This is the customer's opinion of the experience with management of this company. The discussion began in November 2015 once we closed on the house. We had a verbal agreement to do 7 phases of remodeling which would transform an older home. Phase 1 began right after Thanksgiving and we were off to a good start. This coincided with the holiday slowdown for contractors so were were able to make good progress right away. We went back to our residence to pack and prepare to move across the country. We had agreement on the move in date of early December, which would include first 2 floors be ready to receive our home contents. Another words, painting, trim, flooring would be in and the basement would still be in progress. We drove to Colorado and had the moving van lines pull up to the house only to find that our contractor didn't inform us that the house was not ready at all. We couldn't take delivery and had to spend Christmas in a hotel. Christmas came and went costing us thousands of dollars in lodging. The shock came again when we realized that after the holidays the manager/owner booked multiple jobs over ours and started not showing up everyday. He would come tell us how he rescued his old pastor from church and corrected mistakes rather than showing up 5 days a week to finish our house that was in shambles. He would pull his guys from our home to work on multiple jobs. We were not waiting on materials or anything. This is my first point on bad time management by the owner. The following points continue to demonstrate how things went further downhill in my opinion. 1. Regularly brought his kids to our home (the job site) without permission. He had them work on our home to our dismay to install flooring and door hinges. At one point his son threw out window screens by mistake and he had to replace those. A few of the door hinges were installed backwards and one of the other workers had to correct it. As a customer, we are paying for professional skill not children to do this work. 2. Would call time after time and say "can't make it today" and therefore no progress would be made. I have picture after picture showing how they left rooms in our house with their materials and tools and wouldn't show up for days in order to finish another job. We were dropped to the bottom of the priorities to chase other work. Seems to me that a big lucrative job that paid in cash would be plenty of incentive to show up everyday. I have text messages on all of this by the way. 3. He claimed to be our general contractor but then never managed the rest of phase 1. He is NOT a real general contractor so don't fall for that title. I told him I paid for his skills and management. He apologized and said our project and I quote, "blew up". Really? How could you tell after being months late. We scheduled and managed all remaining contractors ourselves. I fired him for the remaining phases and began looking for other recommended contractors to finish the other rooms post Phase 1. 4. I had him sign a Punch-list checklist to show him the remaining work to be completed and get commitment that he would meet the dates he chose. Needless to say we didn't even get through a week before he missed every date. Lesson: When writing a contract, include dates for completion with a penalty fee for not meeting dates. My wife and I first met Erick in 2006 after he did some major remodeling work for us at another home. He helped refinish the original hardwood in most of the home (1962 raised rancher), installed Philadelphia travertine in the kitchen in a stunning, custom mosaic pattern, and completely remodeled two bathrooms to include loads of custom travertine/tile work and installation of a jetted tub. Fast forward to 2012 and nothing has changed since 2006 ... Erick's (and his talented staff's) work is nothing short of phenomenal. We have hired a number of professionals to complete various home projects since we moved to Colorado Springs. However, none are as talented/skilled in their craft as Erick and his brothers/staff (to include JP, Alex, Jamie, Dave, and Jesse). The quality of their craftsmanship, attention to detail, work ethic, values, competitive pricing, and customer service are truly extraordinary. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of all the work Erick and his brothers/staff have performed for us over the years. The hardwood looks amazing in both homes and we still get comments today from people that are floored by the Philadelphia travertine Erick installed in our kitchen in 2006. We honestly cannot think of ANY other hardwood/remodeling professional that we would want to work with in the future. Erick and all the staff at Alles Hardwood Flooring & Remodeling have earned our utmost trust and respect. Highly (and we mean highly) recommended!!!

Absolutely pleased with the price, service and quality of work. Jamie and Jessie installed this floor for Erick and they can take pride in their craftsmanship. Pre-finished wood is not so forgiving during installation but they made it look easy. Erick is easy to work with and is always available by phone. What I also liked was that he didn't pad the price of his materials to make a profit. Based on this job, I have contracted Alles to install tile in my master bathroom, Jack and Jill bath and laundry room.
