A Better Garage Door

It turned out very well with A Better Garage Door. He did a good job in servicing not one but two of my exterior garage doors. I was satisfied with the service, once he showed me what the problem was. It was more than just a little overhaul would take care of it so I was fine with the charge. On the special that you offer, I would give him an A on that but the service thing, it's just an expensive operation that's all. I will probably use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out fine. It was a very, very good experience. In fact, it was so good that my neighbor called him two weeks later when he run into his garage door upon my recommendation. It was $39 per door and there were two doors. The owner actually came out and he was a straight arrow and knew what he was doing. I was impressed and I actually prefer to deal like that. I would definitely use this guy again if I needed service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They came on time and did a good job. They were dependable, reasonable and nice. The price was good.

It was perfect and he did a really good job. He made sure that it was working properly. He was on time, professional, knew what he was doing, courteous and friendly. Everything was fine and I would use them again.

We highly recommend A Better Garage Door. One Sunday, we became captives of our garage door when the wall mount above the door, together with the block of wood it was attached to, came off the wall and blocked the garage door from opening. One of our cars was trapped in the garage. Considering it was Sunday, we called Mike with the intent to leave a voicemail message that he could return on Monday. Much to our surprise, we did not get Mike?s answering machine, we got Mike himself. Mike was able to give us a quote over the phone; he said he could fit us into his schedule the very next day (Monday) in the late afternoon. The next day, Mike called midday and said he could come by 2 hours earlier if that worked with our schedule. Of course that worked with our schedule, as we and our car were being held hostage. Mike showed up promptly and liberated our car in about 20 minutes. And our garage doors runs much better than it did before the incident. Perhaps best of all, we told him we found out about him on Angie?s List, and he gave us an Angie?s List discount. Mike was professional, prompt, and courteous, and he did excellent work.

It was fantastic! The guy came and he was really a personable guy. He fixed everything and explained what the problem was. He was able to complete the job in about an hour and a half. He knew exactly what he was doing. We have a 3 car garage with a large double door and smaller door. The larger one was the one giving us a problem, but he did the other one for me too. If I ever had any trouble, I would call him again. The price was the best bargain I've had in years!

They did a good job. I did not interact with them personally, my wife did, and she had nothing but good things to say.

It turned out excellent! It only took them about an hour to complete the work. He was amazing!

The person who came out seemed to know his business. He told me one of the two springs on my garage door was broken which I could see it was and recommended I have both replaced, which I did. He said the regular price was $325 but he would subtract the Angie's List deal I had paid for which was $39 for $85 worth of work. The total came to $250. His math was a little faulty as you can see. It should have been $240 but for some reason I didn't call him on it and told him to go ahead. The door sounds great now and works great. However, I later called Don's Garage Doors who I have used in the past through Angie's List and got a quote of $225 plus tax to do the same work. I used A Better Garage Door because I got a deal from Angie's List which turned out not to be such a "deal" after all. You can bet I will never use them again and will go back to Don's.

As soon as I purchased the deal, they called me. I love those guys! The guy that did the work was superb! He was able to complete the work in an hour. He replaced the rubber strips along the bottom. I will use them again, over and over again.

The technician showed up on time for the appointment even though it was cold and snowy out! We honestly expected that they might cancel due to the weather, but they didn't! Josh (I think?) explained exactly what he was going to do and got to work. It only took about 15-20 min. to inspect, check the door balance, tighten and adjust all of the hinges, and lubricated everything. He even lubricated the torsion springs, which I have never seen another garage door service do, even when installing the springs. He found a broken hinge, which was only $10 to replace. He pointed out that the sensors in the opener were going out. We've had issues with the door not opening all the way when it's very cold out, so this was not a surprise. He also tried to re-program our entry key pad and found that the circuit board had failed and could not be programmed (nor could we reprogram our other remotes). We suspected that the opener was on it's last legs, so none of this was a shocker! The opener is only 15-years old, but we are on our 3rd set of springs, so you can imagine how many cycles it has gone through. Even though the opener probably should be replaced, I was not given a hard sell at all (which was a pleasant surprise). After I mentioned that I would replace the opener myself, he even gave me recommendations for what to buy! Without hesitation, I highly recommend A Better Garage Door.

The company responded by email very quickly but was not able to do the work I need until late next week. I called him and he referred me to another company who can provide the service tomorrow. He was very friendly and suggested I contact Angie's list for the refund.

I asked for a quote to install a new garage door opener. A representative from A Better Garage Door contacted me shortly after I sent a message and informed me they do not install openers purchased from a different retailer. While this is unfortunate, I completely understand their hesitation. The representative told me by installing an opener not sold by them can cause warranty issues down the road.

It went really good. He showed up and got to work right away. We chatted a little about his work, his services he provides, and how long he had been in the business. Would recommend to anyone and will use him for future work.

Was right on time, super professional, took a quick look at the door and was quick to assess issues. He fixed quickly. And he was gone. Great service!

Service was top notch, the tech was there before I arrived, and he was ready to go. No hard sales, just good, informative info. Garage door is whisper quiet now, and all the work was completed in under an hour.

Scheduling was good; they were able to come out for the service within a week of my call. The service went well. One technician came for the service and had everything done in 20 minutes. He fixed the motion sensors, they were not aligned and the door would not close properly.

Excellent customer service. I want to have them put in new garage door openinger in a few months and rollers.

Repair went fine - just a bit more expensive than expected.

Mike took one look/listen at my garage door opener and knew the gears were worn out. He explained I had a couple of options. He could replace the gears in my current opener or replace the whole device. He asked me if I had found him on Angie's List, which was a yes, so I would receive 10% off my bill, and gave me the prices right there. I had existing universal garage remotes which he said if they could be programmed with the opener, then he could deduct that from my price. In the end I sprung for the new opener as I knew it would last longer rather than just replacing the gears. He had all the parts with him and replaced it in good time. My existing universal remotes were able to be programmed so I was able to save even more money. He was friendly and walked through all the new features of the opener. I will definitely call him again if I have other issues with my garage.

The tech was great and gave me an honest assessment of what my door needed. He adjusted springs and replaced some rollers and the door is much much smoother and quieter. I should've done this sooner!

He set it up very quickly, returned in two days with the part that he needed to make the car opener operate. Very professional.

I'm very pleased with everything about this service. Josh came out to tune up my garage door. He was professional, walked me through any issues and got right to work. He was done in 30 minutes or less. Also, he didn't try to rush me into buying anything I didn't need. He was straight forward on issues I will probably have in the future but did not try to push any unnecessary repairs or replacements. After the tune up my garage door runs better and is aligned much better also. No more gap at the bottom. I'm sure when I need to replace my opener I will call them first.
