DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! In my opinion, the Owner is Unprofessional, a Liar, and will leave you with more to do when he is gone! If you are in Denver, Castle Rock or Colorado Springs...run away and find someone else, even if you have to pay a little more. On the surface, the job appeared to look good, but upon inspection (after job completion)...there were underlying issues which needed attention. The owner is very unprofessional. The owner does not normally return phone calls or e-mails once the project is complete and the customer is unhappy with the work...the owner of this company is like a USED CAR SALESMAN! Additionally, he is disparaging towards veterans; following the letter below, I have attach some e-mail conversations in which he denigrates my military service and trivializes my service disabled veteran status! The following is a copy of the letter that I began to draft following my dissatisfaction: This letter is to inform you about the issues that I have been having with you and your company, and the lack of professionalism as pertains to the work which you have performed at my property and the lack of respect & professionalism normally afforded to a client. You were paid in-full for what was to be a complete and professional job. Upon initial inspection of the work, I was happy with the outward appearance of the tasks performed, but within a two week period of time, I realized that there were underlying issues which needed attention because there was a lack of attention to detail to the underlying materials used and site cleanup. I have, on numerous occasions called and e-mailed with you to resolve the issues but have been continuously ignored and in several instances ? flat out lied to by you. This displays to me, a lack of professionalism, disregard for customer satisfaction, and a total lack of personal fortitude and moral courage. After a review of your website, I find it laughable that you have the gall to state in your PHILOSOPHY, ?To treat others as we want to be treated: treating all of our business associates with respect, fairness, and integrity, caring for and listening to them; professionally serving them; always being a model of working hard and striving toward excellence?. After reading the very rude and snide comments that you have sent both as a response to one of my e-mails and again as a response to a jovial comment that my wife posted on FaceBook while she lay sick in a hospital bed, by the way, her comment was thought to be in the same jovial vein as your comment about ?wanting a free haircut?. You took something from a fun medium and made it into a personal attack in a public forum. During the last week of August / first week of September time frame, I contacted you about several concerns that I had with the service that you provided for us. You were amenable and came to the house so I could show you what I was concerned about. You told me, ?[go ahead, let me know what you concerns are?I don?t take it personally?I want the job to be done right and I want to make sure you?re satisfied]?. I showed you the following (and I have multiple pictures to document these complaints); 1. You left a pile of rock on the back part of my yard which was partially ground into the dirt by the continuous running over by a ?skid-loader?. Your response was to kind of scoff and laugh it off. I was surprised by this, as I have NEVER in over 20 years of home ownership dealt with a contractor who left a mess like that on a job-site at one of my homes. 2. I pulled back some rock in our border area to show that the fabric placed under the rock was not complete?it did not extend all the way to the concrete edging that your company installed (in fact it is 3? away in most places and in several areas there are several square feet of area where there is no fabric under the rock at all), and this, therefore was allowing many weeds to grow all along the inside edge of the border in the exposed soils. At the time, you stated that you ?would come back and spray the area with industrial weed killer and take care of the landscape fabric issues as well?. (This was mid-late Aug or Early Sept) 3. After waiting to hear back from you for over a week, I sent an e-mail to you on September 9th, asking for an update to what would be done and when. In this note, I also asked about service that you were to perform for my neighbors, whom you met with on your previous visit and you told them that you would be back in a day or two to service their requirements. In your response to my e-mail, you were rude and also lied in that you stated, ?I will be out to spray for weeds later this week after any rains in forecast. I can not spray unless I know it won't rain for at least 24 hours. As per Marta I am communicating with her directly through my irrigation tech?. Since that time, I have e-mailed you again with no response, and my neighbor, Marta, has never been contacted by you or any member of your tech staff (nor do they wish to ever be contacted by you now, as they won?t work with your company based on your performance outlined herein). 