Description of Work: Replaced the hot water heater. I've used Bell for the past 30+ years. Lowest price? No. But you get what you pay for. When the inspector finished the review he asked who had done the work. When I told him his response was " I could tell". Nuff said.

Description of Work: I lost an earring down my bathroom sink. The sink had been slow to drain since it was and every plumber I had out for anything told me it could not be fixed. I have used Bell for many years because they stand behind their work and will come back if something is not right. Dion could not undo my trap easily because of my pedestal, so he cleverly used a vacuum . I got my earring back, as well as a bullet back I had dropped, too. Then he put sodium hydroxide down it---and it drains perfectly now! He told me what nontoxic, enzyme/bacterial product to use monthly to take care of all my drains. I always learn something from their guys.

Description of Work: AC was not working. I wanted a whole new HVAC system. They could not do an estimate for 3 days. I hired another company Saturday and the work was done on Tuesday. One day before Bell was going to do just the estimate. |I had just gotten home from surgery so I needed my AC ASAP!

Description of Work: Installed toilet (price is for installation only), repaired kitchen faucet, replaced shower facet control. | |Bell is expensive, but does very high quality work. They are available when you need them. I previously used another lower priced plumber for several years, and switched when my kitchen faucet broke on Friday--a real emergency--and they wouldn't come until the following Tuesday. Bell was there same day.

Description of Work: The team was perfect. We are doing a multiple bathroom remodel, and the team of designers that were sent immediately connected with my wife. Great emotional and design connection.

Description of Work: Tech arrived and told us our repair would be $700 if not more. But he never turned on the faucet or flushed the toilet. We were charged for the estimate. The next plumbing company came in and told us the toilet had been set wrong, the sub-floor was rotted and we needed only $300 repair for plumbing, turned out exactly as he outlined. Contacted Bell and asked for a refund since the estimate was a)incomplete and b) inaccurate. Never heard from them again.

Description of Work: We first worked with Bell in 1993 when they remodeled a master bathroom to accommodate a roll-in shower for my brother who was in a wheel chair. The work was beautifully done; the roll-in shower floor was seamless so entry was a breeze. Water drains perfectly with the 1.5" slope to the drain. Still operates like new after more than 20 years. I recently had a small bathroom converted to two sinks which required new copper plumbing. Again, beautifully, professionally done. We had other services such as moving the washing machine and dryer to the walk-out basement in 1993 along with the installation of a double sink. Another professional job; plumbing is still working without leaks or any problems. Bell uses union labor so their rates are higher than some of the smaller or non-union plumbing companies. I've used both and will use Bell when I renovate the same 1993 basement next spring. Their work is exemplary.

Description of Work: They installed a new water heater after mine burst. The service was great...definitely above and beyond expectations.

Description of Work: Incorrectly installed new shower valve in bathroom remodel at a very high price of $603. Note this was labor only. We furnished the new valve. During installation, the tech, Matt, was questioned as to whether the new valve was properly positioned so it would properly align with the finished ceramic tile. He claimed he had installed dozens of similar valves and that it was properly installed. When preparing for tile installation the next day, we found that the valve was not properly placed in the shower wall. We called Bell first thing on Saturday morning, and they sent out another Tech who confirmed the valve was inproperly installed. This Tech removed the valve and reinstalled it. After completing the tile work, we discovered that the reinstallion still was defective in that the valve was installed with an upward angle requiring excessive caulk around the trim plate against the tile wall. Our opinion, is very poor quality work for a $603 charge.

Description of Work: Tried to nickel and dime for each piece of work. Tech said that is how they work given they are always available last minute. Very overpriced for the work performed.
