challenge and it really takes skill to do this. We are very fortunate to have an exceptional repairman, as well as, great, hard working lath & plaster crews. Our workers are the essential key to our business and we are grateful to have them. Part of our company philosophy is to help others and it sure makes us feel good that we can accomplish this.

After initially contacting Nancy Vallez at Condor, we promptly received an information packet containing a letter of introduction and fact sheets explaining the stuccoing process and terminology. The packet also included a color chart and an extensive list of homes in our area that Condor had completed. This list included the address and colors used for each home. This turned out to be a great aid. We had made an initial color selection from the chart, but after seeing various color combinations on actual homes, we completely changed our color combination selection. On the day scheduled for the initial estimate, Jak Vallez arrived on time. He took over an hour with us discussing both the details of the procedure and the various options we could select such as "pop-outs", "belly bands" and other decorative details. We received the estimate via email by late afternoon. Once we had made final arrangements and signed the contract, the lathing crew arrived at the appointed time and began preparing the house. They erected their scaffolding and covered windows, doors, stairs, etc. with plastic for protection. The actual lathing process went quickly and efficiently. The crew was very courteous and proficient. The first half of the contract payment came due upon completion of the lath installation. The actual stucco is applied in two layers. The first coat is very heavy. The stucco crew was very hard working and tried hard to make a messy process as neat a possible. The second layer is lighter and is the color coat. The crew worked well with the painters and gutter installers to coordinate their efforts. As a result the gutter installers and painters were able to use the same scaffold as the stucco team. This saved us several hundred dollars. It must be no colder than the mid-forties to apply stucco. We had good weather for the lathing and initial stucco work. Then the weather turned cold. This ended up adding two to three weeks to the project. We might have three or four days of sub-forties temperatures, hence no work. As soon a the temperatures got to the mid-forties plus, the stucco crew would arrive and work like Trojans. The only problem occurred on the final day. The crew got in a hurry to finish up and ending up taking some of our items when they packed up, while leaving some of their gear. We called Nancy Vallez about this and the problem was addressed. One note, if you want something coordinated or done talked to Nancy. She is the go-to person and the one who keeps all the balls in the air. We are very pleased with Condor's work and highly recommend them.

Stuccoing an existing home is quite an undertaking but such a smart solution for a siding material, especially in Colorado's climate at elevation. The Tilley's home was no exception; a very big home improvement project. Weather is a big factor, so stuccoing a home in the Winter is challenging. It can be done but we have to be very cautious with temperatures. We needed to finish the Tilley's home to get to another job in the area, while we had warm enough temps in the middle of January. Regarding the homeowners items, this was construction material (2 x 2 OSB pieces) and our plasterers did not know that they were the homeowners. We use this material, so our guys thought they belonged to Condor. Once we knew about the error, we cut a new sheet of OSB and delivered the pieces to them. We are blessed with work and grateful for terrific customers like this member, who helped us complete 2012 with great success. We are a small company and both Jak and Nancy wear many hats in our business but I like their suggestion to visit the job more often. If Jak had more time, we would inspect our jobs after every phase; something to work on. Maybe if our son, Brian, would work more for Condor, we could accomplish this (he's a painter).

The stucco on our home is roughly 10 years old. Due to original questionable workmanship as well as weather conditions when it was applied, years of weathering, and some dwelling (Deck) settling have resulted in numerous cracks and loose areas of the stucco that developed through the years we have lived in our home. I contacted 4 different companies for estimates on our repair needs. Three of the 4 provided us with estimates after looking at our needs. The 4th company said they didn't do stucco repairs, but suggested I contact Condor Plastering since they do stucco repairs as well stucco on new and existing homes. We contacted them and they too reviewed our repair needs and provided us with a quote. After spending some time reviewing each quote for what they intended to do in repairing the stucco defects and costs to do it I chose Condor Plastering. Condor has specialist person, Ray, who does nothing but repairs. He carried out and completed all the rework originally specified in Condor's quote as well as a couple other things I requested as he was working on our job. One of his major tasks was to try to match the color and texture of our weathered stucco finish. In the first attempt the texture was fine, but the color match between the repaired areas and our existing color was way off. I brought this issue up with Condor's owners, Jak and Nancy Vallez, who got with their repair specialist , Ray and worked everything out to our satisfaction. Not until we were completely satisfied did they bill us for their work. Definitely a great outfit to work with.
