The job went great! Nick had a gas flex in his vehicle and installed it to bring original 1966 heater up to code. He was able to tell me it was the original heater. The Southern California Gas technician who first came out to inspect the heater said that the firebox appears cracked or ruptured. Nick adjusted the pressure and burner so that it kept a constant flame. Another Southern California Gas technician came out and inspected the newly repaired heater and said everything looks great, we don't have to buy a new one. He was amazed by Nick's low price of just $45! Thank you so much for excellent work, being so helpful, and having a great attitude and also not price-gouging us just before Christmas. Really appreciate you and would definitely call you again!

It was a superb experience dealing with Sinclair Heating and Air Conditioning. The repair person was professional, knowledgeable, very honest, and very clear on his diagnosis and repair work. I do not have the name of the repair person since it was my wife who was home at the time of the service visit, but his work was excellent and we have enjoyed a very comfortable summer and a very "cool" one thanks to Sinclair's services. To understand the extent of our satisfaction with Sinclair I would have to mention the offer we received from a local home improvement store under their repair or replace promotion. As I was looking to fix our A/C problems they offered to send in their A/C service company for a free diagnosis visit and an honest estimate. I should have known the home improvement's store service was questionable when they called to inform me that the free visit would cost me $75. Nevertheless, I agreed to it and when the repair person showed up it took him longer to climb up our two story house than to come down and tell me the A/C unit was beyond repair. He proceeded then to outline my A/C options the cheapest of which was a new unit for about $12,000. I politely declined and sent him on his way. Through my membership in Angie's List I decided to search for services for a second opinion and that is how I found Sinclair Heating and Air Conditioning and selected them due to their ratings and their proximity to our home. A very good choice indeed.

He is so good. Everything works wonderfully. He comes when he says he will.

He was excellent. He explained everything and his price was $700.00 cheaper than another company. I decided to go with him since the price was much more reasonable. I was very pleased with his work. They were a very honest company as well.

Nick was great. He was our low cost bidder but provided the highest quality work and service. I've never written a review but Nick deserved it. He's a really nice guy too!

The serviceman responded that same afternoon and was quickly able to get the unit working properly. It only required a new fuse which he had on his truck. I don't recall the gentleman's first name but I do remember that Mr. Sinclair is one of the most friendly and honest servicemen I've come across. I definitely recommend him to anyone needing heating and air service.

I had called Sinclair Heating and Air earlier in the summer to fix a problem with our AC, which, of course, occurred during a heat wave. I had called several other companies, but they were all booked. When I spoke with Nick he said he was booked, too, but might be able to squeeze me in at the end of the day. Sure enough, he called a little after 5:00 saying he was on his way! He was very polite and professional, and fixed the problem quickly. When our AC stopped working the second time I called Nick immediately. He came out the same day, and again fixed the problem quickly. This time it was an issue with the circuit breaker. Both times he was very patient in explaining the problem and solution. I highly recommend Sinclair Heating & Air!

During a heat wave my a/c stopped working. I called Sinclair and Nick apologized that he couldn't come out for a couple of days but when he heard I worked far from my home and he offered to make an evening call for my convenience. He arrived on time and quickly assessed the problem. I was expecting him to say I needed a new a/c and was impressed by his honesty and good work ethic as well as the reasonable bill he gave me. I needed a new filter and he offered to drop one off to me. A couple of days later he called to see if I was able to put the filter in and said if I needed help he would stop by and do it for me.. In the future I will use Sinclair for a new a/c installation and would recommend him to anyone needing this service.

Mr. Sinclair was well mannered, professional, competent, and reliable. I very much appreciated that he said my 25-year-old AC unit was still working OK, and he didn't in any way try to sell me on anything new. His price was very reasonable, indeed. I will most definitely call upon him again when I need heating or AC work done in my home. We have had very hot weather for the past couple of weeks and my AC unit has been working perfectly.

