The Tech arrived on time. He had not been briefed on the soundbar installation but had to call his office to confirm it. Strike 1 However, he had also forgotten to bring the stem type plastic wire cover. Strike 2. Since I did not want to reschedule the appointment, I volunteered to purchase a suitable plastic wire cover from Home Depot according to his specs and have its cost deducted from the total. Following the installation after the tech left, I noted that the wire cover was not fully closed because the wires had not been carefully run through the wire cover channels and were not lying flat. It seemed an easy fix but It meant removing the sound bar first. Then I noted that the sound bar mounting bar bracket had been installed upside down with openings facing down which was of course an insecure install. Strike 3. I called Nextday Techsand requested a follow up visit to correct these issues. I was told that a tech would call me to set up the appointment. I stressed this should be quickly. This was because we were expecting guests soon who would be staying with us. After 24 hours without a call back I called again and this time the attitude had hardened. I was told they had taken a photograph of the install which seemed OK to them and had my signature on the work and so they would send a tech out but only "the next time one was in my area!" Of course everyone knows what this means in customer service talk. Their photograph could not possibly show the incorrect sound bar mounting bracket install since this was covered by the sound bar itself and the gap in the plastic wire cover was only visible from the side and their photograph was a front-on view. I had a heated argument with the company and they did not acknowledge the defects in their service nor give me any date for fixing the problems. So, in the end, I fixed these problems myself. So in summary, I got a tech who was incompletely briefed on the scope of work and who did not bring a key item of mounting hardware with him that I then went out and purchased for him. The install of the plastic stem covering the wires and the sound bar install was done incorrectly. The company expressed no regret and gave me no date for correcting these problems, causing me to have to fix these problems myself. For $417 I think one should get a heck of a lot better service than this.
