A Better Garage Door

Mike was on time and finished his inspection and service in very short order. He courteously and professionally explained what kind of system we had (we didn't buy it--it was here when we bought the house),

My old garage door would only work intermittently. I called on Monday morning and Mike answered right away. He told me that he could have someone out that afternoon. His associate showed up within the appointment window and immediately knew that my circuit board was going bad on the garage door motor, which is what I had suspected. I asked him which models they sold and he told me two options I had and the price points. He also let me know that he had them in his truck if I was interested in having it installed right away. I decided to take the plunge and get it fixed and over with. He got right to work and finished exactly when he said he would. He even did some extra work, such as fixing the spacing on the door tracks so it wouldn't bind as much and re-secured the wiring from the opener to the wall controllers since they had been poorly secured in the past. They even take the old equipment away so you don't have to figure out how to dispose it. I had contacted this company and another top rated Angie's List company for this job and chose this one due to the fact that they don't charge a Service Charge for just coming out to look at the problem. Overall I was extremely pleased with the service and would recommend them to anyone needing garage door repairs / servicing. If you let them know you found them on Angie's List they do offer 10% off.

We hired them through Angie's list. They were super easy in setting up and appointment, came out to tune the garage doors and found our springs on our 2 car door were about to go. They had the springs with them and quickly replaced. Continued to tune the door and it works perfect now. They also tuned our single car garage door, even though the add states only good for one door. They didn't charge us for anything else and the service was great. Doors work great and we're happy. Not sure what the right price for this is so gave a B on that but I think it's on par with everything.

Service was great! He was prompt, efficient and reasonable. I appreciated his ability to quickly fix the problem in a reasonable way without all the tap dancing about what I should buy that I have seen from other providers. I would absolutely use him again for any size job from complete garage door replacement to a quick tune up!

Great service, I contacted them on Monday and he was here on Wednesday morning. He came with a selection of openers for me to choose from and was able get it installed without delay. The serviceman was professional, on time, very polite and knowledgeable. I feel like I got excellent service and a quality product. Great experience!

The owner Mike arrived to meet with me to go over options to repair or replace my current garage doors as scheduled. Mike was very professional and friendly he showed me several options for replacement doors as well as a possible repair solution. After reviewing my options I decided to have A Better Garage Door replace the doors with a much improved insulated version. The color matched my home perfectly and the doors are so quite I can hardly hear them open. I'm very pleased with the workmanship and the improvement to my home. Thanks for a great job done well.

A Better Garage Door was on time and professional. Having not had my garage door serviced in several years, I knew it needed servicing and fully expected additional charges and recommendations. To my delight, those additions were minimal and completed while Mike and his crew were on site. They replaced the rollers (definitely needed), adjusted the door so it closed correctly (even after I had hit the door with my truck some time ago), applied the proper lubrication and finished up. My garage door is now quiet and operating perfectly. Exactly what I expected. These guys are pros and they are now on my preferred list.

We had been having trouble with our garage door opener working very intermittently. He came out for a free estimate (was timely and very professional) and asked questions and inspected the opener and concluded that the problem was with the circuit board. Since the opener was already about 10 years old, we decided to just go with a new opener, which he promptly installed.

I called and left a message that I'd like to arrange an appointment for repair or replacement of my non-functioning garage door keypad. My call was NOT returned. I called Precision Garage Door and they came out the same day and had it operating properly in a matter of minutes. Now, that's service! I would not recommend A Better Garage Door. Apparently, my business wasn't large enough to be worth their time!

I called A Better Garage Door in the early afternoon of Tuesday, 01 July 2014, to inquire whether they could fix my garage door and opener and, if so, to work out scheduling. I left a message on their answering service. It is now a week later, 07 July 2014, and I have received no response from them. This also was a potential Angie's List Deal. I will call someone else. My, but that was a snotty reply. You sound irresponsible and un-businesslike.

I pointed out a problem I had been experiencing, and he warned me that, by the sound of my description, I may require a new door! Of course, one is left wondering if this is a scam. However, even though there is a problem stemming from the frequent usage of the door, Mike was able to correct the problem, and also (if it gets worse) a method of fixing it to add longer life without the expense of a total new door!!!

Very professional service, the vendor really took the time to explain things and was very kind - I had Josh on Mike's team. It turned out I needed to pick up an extension cord which was the only frustration - I would have expected the installer to have one and just add $10 to my invoice. The quality of work was very good and the attention to detail in the walkthrough was spot-on.

My wife was home when they did the service. The technician did a good job. He was professional and personable.

Setting the appointment was easy and efficient. Mike answered my calls each team and gave me an appt in the same week as my call. Super easy to find the right time. Mike was on time and completed the job very quickly. He fixed up my garage door (it needed some maintenance and parts here and there) and added the keypad and two remotes. Great service. I would highly recommend A Better Garage Door.

It was fine. They tried to up-sell but they were okay with not doing anymore.

The service was fine. They got the job done in about 3 hours. The cleanup was fine.

The maintenance window was from 10a-12p and they arrived at 10:30. Said it may take 3-4 hrs. They ran into some problems due to the low clearance in my garage but were able to work through them. Finished in 3 hrs flat. The installers were extremely nice, and worked well together. They were professional and I had great confidence in their abilities. I am very pleased with everything from the initial estimate visit to the final handshake when they left Thursday after the installation. Highly recommended.

The greatest service experience that I ever had. I called at 7:30 to get an estimate and Dave was here at 9:00. He had everything that he needed on his truck was done in ~30 minutes. We had a broken garage door spring.If you have any garage door problems, he is the guy to call....honest quick,dependable. SUPERB SERVICE!!!!!

The service was excellent. They fit me in the day I called and the technician who came to the house was on time and professional.He had a tricky repair situation in my garage and he did a great job. He completed the job in one hour.Really excellent service and I would recommend them.

It went Great. Our technician's name was Josh and he was very thorough, very professional and very knowledgeable. He provided optins and pricing on the spot and had the work completed under an hour. I was very happy with this Company and their service/work. Kudo's to Josh and his skills. hanks to Mike as well for getting us scheduled quickly and providing openings for our convenience. Fixed the garage door by putting on longer, better rollers. Works really good now. Only took about 30 minutes to fix. The extra parts seemed a bit pricey.

Mike clean, oiled, and adjusted door rollers. Further, he adjusted and or balanced the garage door; and, he replaced our wall door opener. He is fantastic - knowledgeable and experienced as well as a quality professional! We will recommend him to our neighbors.

I purchased the Angie's List deal for garage door tune-up, one for each garage door, on Apr 22nd, and Mike called that afternoon to schedule the appointment for Apr 24th. He arrived on-time and ready to go with the service. Mike did as promised with tightening bolts, replaced a missing bolt or two, greased the rails, and gave the doors a good look over. He was honest about one of the doors needing some part replacements, but since I don't use the garage door every day (more like once a month), the part replacements weren't needed. I've also been incredibly lazy about replacing a missing garage door opener: Mike had one on hand (additional cost to the tune-ups, perfectly expected) and programmed it within a minute. One less to-do item on the list!In all, Mike was very personable and professional, and I'll happily use him again if I require future service. At the moment, though, it's a relief to know that the doors are in good working order and shouldn't fail on me at the worst moment possible.
