Was very honest, informative and professional. Absolutely a company that I would trust to come again and recommend to others.

Even though the work was not done, this was a good experience. The technician came out on time and informed me that the operating system I had could not be replaced with theirs. I decided to get a refund.

He called me with the estimate and did the work.

Showed up as scheduled, completed the install of opener and did the tuneup. A good experience.

After installing the needed bar to increase the stability of the door, he performed routine maintenance to oil the hinges etc. It barely makes a sound now!

The keypad and second door worked great but the new keypad rendered my old remotes useless. The technician gave me one remote for free, but I had to buy a second remote for $40! The technician was great and very apologetic for the technical problems, but I wish I did not have to spend the extra money unexpectedly.

Purchased an Angie's List deal of the day for $99.00. Technician came to our home on the same day, tuned up two garage doors and installed an entry key pad. While at our home we also asked that he make some repairs to both garage doors. The work was done, quickly, professionally and at a fair rate. We were quite pleased with the service and work done.

I called on Monday afternoon and spoke with Mike the owner. He put me first on his schedule and showed up at my door at 8:30am on Tuesday. He gave me options and worked at not having me have to spend more money than necessary to fix the job. I will definitely use him again in the future.

They did a great job and we were extremely pleased with the product up until we just sold our home. Our new home has a chain driven loud opener and we plan on calling them to come install a quiet opener soon.

By sheer grace, my new car was not damaged but I was not able to get the door open. I called 3 garage door repair service companies.....all I had reviewed 1st on Angie's List. Only A Better Garage Door called me back the same day. I made an appointment for the following day. The owner showed up, on time and was absolutely professional. He not only replaced the broken cable but gave the door system a tune up. The whole job took no more than 1 hour. No up-selling - just to the point, courteous, quality service for the task at hand. The price was certainly fair and their responsive was well worth the $300 when the other service companies didn't call back until over 48 hours later. Inexcusable. The folks at A Better Garage Door were great to work with from setting the appointment to writing the check. I would recommend them. And I don't recommend service providers unless they have earned my trust.

Fair and good work. We purchased an Angies List coupon for a keyless entry pad and door tune up. Our garage door would stop opening or closing halfway. The owner determined that we needed a new garage door opener. After a little back and forth, he gave us the discount for the coupon even though the coupon didn't apply. The door works perfectly now. He also installed the keyless entry pad and an infra-red trip sensor.

Mike's team replaced an old, wooden 16x7 garage door with a new, steel door with windows. Mike was very articulate and professional both on the phone and in person. Once I met him I knew I was going to use his company. I knew what I wanted from doing research at Home Depot and A Better Garage Door was able to provide, literally, a better garage door at a better price. We had to reschedule the install when one of his crew members fell ill and Mike was extremely apologetic for the inconvenience which I greatly appreciated. In the end, the weather was much better for the rescheduled install date and his team was on time, professional, and timely. I have used several contractors since purchasing this house almost three years ago for a variety of services including painting, electrical, gutters and general contracting. There are some I would not use again. A Better Garage Door is one that I absolutely will use again and recommend to friends!

Mike came out when we had an "emergency" with the old garage door stuck open when it got snagged on the car back-hatch door. He got the door down, provided a very competitive bid to replace the door, scheduled it for just 4 days later and completed the work in a timely manner. They arrived 15-20 minutes early for the installation, completed the work and cleaned up nicely. It was a father/son team that did our installation and they were GREAT! 100 % Recommended!

We discovered late Friday afternoon that one of the two springs on our garage door had broken, and we were unable to open the door. (Fortunately, one of our cars was already outside the garage!) It was 4:45 when we called, and they arranged to drop by today, Saturday, sometime between 11am and 1pm. At noon, Owner/Operator Mike Parks, a towering gentleman, arrived with a friendly greeting and got straight to work. He replaced both springs on our garage door. He also discovered that a guide wheel on one side of the door was completely missing, and so the steel rod was scraping against the metal of the wheel guide. He provided us the cost and we approved the additional work. All told, Mike spent about 45 minutes at our house. We were able to take advantage of a 10% discount as members of Angie's List. The springs replacement cost $247 with the discount. The roller replacement cost an additional $67.50 with the discount. Based upon our research we feel the price we paid was fair. If, heaven forbid, we need repair in the future, we plan to call on the services of A Better Garage Door.

Perfect Transaction! Our garage door opener stopped working. I called Mike at 11:30am and he was here promptly at 1:30pm as promised. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our 20 year old garage door opener, explained what repairing it would involve and the cost, and then provided us with the option to have a new unit installed instead. Based on the age and condition of our old unit we opted to have the new one installed. Mike proceeded to install a new high-end unit in about one hour, and then took the time to carefully adjust everything and walk me through all of the features of the new unit. A very personable, nice guy who did an outstanding job... I'd highly recommend him!

I bought Angie's big deal. When I put the garage door down, it came right back up and I thought it was because of the snow that was along the track but it wasn't, it was the censor thing. I was very impressed with the fellow that came out; I think he was the owner. He also oiled the roller and things on the garage door. Then there was another time about six to eight months after that, I was again having problems with the door going back up again and he told me what to do over the phone so he didn't need to come out. I was really impressed. He was good. He was out within a day or may be the same day. He did call ahead of time to tell me he was on his way. He was very professional.

The service was great, the professionalism was outstanding and I will be recommending the company.

Overall, they showed up on time, they knew what they were doing, completed the job on time and were very helpful in setting things up. Great experience.

Mike showed up within a few minutes of me calling and was very professional throughout. He replaced both springs and lubed the rollers. Didn't take him longer than about 25 or 30 minutes. He briefly tried to sell me some nylon rollers, but he wasn't pushy about it at all. He didn't have the absolute cheapest price that I could find, but it was within a few bucks and after talking to him and reading Angie's List I was comfortable going with him. Fantastic service, highly recommended.

I purchased the $99 garage door tune up coupon. Mike showed up promptly when scheduled and told me my 19 year old system was wearing out. He adjusted it and said it might last another year, but he would apply the $170 credit of the coupon to a new door opener and perform the tune up. I agreed and 2 days later he replaced my door opener with a more powerful belt drive opener with new remotes, wireless keypad, and sensors, and performed a complete tune up. He did an outstanding job, and cleaned up beautifully. I would hire him again if need be.

My garage door came off and tore up the track snapping the cable. I went to angies list and saw a Better Garage door. I called later than normal hours.the person who answered was also the person who came out. He informed me he had a couple of jobs in the AM but would swing by sometime in the Pm probably mid afternoon. I met with him and while he was checking out the damage he was very pleasant . He said my problem was minor compared to others he had worked on. All I need was a new cable and a small piece of track which he had. 15-20 minutes later he knocked on my door showed me my door operating like it had in the past. I asked him if it was possible to get just one panel since my top one was bent and intermittently caused problems.He said "sure no problem. I wrote him a check and told him i would get back to him to get the new panel. I would say he was one Of the nicest repairman I've come across in a while. He must like the cold and summer heat.. It went very well. The garage door tune-up was through and effective.

I initially reached out to the Angie's list key pad offer, because my existing unit functioned when it wanted to. It was 11 years old and showed it. Shortly thereafter, the electric motor and chain failed as well. I had already scheduled the keypad update, but called the better door folks on a Saturday. They answered off hours, and were ready on Monday morning with everything they needed to fix the old, failed parts, with belt driven more powerful replacements. They priced normally and gave me my Angie's List credit. Everything works fine, and they we pleasant to work with. Simply said, recommended.
