Chim Chiminey Sweep

Tom arrived promptly as scheduled, called ahead of time saying he was on the way. Tom was very professional and pleasent and took care of everything. The chiminey is back in good shape all things inspected and no extra costs for improvements that were not needed. I am very satisfied, will use him again and would recommend him highly.

Thom did a fantastic job. He was right on time, did a quick evaluation and listened to my concerns, which is how he fixed our gas lighting pipe. Very professional. I would recommend him to anyone that needs to have their chimney swept out or cap replaced.

I wanted information on reducing costs for heat and needed to know my options in using gas vs wood. I learned from him that the configuration and location of my fireplace was a big issue, but he also explained how I could make changes with newer products using gas. Tom has an easy manner, extremely knowledgeable and willing to give recommendations. Importantly, he did not try to sell anything. He checked the gas outlet and also removed existing concrete logs so I could burn a small amount of wood I already had. Pleasantly, from call to completion for this, was quick. I plan on using him again.

Tom called promptly after we purchased the big deal, and showed up as scheduled. He inspected and cleaned the soot from the chimney (I was shocked at how much was there) in our newly purchased house. We ordered logs through him, and he came back when they were delivered and installed the necessary gas line, the logs and the ignitor kit we had ordered ourselves. He was knowledgeable and efficient and he laid drop cloths to protect our floors and furniture, and did a fine job of cleaning up after himself. We thought he did a fine job and we would recommend him.

Both gentlemen were very pleasant, and performed the chimney cleaning quickly.

Tom was great. He was running a bit behind (15 min.) but he called 15 minutes before the appointment to let us know he would be a bit late. He was very considerate of our eggshell carpet and put down heavy duty coverings over the carpet and draped the fireplace so nothing would escape. We had a neighbor who complained about sparks coming out of the chimney so we wanted him to make sure everything was safe. He did a thorough cleaning and inspected everything on the roof. He assured us that our chimney was safe so that was good to hear. He pointed out a small crack in the back of the fireplace and recommended we get a reflector shield to keep the crack from growing larger. He referred us to an online company that carried a lot of fireplace items and prices there were reasonable. The whole appt. lasted about 30 to 40 minutes and he was very personable joking with myself and husband during the inspection. He recommend we have a yearly inspection which I know is recommended when you have a fireplace that gets used often like ours does. He said he will send a reminder to us when the time comes which I thought was a very good policy because I am sure I would forget. I highly recommend Tom to anyone who needs a excellent Chimney Sweep.

Really perfect. There is no way to go wrong with this guy. He is friendly, professional, knowledgeable. We really like the fireplace a lot more now because he put our gas logs back in for us in a way that makes them work much better. No pressure. He said we did not require the screening on top, but I wanted it in case we do switch to wood and because have been having a problem with birds on top dropping stuff down the chimney. Great to no longer have sudden sounds of stuff hitting the chimney closure.

Great job. Serviceman evaluated the cause of fireplace soot and provided a remedy we would not have thought of. He was so quick in completing this task to our satisfaction, that he had time to clean our dryer vent, as well.

I bought a rental property and wanted to make sure the chimney was cleaned out before tenants started using the fireplace. He was easy to reach by telephone, and he arrived on time. He offered helpful suggestions and finished the work promptly.

Thom was great. He was easy to reach, and we were able to schedule a cleaning within a few days. He arrived on time and delivered as promised. We just purchased a home with 3 wood burning fireplaces and since I didn't know how long it was since they had been cleaned, I wondered if a chimney sweep might see the opportunity to say "well...all 3 should be cleaned." He actually told me on the phone that although he'd inspect all 3, it was likely only 1 would need cleaning...and he was true to his word. He was clean and courteous. We were having a lot of work done on the house and our driveway was full or worker trucks. Thom was on the roof and my wife was trying to back her car out, up a steep driveway and around the many trucks. He actually climbed down off the roof, and helped her back out...he even stood in the road to make sure no traffic was coming. Very thoughtful and a sign of the kind of person he is. I will definitely use his services again.

They were excellent. It was just the easiest transaction that I've ever had. I called, talked to them, set an appointment. I wasn't home we weren't living in the house at the time so he let himself in, did the work and called immediately afterwards and let me know what he had done and that everything was in order. He also asked if I had any questions on how to use the fireplace appropriately just give him a call. We processed the payment over the phone. He was fair.

Showed up early. Explained what he was going to do. Installed a new gas log set after cleaning the chimney. The cost of the sweeping and installation was $300.00 less than the local chimney store price which did not include the cleaning. Very efficient worker. Would definitely use him again.

Tom arrived on time and was very pleasant to speak to. My housemate has cats and he was exceptionally good with them as well. The inspection and cleaning all went smoothly (which is a first for this house) and he took the time to show me how to use my fireplace correctly, how to keep it clean and how to check for when it needs maintenance. I only rated a B on the cost because it seemed like $199 was a little high, but this is the first time I've ever paid for a chimney inspection and the fireplace looks beautiful (and doesn't have generations of birds and their poo in there any more). Also, it required additional mesh screening that fireplaces normally don't have, which contributed to the cost. When I need maintenance again, I'll give Tom a call for sure.

We hired Chim Chimney Sweep for chimney service. This is our first home that has a fireplace so we are pretty green when it comes to operations/maintenance. That being said, they were very patient with our questions and took the time to fully explain and answer everything. They were pleasant over the phone when I called to set a date/time. They were pretty busy and limited availability but we managed to secure a time that would work within a 2 week timeframe. The tech arrived on time, inspected the chimney (inside and out), cleaned the chimney and fireplace, answered all of our questions and gave us pointers on how to properly build a fire, log counts, wood type for burning and how NOT to extinguish a fire (ie: NO WATER - I had thought about it before but never did it). We were pleased with their customer service and workmanship and will be looking at booking their services on an annual basis.

The office staff (Glen) and the owner (who did the work), were very easy to work with. Friendly, professional, thorough. I was pleased with their company and will use again.