4. After another week or so, I sent yet another e-mail to you which was never responded to, so I waited yet another week and called to speak with you over the phone (Approx 27 Sept). It was at this time, that you mentioned a personal family crisis?so I completely understood why I had not heard from you?it was during this phone call, that you stated, ? I will be out to your property to take care of the issues No Later Than Sunday or Monday [Sept 29th or 30th]?. I was completely understanding and ready to have the issues resolved, yet you never showed up. Interestingly, when you had previously been to the property (weeks earlier) and guaranteed that you would fix the issues, I asked for two bids on future work that I wanted to have your company do because you seemed at the time, to be a stand-up guy who would make things right. I have asked on at least two separate occasions for those bids in writing and I have never even heard a word about them from you since that day. In retrospect, I should have expected this ?used car salesman, hands washed and done with you attitude?. 5. As of the date of this letter, I have not heard back from you since our phone call on or about Sept 27th, and at this point I don?t really expect to. You sir, have not satisfactorily displayed customer support for a job shoddily done and a job site left for the home owner to clean up. You do not perform to specifications of your contracts, and are child-like in what should be professional responses to customer concerns. You have not corrected your errors due to lack of attention to detail and you have lied about what you have done and will do. A TRANSCRIPT OF SEVERAL EMAIL RESPONSES THAT I HAVE RECEIVED US FOLLOWING ALL OF THE ABOVE: RESPONSE FROM MWL: "...Since your anal retentiveness has outweighed your gratefulness, I will send you and invoice for the what were pro bono sprinkler repairs, and when those are paid in full, then we can talk about doing any additional work. 3 times, at $85 per visit plus parts, which will include 17 emitters at $2.35 each and spaghetti line which I gave , plus the parts for the broken line that I fixed when I was out there the last time?oh, I almost forgot, ?.the extra zone I installed when we were doing your system to begin with..." MY REACTION: ?you said you would come over but never actually coordinated with me about coming over to do the spraying that you said you would do and never actually let me know that you did it?I can?t verify that it was ever done?and there are still green weeds growing in those areas. I spoke to you originally about this within the first 30 days of the job completion?it is now 2 months later because you have done so much delaying?as far as the emitters and line go, you practically forced them on me when I said we had mis-placed the originals (which we have now found) and I know those only cost a few cents a piece ?don?t bother sending an invoice, I have a signed ?paid in full? invoice from you already. The one repair you did for us was done on the same day that I asked you to come to discuss what I was not happy with regarding the landscape paper an pile of rocks left behind?and I know for a fact that Cindy asked you about how to fix it and you volunteered to come take care of it, she did not ask you to come do it?that was nice (I supposed that was because you were going to be here to discuss my concerns anyway), but there was no mention of a charge nor a bill presented?don?t try to go back now just because your p***** that we are not happy. I like your line about me being ?anal retentive?, the seams childish in the same way you attached my wife on FaceBook?not very professional. In your service industry, the customer is usually thought to be right and the service provider doesn?t attack his customers?as a Disabled Veteran, and a United States Marine?I always expect the best and most professional from people. At this point, don?t bother contacting me again?I will fix what I deem requires fixing myself?and I don?t ever want to see you around my property again. NEXT RESPONSE FROM OWNER of MWL: "I cannot believe you threw out the disabled veteran card? You crossed the line there...That is so appalling it makes me sick?I lost my Dad and my brother in combat during the Viet Nam War, and in there memory?.You make me want to puke using your past duty as a discard. You are a disgrace to the uniform and the flag. Good Bye! AND ANOTHER: "...what would my father say to you using your vet status as a discount card? He wouldn't say a thing... He would simply kick your sorry a** and walk away., as I should have..." I AM SHOCKED THAT THIS PERSON HAS BEEN ABLE TO RUN A BUSINESS IN THIS AREA WITH SO MANY VETERANS
Description of Work: Provider was hired to install sprinkler system, decorative concrete edging, decorative rock border, and a dry rock riverbed.
