A Better Garage Door

I emailed their info address and heard back from Mike that evening. He came by the next day and provided us with an estimate. We did a bit of comparison shopping, but called Mike back about four days later. He had two of his crew come out the very next day and take care of everything. They said they'd be there between noon and 2 and arrived at 12:20. They were done by about 2:00.

After experiencing persistent problems with our garage door opener, I contacted this company based upon the reviews on Angie's List. An appointment was set that day and the installers arrived on time. They first evaluated whether the existing opener could be repaired. When they concluded it could not repaired, they professionally and quickly installed a new opener. The entire process was painless.

He did a fantastic job. Arrived on time, explained the work to me, balanced my ancient garage doors, revamped them and really did a professional job.

Our 2-car, automatic garage door started to make squeaky noises after about one year of operation. We use this door for entering and exiting our house as well. Over time the door took longer to open and close and the noise got very loud. It was time for repair because the door would slam down hard and seemed dangerous. I trust Angie's List and was delighted to see an e-mail coupon for repair at $49 which could be redeemed at any time. This was convenient to pay in advance and set an appointment for our availability. Since the price was right, I was prepared to get a hard sell for more services at additional costs. Ths wasn't the case. Our repairman did an effective and efficient repair, left some business cards, then courteously left. After such a pleasant experience with A Better Garage Door, we have renewed our membership with Angie's List and used other coupon offerings to our satisfaction.

The gentleman arrived on time, was very polite, and happy to answer questions. He quickly got our garage door "tuned-up", replaced the old rollers with new nylon ones and made sure all was working well. I don't think our garage door has ever operated so quietly or smoothly. I now have his business card so I can use this company again.

It went pretty well, but sometimes the garage door will not close with the remote now when the sun falls on the sensors.

I actually had pretty limited contact with them because I was sick, so my father dealt with them during the quote and for most of the installation. I did meet the two gentlemen at the end and they were extremely nice. They gave me a card and told me to feel free to call them if anything went wrong or if I had any questions. They said that they would be more than happy to try and help me out, which was very nice of them. My father seemed to really like them when they came out for the quote. They came out the first time when they said they would and it was pretty quick. They were here for twenty minutes and they were able to come in the next day; so it was a really quick turnaround.

Went extremely well. Company is very responsive, on time and provided great service. I thought I needed my doors replaced as well as some of the hardware. However, the technical was hones and advised me of what I needed and didn't try to up sell.

I called Mike in the morning and he came out to adjust/lubricate my garage door that afternoon. He is very professional and courteous. He charged a fair price and I would definately have him come back.

Mike was on time, friendly, and professional. Turns out one of the electric eye sensors was bent and causing some problems. He found it right away, but still took the time to lubricate, adjust, and otherwise tuneup our door. Great job, Mike and thanks!

Put the garage door back on track and got the remote working again.

The entire transaction from start to finish was fine. Mike stayed in touch as the garage door was being ordered and let me know when the work could be done. I have spent many more hours thinking about having this work done than it actually took to accomplish. Very satisfied with the result.

The garage door started making horrible noises when I closed it on a Tuesday afternoon. I called A Better Garage Door because we had used them before for a general service and they had been prompt, reasonable, and professional. I spoke with Mike on a Tuesday and he came the next day. He was on time, explained what was wrong and had the work done within 45 minutes. Mike also asked if I had a few light bulbs so that he could replace the burnt out bulbs in the garage and garage door opener. Mike is very personable and his charges are very reasonable.

From start to finish I was very satisfied with my experience with A Better Garage Door and the owner, Mike Parks. I would use their services again as well as recommend to others. When I called Mike to schedule the work, he returned my calls promtly and made the scheduling process very easy. Mike arrived on time and was a pleasure to work with. He completed all work requested in a timely and efficient manner and the new rollers are very quiet! Mike was easy to work with and professionalism was clearly a quality he honors highly. My garage door was randomly stopping while going up or down. I had it repaired a little less than a year ago by another company.Mike came out took a look at the driver and said that I should have the drive unit replaced. He replaced the drive unit and chain. The garage door was now much quieter when opening or closing, but I was having trouble with the remote not working. Mike came back out and determined there was something interfering with the remote signal (the new drive unit operated on a different frequency than the old unit). Mike changed out the electronics, at no additional charge.

Mike was great-professional, prompt absolutely no complaints.
