ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT

I wish I could remember the name of the tech that came out because he was great. He found a small gas leak at the furnace and he found that my thermostat was wired incorrectly. No extra charges were asked for. I'll use this company again and I highly recommend them.

The guy was scheduled to show up between 9-10am for a standard inspection/cleaning using the coupon I bought from Angie's List. He called about 8:45am to let me know he was on his way and showed up about 9:15am. He was super friendly and proceeded to check the HVAC unit. He cleaned the unit and made sure everything was in good working order. He then went outside to clean and inspect the AC compressor. Fortunately, we didn't have any issues and he explained everything he was doing and told me how to keep everything clean and why (changing the filter regularly, making sure there was no debris on the compressors air intake, etc).I was also having some issues with sufficiently cooling the upstairs in hot weather. He took a look and explained the problem I was having was that the size of the ductwork going into the upstairs was too small to push enough air up there. He also explained that upgrading the furnace/blower probably wouldn't have much effect given the size of the ducts (i.e. only so much air can be pushed through a small duct). I really appreciated the fact that he took the time to explain all this and didn't try to take advantage and sell me something I didn't need.I will definitely be using these guys in the future and will be recommending them to all my friends.

We had a great experience with Rocky Mountain Heat. Lou was able to get one of his techs to our property same day to diagnose 1 of our 3 AC units. With renters at our property and temps rising timing was key.The tech was experienced and professional. He returned the next day as promised to complete the repair once the part was located. Rocky Mountain Heat SAVED ME after another company dropped the ball big time! That company promised to service my air conditioning system within 30 days. They kept scheduling, then cancelling and finally, the day before their deadline, called to say they wouldn't make it. I called Rocky Mountain Heat and they came out and serviced the air conditioner THE NEXT DAY!!! Plus, they did a GREAT job!! I will use them every year from now on!! They are professional, courteous, and priced right.

I like them. I would use them again. They were prompt. They fixed the problem that we had. They took care of it. Prices were reasonable. They were professional.

They were efficient. They solved the problem right away. They were professional. I couldn't ask for more.

They installed a new HVAC at a reasonable price and did a great job! Saved me from having a heat stroke in my second-floor condo during a summer heat wave.

The man who came over (I can't remember his name, sadly) was amazing. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge about all things air conditioning and heating and he had a solution to every problem that arose (and my unit hasn't been serviced since 1985, so trust me, there were problems). Now I live in luxurious 74-degree comfort while the 95 degree summer heat is inches away through the walls of my house. Heck of a job, Rocky Mountain Heat, HECK OF A JOB!

Not only did I pay the $69, but I ended up paying for a "StopLeak" for $169 and 1# of Freon at $60. After that I had to ask the guy to please clean the A/C unit. He didn't bring a filter with him as I thought he was going to do, probably a misunderstanding. He said that the $169 and the $60 included the 10% discount. That, I simply did not believe. If so, he should have put the normal price on the invoice, then put the discount price on invoice. The guy was not smart enough to have figured out the 10% discount. I would feel better to have SEEN the discount, which was $22.90. I would have felt much better about this service had this guy given me the $22.90 discount, which he claims was already in the "fixed" price. Don't believe him. It's odd how a fixed price comes out to be so exact as $60 and $169, with the 10% discount. Just think about that, not logical. I really feel a tad ripped off. Had to go buy a filter for $8 and had a difficult time putting it in as my hands are disabled. I spent $298 (which includes initial $69, discludes furnace filter). He was here for a total of 16 minutes. With furnace filter, I spent $306. My income for the entire month is just over $1800. So if you are on a fixed income, be careful or push for the 10%. I think the guy was experienced, he only worked for the company. I want to be as fair as I can because the woman that takes the calls is very nice and actually does listen. I would have felt better had the 10% NOT already been "included" in the cost. Didn't make sense, didn't feel like such a deal. I don't think the guy knew how to take the 10% off, he was a Trump supporter, with all due respect, which had nothing to do with service call. It's difficult to rate quality. I guess I have to see how well the expensive "StopLeak" works. I wonder if it's really $169 or if it's cheaper elsewhere. I don't know if I would hire again. Maybe if they sent a different guy, I would. But when it comes to A/C or furnace checks, it's 6 of one and a half dozen of others. I've been taken so many times that it's simply difficult to trust any of them. It happens a lot when you are old, disabled and a single woman. Can't say he was fair or unfair, just have the complaint about the 10% issue and no furnace filter, as I had previously given the size. Had I got the discount and a furnace filter, I might not be writing this. But not for one minute did I believe him when he said the 10% discount was already included. So I did feel ripped on that. It's not the company, it was the worker. c

It was a Tuesday, after the July 4th holiday. We had tried three other companies, but they were booked for at least a week. I called Sue, and she was so sweet. She was able to get someone out the next morning. They arrived on time! They diagnosed the problem and called it in. Sue worked hard to get the part ordered and get our air back on. She succeeded. We were up and running within 24 hours.