I called Sinclair on Monday morning and reached Nick Sinclair. Nick made an appointment with us for Tuesday afternoon to service our Trane 14 seer air conditioner. The low output was the result of a duct that had come loose. Nick repaired the connection and the air flow was high through all vents. Nick tested the air conditioner and saw that its Puron refrigerant level as a little low and so he brought that up to spec. I also had Nick fix a clog in the main drain line that was causing the air conditioner to use the secondary drain that dumps a messy liquid outside the house.All and all, Nick is extremely knowlegable and fixed all our issues in less than an hour at a very low cost. Our house is now very comfortable again. I would recommend Sinclair to anyone needing air conditioning repairs.

When my air conditioner would not turn on, I phoned Sinclair Heating and Air at 5:30 PM and got a return call within 15 minutes. Nick the owner, was very personable and arrived at my residence within 45 minutes to check out my air conditioner. Fortunately for me, it was only a circuit breaker problem and was an easy fix. However, Nick check out and tuned my air conditioner and made sure there were no further problems with the circuit breaker. Nick is very knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to call him again, or recommend him to friends and family.

I couldn't have been more impressed with Mr. Sinclair. I called him late on a Saturday afternoon when my AC blower suddenly stopped functioning. Said he would be there within 30 min - arrived in 20. Was very courteous and professional. Quickly diagnosed the problem to be just a loose panel which was causing the panel switch to lose contact (the panel had been inadvertently knocked loose earlier in the day and improperly replaced). Since no actual repair was required, he only charged me $20 - for an emergency house call on a Saturday. I was in shock - I truly felt guilty paying that little. I would definitely use Mr. Sinclair's services in the future and would certainly recommend him to others.

Our heater was broken so we called Nick around mid-day. He came to the house later the same day and diagnosed the problem immediately. Two days later, he returned with the part needed to fix the issue and installed it. Nick Sinclair is punctual, friendly, professional, and very efficient. His rates are also extremely fair. We will use his services in the future and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We had an old asbestos-type furnace vent pipe which needed to be replaced so I called up Nick to give a service estimate. He had a client in Riverside on that Saturday but still he was able to pass by the house to check on it. My wife and I felt his sincerity and professionalism in dealing with us. After asking around from other contractors, we’ve decided to get the service of Nick. He came early to get all things done and we were surprised that he even lowered his price estimate. Another great thing about him is that he offered to spray paint our new vent pipe without charging us. It’s rare to find a contractor like Nick and we are grateful that we found him here in Angie’s List.

Nick came out twice for two different unrelated problems with my heater...both times very prompt came when he said...and fixed right away.I would and have recommend his services.

Completed the job quickly - no mess.

Every time we tried to run our furnace for the last 12 months or so we smelled gas throughout our house. We have had several heating/ac companies come out to diagnose what was wrong with our furnace including several city gas inspectors. We were basically told that we would have to replace the entire unit (with an estimate of over $3000 by one company) as nobody was able to figure out what was wrong. We got on Angie's list and found Nick Sinclair and he had nothing but positive reviews and let me say he surpassed our expectations! He came over and inspected the furnace and ended up discovering that our roof vents had been capped and closed by a roof repair company about a year ago which was not allowing the furnace to burn efficiently and causing the house to smell like gas. He spent a total of almost six hours over two days at our house diagnosing and then fixing the furnace. He charged us exactly the price he quoted and he didn't charge us for the time spent diagnosing the problem with the furnace! He is extremely professional, knoweledgable, ethical, and punctual. Not only did he fix the problem (which nobody else was able to do) he did so at an very resonalbe price. I would whole-heartedly recommend Nick to anyone with heating or a/c challenges. I called him on Martin Luther King Holiday. Got a very positive response. Showed up within 2 hours. Displayed detailed knowledge about my heating system (American Standard Freedom 80). Had the problem figured out within 1/2 an hour. Was a failed run-up fan blower capacitor. Replaced the capacitor with a part he had on the truck. Mr. Sinclair is a very positive individual to do business with. Total cost on a Holiday with one phone call was $80. I definitely recommend Sinclair Air Conditioning & Heating.

12-10-11 My furnace was not working. I called Nick in the morning and he said that he would arrive at 5pm. He arrived promptly. He was very nice and personable. He explained the problem and found the least expensive solution rather than try to sell me a new furnace. He went to Lowe's to buy a filter and he purchased 2 extras for me. I will definitely call on Nick to check my AC in the spring.