I paid $138.00 to have my condenser sprayed? That constitutes a tune up ? I booked my appointment online and waited a week for a response. When none was forthcoming I called them. They did not have the correct phone number. Fair enough. However, they did have the correct email. Clearly doing business with Angie's Lister's coupon holders is not a high priority. I requested a Saturday appt if possible, Sue told me that it was a possibility and that she would get back to me, meanwhile we booked a Friday afternoon appt. Thursday mid morning Sue calls with a cancelation and would I like to take it? "that'd be great" I said. An hour or so later Sue calls back saying that the tech is "stalled on I25 with vehicle problems" and that we would have to revert back to the previous appt on Friday. Okay, no problem. Car troubles happen. Friday morning, Sue calls first thing to confirm my appt for SATURDAY. The requested Saturday appt was never booked, confirmed or even talked about after I made the first call to get an appt for an A/C and Furnace "tune up". I remind Sue about the conversation that we had yesterday and that my appt was for today; Friday. Sue confirms my appt for the afternoon. An hour later Sue calls back to reconfirm my appt for the afternoon. An hour later Sue calls back to see if I would be available earlier than scheduled. "Sure" I say. Thirty or so minutes later the tech shows up. Great, lets get started! The tech was a very nice gentleman. He was in and out of my house in 15 to 20 minutes. He told me I'd likely need a new furnace based on some rust and water condensation from the humidifier on my furnace and that I should rebook with Sue for a "complete inspection of the interior of the furnace" to see what's going on with the rust. He ascertained and confirmed that my A/C unit was "working beautifully" by having me feel the side of the A/C ducting vent to see how cold it was. Huh? I totally agree. I should get my furnace inspected and I will, while I'm at it I'll go ahead and get an A/C tune up too. Not from Rocky Mountain Heat though. Upon reading several reviews on Angie's List and elsewhere, it is apparent that they have way to many "car problems" and that responsiveness and "customers with coupons" are not priorities.

Service tech arrived on time and prepared to do inspection of air conditioning unit, system, ducts, furnace connection and room vents and performed inspection, explaining operation and answering homeowner's questions as he went. New home and first-time homeowner, so many questions and tech was very patient and helpful in answering questions and explaining operation of heating/cooling system and offering tips on conservation by not cooling unused basement areas by closing room vents and explaining operation of "smart" thermostat. Entire inspection took about an hour in home and, two weeks later, when I discovered water leak near furnace from condensation overflow, Louis, the owner of Rocky Mountain Heat, personally came out to check cause of water leakage and corrected it at no additional charge. Thee guys are great and I plan to see them again in the Fall when I will have the furnace serviced for heating season!

His team did a great job getting the unit in quickly and were very professional. Payment could have gone a bit smoother, the team didn't know the final amount and was asking for a check when we wanted to pay with a card. After conferring with Lou on the final amount they ran the card with no problems. We ended up having a problem with our nest thermostat a day later and Lou had a tech out to fix it in a few hours. Lou was very accessible throughout the entire process and more than willing to talk through questions on the phone. I would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Heat.

Lou and crew did an outstanding job installing our new furnace. They were prompt, friendly, thorough, and completed a high quality job very quickly. I highly recommend them and will call them for any future HVAC needs I may have.

Overall it was a good experience. It took a little back and forth to get the appointment scheduled, but I think that was primarily due to a cold snap that hit Denver. The tech was prompt, friendly, and explained everything.

Everything was explained to me and they were happy to have a conversation about what they did and how I could upkeep the furnace in the future.

Great job. Person was professional, did a great job cleaning out my furnace and pointed out some areas that needed to be addressed. I felt very comfortable with him in my home and trusted his knowledge. He had great recommendations for the heater but didn't try to up sell. Just gave me his assessment and talked about some easy things that could be done. Would use them again, in fact, already purchased an A/C cleaning in the spring.

Had no heat for one full night (brrrr) and called 3 companies in the morning. The first one to respond was Rocky Mountain. The dispatcher asked if we had any other heat source and were we ok. Very impressive. When she called back (w/in 1/2 hour) she set a time less than 4 hours away. Lou, the owner showed up at the beginning of the 1 hour time window they gave. He called me at work to tell me what the problem was and what he did. Also let us know the root of the issue, an ill fitting filter and where we could order special size filters. And only charged me $90, barely more than the winterization I SHOULD have had! What a great experience.

Rocky Mountain heat did a great job. I purchased a $69.00 furnace cleaning and seasonal service deal through Angie's List. I did not realize that I hadn't updated my phone number on Angie's List, which they tried to call and I hadn't realized. Still, the techs showed up on the day I requested and were extremely professional and efficient. They cleaned a 10 year old furnace that had a lot of drywall dust from the previous owners renovations. Best of all he confirmed the furnace was still working great. I will absolutely use Rocky Mountain Heat in the future.

It was 90 in the house and the A/C wasn't working. The service tech was prompt, friendly and efficient. He did a tune up and cleaning of the furnace and A/C, made some minor repairs and had the A/C up and running in a few hours. We will definitely use Rocky Mountain Heat in the future.
